I just received my ICAS report now. The challenge i have is the expiry date on my international passports which expires in May 24, 2015. Counting six months backward, it starts from November 24, 2015. If i send my application by month end, will it still be processed considering the issue on my passport.

Or

Do you suggest i renew my passport and send the application at a later date.

If you are sure you will send your application, and it will be received at cic on or before 23rd of nov, you can submit with the current passport.

One question. Pls how long did your evaluation with ICAS take.

Goto the British council site there are new dates now 6th and 13th December 2014.
To pay with Gtb card, goto gtb site with your token handy, access your account and get an activation code, then goto the BC site, register and make payment, mastercard security measures will redirect you to where you will input the activation code.

Note to all: if you have a savings and current account will Gtb, your atm card is attached to your current account by default for online bank payment. Particularly for those who opt for CC charge, call gtconnect to ascertain which account your mastercard ATM card is assigned to. In addition, I would advise you test the credibility by using to pay for ielts and ECA before opting as a mode of payment to CIC.

Hello everyone, for those worried about been unable to take the ielts exams in lagos this year, take note, except the exam date is closed, there is still a chance to register. I see November dates are full, what you have to do is check the BC website every morning. The bookings are refreshed to discard unpaid bookings after 5days, so sometimes a 1% or 2% availability may appear on some dates.

Seems no one is from Madonna University here, anyway this is the message i got from CES after my application to WES failed:

We have recognized degrees from this university in the past, although we cannot guarantee the result of any assessment in advance.

CES cannot tell you in advance whether your degree is recognized, or which Canadian degree we would compare it to.
This is part of the assessment service that we offer to our clients.


So i will give it a try. it take 11 weeks

i am just worried if my NOC 1111 will not be filled at that time. (129 now)

ICAS Assessment Reports include formal academic education completed at appropriately recognized institutions.  Our reports do not include in-service professional development, work experience or professional examinations (such as those in accounting).  We will include in our reports, qualifications issued by universities which are recognized by the National Universities Commission in Nigeria.

Above is the message I got from ICAS, I think I will settle for ICAS since their reply is more assertive, regardless of their 15weeks evaluation period.

ferdimako: But does it mean u did not pre-evaluate online with WES? ECE ought to have been straightforward with their talk. Anyway, 1000-129=u have go enough time!

Pre-evaluate how? only Uniport was indicated on the site regarding the fact that they do not evaluate.

also, i have a fixed deposit with a micro finance bank is this acceptable as a PoF, or it has to be a recognised commercial bank. i dont want to raise CIC's eyebrows

Please is anyone an alumni of Madonna University here, if so, Please which evaluation body did you use in assessing your transcript.

damkollins: How dis you submit your transcript ?
Did you follow WES directives ?
When your documents get cancelled ,it simply means the document received is not acceptable because it does not meet WES document requirements. You must resubmit the required document(s) as specified. Please review the document requirements as it applies to your person.

Pls help below is the message I just received from WES
I feel really devastated, after spending so much on this.
What do I do next?!


"We have received and reviewed the documents that were submitted to WES for
credential evaluation. We regret to inform you that WES does not have
sufficient and reliable information at this time to evaluate academic
records from Madonna University, Nigeria. Therefore, your application has
been cancelled.

All academic records on file will be discarded and you will be fully
refunded $299.45.  If you paid by credit card, your account will be
refunded immediately.  In all other cases a check will be mailed to you
within four weeks.

Hey great people, please help me out here, my university has sent my transcript to WES, i checked my WES profile on tuesday and i saw "document received" but i checked today only to see my evaluation status as "cancelled" "refund pending", please can someone explain. i didnt change my order by the way.
