Nigerians aren't ready for genuine change. When they're ready they'll vote in the right people. Until then, they should keep enduring the hardship their poor choices has brought upon them.
I put it you: Who are the right people?

In eyes of the masses, no politician is a saint. I remember when I was small, whenever a governor is passing with his entourage, people lining on the road will chorus "ole, barawo"

Why is it that majority of those antagonizing the coastal road are mostly obi supporters from Ibo extraction?
I expect the northerners to be doing this, but they are not despite the fact that they may not have direct benefit from the coastal road
Politics / Re: 6 Strange Things About The Calabar-lagos Coastal Highway by Gboom: 1:12pm On May 06
2. The original coastal road as the people were told during the construction of the Lekki expressway/toll gates, was the Water Corporation road. Nigerians were told it was going to be an alternative route to the tolled road. Today, a large expanse of that road has been abandoned and is virtually an eyesore. But, we have chosen to ignore it and instead start a brand new “Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway”. Why?

If they followed that plan, Landmark and other edifices around that route would be totally demolished

After going through the thread sorrowfully, I think y'all will agree with me it's time Yoruba elders find a lasting solution to curb this incessant skull mining by Yoruba youths.
It is in Iboland too.
So many abandoned mansions in your village courtesy of ritual killing also.

Note this, any crime a Yoruba man is committing, 10 Ibo men are committing it

If you want to build house in any part of Lagos, please get all the necessary approval from the state agencies, if you don't know more about these documents, visit the ministry of lands and housing, they will guide on the necessary things to do.

I remember, one man bought a land in oniru. In 2021, Lagos State government task force came to demolish the shanties around the place telling him the place is meant for coastal road, the next day the acclaimed owner brought DSS there and they started chasing the people around there. Now, the man would have known the truth now

There is nowhere this "our people" don't cry marginalization even in the church of God. I remember in 2004, a group of boys wrote to the church management that they are marginalizing them, that it's only Yorubas and their Edo brothers they are appointing to positions. In that particular church that time, the major interactive groups were headed by them, and they were still crying marginalization
Religion / Re: Pastor Damina's Porn Addiction Remedy Enrages Conservative Christians by Gboom: 2:53pm On May 04
Abel Damina said you should continue to watch porn and be reading the bible and later you will lose interest in porn. I tell it will only work for those who are ready to discipline themselves and fully ready to focus on God by prayer and studying and reading the word of God.

Porn is a menace that is too addictive, and it is a glued sin that needs serious continuous deliverance prayers to be free from it
Politics / Re: How Voters Voted For Presidents By Region And State In Nigeria- Statisense by Gboom: 1:11pm On May 04
LegendHero:

Stop saying what you don’t know. When SE field a Ibo candidate that is in the top 3 choice, they will always vote that candidate.

In 1979, SE voted Azikiwe overwhelmingly. Can you beat your chest and say Azikiwe was better than Awolowo?

Even in 1983, same pattern replayed itself.

Ojukwu is a weakling in politics. He couldn’t even win a senatorial election let alone a national election. All through your years of voting PDP since 1999, you’ve never had any strong Ibo that break into the top three until Obi.

Below is 1979, now repeat the statement “SE don’t vote tribalism” again.

Tribalism in Nigeria is as old as Nigeria in politics.

Bulldozer90:
it's was the same with the north but political tensions leading to 2015 elections saw to massive divestment of Igbos from North and reinvestment in the East. For example in Abuja, Asaba, Awka, Enugu and Owerri. Ask around and study the pattern of real estate growth in the mentioned cities since 2015 you'll understand what I mean. Anambra GDP is now bigger than Kano and Katsina GDP put together. Northern economy has completely collapsed. Also notice Igbos became bolder to campaign for Biafra in 2015.
Lagos won't be different. Impending Igbo divestment from Lagos will be one cataclysm event that Nigeria won't survive. End your delusions already.
I observe that majority of those that always clamour for their ibo brethren to relocate their investment to the are nothing but noisemakers.
I remember some of you that will travel to your hometown to show off during Xmas that will begging us to send money to them to return to Lagos. You think it is easy to just relocate a business or setting up a new one without putting some business factors into consideration

In my own estimation and valuation, investment in that place is not up to 30 million dollars in today's prices

After 2023 General election, Lagos state was exposed.

Investing in Lagos real estate is now a very high risk investment that should be left to the Yorubas only.

There is a time for everything. A time to give birth and a time to die. The time to divest from Lagos has come.

The time to slow down on investing in real estate in Lagos for none Yorubas has come.

Lagos belong to Yorubas, it is high time to divest gradually and allow Yorubas take hold of their Lagos.

I have been sounding this warning.

The earlier people listen to this the better for them anyway
Do you know Yoruba/Igbo cord is like bunch of broom which cannot be easily broken. There are some Igbo families in Lagos who are the third generation of their ancestry, most of them have not travelled to their village and almost their investments are located in Lagos.
On this issue of landmark, he is not the only one that will be affect by demolition, there are other businesses around that axis that will suffer the same fate who are also Igbo and others tribes.

Oga shut up, you're bringing politics to it. You people find out that top 5 scorer of this year jamb are from the east, probably top 3 are from Anambra and that will be an added advantage to Peter Obi presidential quest hence you come up with this headless and meaningless excuse.

Yes , Mmesoma Bleep up, but the most important thing is, even when she was exposed, the legitimate top scorer of that year Jamb was still a girl from the east, Anambra precisely.

Before you come for me, I am not Igbo, this is an Akwa Ibom man typing here .

Government should learn to be proactive rather than reactive. A very large percent of our budgets go into paying of salaries of government officials. If they aren't nipping these dangers in the bud, perhaps they shouldn't be in service.
You see when you start building without appropriate approval, they will come for you. If you succeeded in bribing one LASG foot soldier from local government, another one will come from Alausa, then gbege go start.

Mind you, there are a lot of ministries that will visit your site with different motives
