Essential requirements

• Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate drive routes and update maps.
• Responsible for collecting drive data at the cellular site level and per cluster.
• Analyze data with collection tools for coverage, dropped calls and pilot pollutions; make recommendations.
• Assist in implementing solutions and providing reports in a timely manner.
• Setup, calibrate and maintain testing equipment for various testing scenarios.
• Understand data collection expectations, deliverables, and time constraints.
• Create daily summary emails and reports for tracking purposes.
• Operate basic lab tools such as Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Frequency generators etc.
Qualification/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer science or Information Technology minimum of a Second Class upper degree.
• Verified posting or call up letter to Lagos.
• Fresh graduates with expectations to be posted to Lagos will be considered.
• Age limit of 25 years.

• Produce/review evaluation, detailed design reports.
• Attend site surveys to scope proposed equipment locations, cable routes, antenna placement, etc.
• Conduct RF Walk testing for site evaluations post-integration testing to ensure optimal site performance.

The telecommunication companies jostle for the attention of subscribers in Nigeria. However, one of the challenges confronting these companies is how to manage their network quality, which holds a great deal to customers satisfaction. Efficient connectivity is turning into the foundation for enterprise efficiency and productivity as the demand for constant communication grows.
The National independent Wireless Broadband Reporting(NIWBQR) conducted a new performance evaluation report in Lagos state. The service providers benchmarked include MTN, GLO AIRTEL SMILE, AND 9MOBILE.
Nigeria Government should be keen on this tool because it addresses a potential solution to what has become a myriad and increasing consumer grievance and source of incessant complaints on Mobile network providers in Nigeria.

KEY OBSERVATION
Glo used to provide impressive peak LTE downlink throughput, second only to MTN.
Glo appears to have now capped its downlink throughput to less than 10 Mbps (where a peak of 68 Mbps was previously achieved).
Mean downlink throughput is now less than 1 Mbps, a substantial reduction from the higher than 10 Mbps that was previously achieved.
Smile is the only other network that places an arbitrary cap on achievable downlink throughput.
MTN continues to provide satisfactory performance in all the indicators we consider key, in addition to not placing any cap on downlink throughput.
Airtel shows the worst accessibility value. Globacom’s accessibility value is very bad as well.

Shortlisted candidates will focus on using systems such as Labview, Matlab and other development platforms for design and development of wireless technologies. The primary interest must be in designing RF communications systems. Work experience is not important.

MSc with emphasis on Radio Frequency communication systems design is required.

Wireless Communications Engineer

Academic Requirement: MSc,BSc

Essential Requirements:

Demonstrable expertise in wireless communication network design

· Must be able to demonstrate the use of communications network design, simulation, prototyping and analysis tools.

· Must demonstrate knowledge of development platforms such as Matlab, Labview with the ability to create and simulate link budgets

· Must be comfortable with some coding language such as Python.

· Must have solid basic RF engineering knowledge

Tools:

Must demonstrate an ability to use basic lab tools such as Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Frequency generators, Vector Network Analyzer

Must be able to demonstrate skills in the use of network analysis tools such as;

Must be familiar with wireless communications standards

· 3GPP LTE and 5G standards.

· WiFi - up to IEEE 802.11AC

· LPWA, BLE, Zigbee, NFC

· Detailed knowledge of the source and channel coding for mobile wireless communications

· Ability to quickly identify appropriate 3GPP standards and decode the specifications.

We will talk to candidates with MSc that meet some but not all of the above requirements.

Technical Sales Position:
Candidates should have a basic training in marketing and solid knowledge of the telecom industry in Nigeria. The academic requirement
is BSc and MBA. We will talk to people with BSc and a flair for and experience in marketing.
