Why will the intel agencies brief the president on lies and unverified intelligence? Then the intelligence agencies also went to brief congress members of both parties on these same lies.

Meanwhile, John Bolton was said to have personally briefed the presidenf on this same matter more that a year ago. Also the matter of Russian bounty on US soldiers was included in the daily written briefings submitted to the president earlier this year.

President Trump has now been briefed on intelligence regarding Russian bounties on coalition forces in Afghanistan, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Tuesday.

McEnany confirmed that Trump had been briefed on the matter during a press briefing Tuesday afternoon, but emphasized that there is still not a “consensus” in the intelligence community regarding the information.

“The president has been briefed on what is unfortunately in the public domain because of the New York Times,” McEnany told reporters. “But that does not change the fact that there is no consensus on this intelligence that still has yet to be verified.”

McEnany vociferously criticized the Times, which first reported on the intelligence on Friday, for publishing what she described as unverified information, saying it damages the U.S. government’s ability to collect intelligence.

The Times first reported Friday that Russia covertly offered payments to Taliban-linked militants for successful attacks against coalition forces in Afghanistan. The White House denied that Trump or Vice President Mike Pence were personally briefed on the matter prior to reports about the intelligence. Subsequent reports have said the information was included in the President’s Daily Brief (PPB), a written classified document summarizing intelligence given to Trump daily. McEnany has declined to say whether the information was in the PDB. Trump is known not to read the written briefs and prefers to receive oral briefings a handful of times a week.

American officials intercepted electronic data showing large financial transfers from a bank account controlled by Russia’s military intelligence agency to a Taliban-linked account, which was among the evidence that supported their conclusion that Russia covertly offered bounties for killing U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan, according to three officials familiar with the intelligence.

Maybe the intel that reported that Trump was not DNI or that Ratcliffe was not aware that Trump was briefed. Or, simply one of them is lying.

Interpol has resoundingly rejected the Iranian government’s request for help in carrying out an arrest warrant for U.S. President Donald Trump, in a statement sent to CNBC late Monday.

“Under Article 3 of INTERPOL’s constitution ‘it is strictly forbidden for the Organization to undertake any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious or racial character’,” the Lyon-based international organization said in the emailed statement.

Iran on Monday issued an arrest warrant for Trump over the killing of its top commander, Gen. Qasem Soleimani, in January. Soleimani led Iran’s Quds Force, the foreign operations wing of the elite paramilitary Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The Trump administration labeled him a terrorist, and Washington deemed him responsible for the deaths of hundreds of U.S. troops in Iraq — but in Iran, he was widely revered as a hero.

The 62-year-old Soleimani was killed in a drone strike directed by Trump in early January while in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. News of his death sent regional tensions and oil prices soaring and triggered a retaliatory attack by Iran and its proxies on Iraqi bases housing U.S. troops.
