Politics / Re: Can Tinubu Survive Acting Like Buhari? by gawu1: 5:32pm On Aug 03 |
Really, the Igbo will never forget how President Buhari controlled and curtailed their misbehaving. Nnamdi Kanu, the albino hunchback supreme leader is still languishing in prison. Python dance remains a memorial event. |

Politics / Re: Wike Approves Promotion Of 1,018 Senior, Junior Staff Of FCDA by gawu1: 12:16pm On Aug 01 |
safetyboot:This news is belated because not only has approval been given, but promotion letters have already been issued and implementation and payment of arrears have already started. He implemented a 25% to 35% wage increase last month and will pay the remaining 5 months' arrears this July, along with 2023 promotion arrears. Honestly, Wike's performance so far is commendable. If he continues at this pace, he could end up setting a new record after El Rufai. |

Svoboda:And do you think that Tinubu of Nigeria can take down Dangote of Nigeria the same way Putin of Russia took down some Russian businessmen? Dangote has made a massive investment in that refinery, so he wouldn't let it go easily like that. Also, keep in mind that Dangote is originally from northern Nigeria, and he's an internationally recognized businessman with a strong network and connections, making it difficult for anyone to bring him down easily. |

Politics / Re: 180 Reps Members Adopt Hon. Aguocha’s Motion Seeking Nnamdi Kanu’s Release by gawu1: 5:38pm On Jul 23 |
gidgiddy:Let them back their support for his release by providing the court with reasons and evidence why he should be set free. Going about making political statements that he should be released will not work. Only the court can pronounce his release not even a referendum, take less of some very few opportunists calling themselves minority caucus. |
Politics / Re: Alleged Defamation: Peter Obi Drags Onanuga To Court, Seek N5 Billion Damages by gawu1: 5:22pm On Jul 23 |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Kamala Harris' Campaign Raised $81 Million In 24 Hours After Biden Dropped Out by gawu1: 5:14pm On Jul 23 |
nairaman66:I thought you would say "where party members and supporters raised campaign funds instead of relying on the candidate himself to provide funds for his campaign". This system in America in which candidates' campaign funds come from donations by party members and supporters helps to make the politicians accountable to the people. It has made elected people responsible to the people and placed sovereignty in the hands of the electorates. How I wish we could copy this. |

ericmor:The issue is that it was the Copa America final. So, what brought in France, Angola, and Nigeria? I know the Argentine are not happy with Nigeria because every time we have played them they escaped with narrow wins. They can't forget the US 94 and how we defeated them in the Atlanta Olympic Games football final two years later. At least, they should have waited until the day we meet again to bring such a banta. 1 Like |

tungamaje:We have a problem that demands a solution. Why not give time to see whether the creation of that ministry would solve the long-out confrontation between farmers and herders in the country? If para eventually spare parts becomes a problem, separating it from the Ministry of Commerce should be a good idea as a solution. |

igbosarejews:The south East don't want to farm pigs anymore? I thought livestock include all animals like dog, cattle, pigs, goats, etc that could be farmed. If they can think far, at least they should know that it's opportunity for them to up pig farming in their region since pigs like potopto areas which are readily available at the region. |

UnitedKingdom:If not misunderstanding that livestock is only about cattle rearing, is it an opportunity for the old men in red caps to up pig farming in their region? If they can take this opportunity, after 10 years time they will come back thanking Tinubu for creating the ministry. |
Politics / Re: Ohanaeze Rejects Tinubu's Ministry Of Livestock, says It's Reintroduction Of Ruga by gawu1: 10:19pm On Jul 15 |
If we can have ministry of commerce and industry, ministry of agriculture, etc, what is wrong for us to have ministry of livestock? Anyway, these Peter Obi people would always reject anything that has to do with north yet they want northerners to trust and vote their new messiah, Peter Obi to become president. They spread false propaganda to make sure that all Buhari's proposals to solve the herders' problem we are facing in the country failed, saying they were plans to islamized the country. This altruistic attempt by Tinubu again, should be rejected according to them. I am, if this was from that their Agulu born boy with feminist voice, they would have been everywhere hailing him for proposing solution to our "one bedeviling problem". |
