On a contrary There is no big deal in watching BBN but d large audience should hv bn on a more productive platform & moreover we Nigerian believe in good moral.
Trust me..no audience can be that large if its not entertaining. Reality shows sell. Drama and entertainment sells. Producers know this.( Look at the kardashians). Hate it or not, suggestive perverted shows sell too. They just made d BBN show 'mild' because of the 'moral' and conservative nigerian audience.

Happy go lucky girl. If there is anything i love about her, it is that she easily detaches. No emotions. She's not clingy. Yes, she might not be someone who can respond to questions smartly and quickly..thats just her. She is not impulsive. If you put her in a class of 50 pple she just might always come 40th or 43rd. But she has a good heart. If you really watch the show you will know. No clique. She does tasks with passion and she just lives her life. She is apparently not exposed..maybe dats why she doesnt know falz and banky. But then i prefer her way over two-faced Uriel.

Apparently.. this is another hater.

The show is not compulsory. If you cant watch, change channel.

This show is simply business for the organizers. Its not like they gave the participants a script or something. The choice was strictly on the participants. besides, Nigerians are Hypocrites. tell me, This pple that complain about morals, dont they watch american TV shows like Orange is the new black, or Game of thrones, Or they didnt watch spartacus?

My question is why they keep allowing kenyans or foreigners to participate. In other countries they would never allow foreigners to do things like this. Does he keep flying in for the competition? Or does he have a valid permit to live here? I sincerely doubt it.

Health › Some Natural Home Products / Remedies That You Must Have At Home. by geekybabe(op): 8:58am On Feb 04, 2017
For one, I personally do not like taking drugs. Not that I dont, but I believe there are some very simple issues that i do not need to use drugs, and especially antibiotics for. Why? because drugs affect our body physiology, and organs at-times the effects are not pleasant.

Due to my experience with Ulcer that i shared here: ( https://www.nairaland.com/1423578/tips-curing-ulcers-living-healthy), I have come to realize that there are so many natural foods and remedies that abound in nature that can treat some basic health issues at home without drugs. And they work very well without your body having side effects that drugs give you.

1. Coconut oil: I think this tops it on my list. The usefulness of coconut oil are so many. It has antibacterial and anti-fungal effects,

-it is a very healthy alternative to cooking oils. if you are trying to loose weight, then by all means gradually adopt coconut oil in your diest.

- For Women who have issues with irritation in their feminine parts over time. Either its yeast infection, or Bacterial Vaginosis-BV (itching, and fishy smell with some discharge) , or some candidasis. Most times doctors prescribe antibiotics and creams, and patients use it and the infection does not go or often re-occurs. Simply apply some coconut oil to those parts and watch your bv or yeast infection disappear. The effects are almost instantaneous. relieves itching, burning, and restores your body part to normal. And you have your peace. smiley
- Its is used as a natural moisturizer. if you are treating your face or trying to get rid of pimples of blackheads or spots, Apply coconut oil after scrubbing or exfoliating your face. It works wonders.

- If you have a dry skin and you are struggling to find a solution, Add some coconut oil into your body cream permanently. Over time your skin starts to soften.

- It can be added to meals, smoothies and in salads. It boosts immunity, improves metabolism, and has anti-microbial effects. You can check for more uses online. (http://everydayroots.com/coconut-oil-uses). You can make coconut oil at home or you can just buy to save your self stress.

2. Baking Soda: This is another one that is very important. Most people confuse Baking Soda with Tartaric acid or Baking powder. Its different. Its also called Bicarbonate of Soda.
Baking Soda is normally used in baking alongside baking powder, but for home remedies, do not subtitute baking powder for baking soda. Also make sure you do not buy the stale ones or the ones tied up in nylons at the baking shops. Buy sealed ones and always check the expiry date.

-It is a natural spot and stain removal. Either you are trying to whiten your teeth, or you remove black spots on your face. Add baking soda to your DIY exfoliating scrub to remove black heads and dead skin. Apply some baking soda alongside your tooth paste, or just use it to brush. It whitens the teeth. Try not to swallow. Apply a baking soda paste to your ankles and under arms to remove the blackness
- It removes bad odour. Dust baking soda in your fridge, or your rug or carpet to remove foul smells. add baking soda in a glass of water and use to gaggle to remove mouth odour.
- Some other uses can be found here: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/51-fantastic-uses-for-baking-soda.html

3. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV): This one is so dear to my heart. I have been using it for over 5 years. it relieves heartburn and stomach disorders. Most people complain that it did not work for them. I'll explain why it may not work. Most ACV brands sold in Nigeria is the diluted one. Its has been overly processed and it may not be effective. Original Organic ACV should still have the 'mother' in it. It should have a pale orange or pale yellow colour, and a thick brown paste of the bottom container. Its used for weight loss too. Start your day with 2 tbps ACV diluted in a cup of water. ACV is also used to treat feminine Yeast infections. Its a natural disinfectant.
N.B Never Apply ACV directly without diluting. It still has some acidic nature. Always dilute.

You can make ACV yourself by using just apples and water. Though it usually requires some long fermentation process. There are a lot of youtube videos that show how you can. I prefer to just buy the organic ACV and just use it when I want.

Other products are garlic(natural antibiotic. treat infections)
- turmeric powder (yorubas call it 'ajo'), for treating infections. It also inhibits the growth of cancer cells
- lemon (natural bleach and odour removal. Can be added to cakes for flavour. Add to milk to substitue for buttermilk)
- ginger( for menstrual cramps and inflammation),
- Avocados and Cucumbers (smooth skin, aids digestion and keeps the body hydrated)
- Unsweetened yoghurt, (natural probiotic)
- Oatmeal (healthy substitute for Carbs. used for exfoliating of the skin too)

Overall, Make healthy choices and Eat more greens, and less Carbs. Also, NEVER use a drug/prescription without checking out the name and its effect online. It helps to prepare your mind ahead and also helps to avoid wrong doctors prescription.

I have personally used all of these products at some point in my life, and it worked, and I felt I should share. Hope someone finds it useful.

mrhm:
Please while treating your ulcers with the aforesaid home remedies, did you stop taking antibiotics and omeprazolehuh
Pls stick to your medications and try to complete it, abd give yourself time to heal. Dont overwork your body organs into processing different things. My remedies were used after i got tired of repeated medications and its effect on my body.

The most important thing is to follow your medication properly and also follow an healthy diet. Others have tried this natural remedy and they didnt have the same feedback that i did.

Take your medication, and most importantly make healthy choices. Thanks

Wallade:
Naija is a Nigerian brand; it is recognized as another word for Nigeria. So when you choose to use that Brand name along with any other name coined by you, especially to generate income, you have to pay royalty to Nigeria.

Technically, what MNET tried to do is to dodge royalty payment to Nigerian government and also divert all associated business to the Big Brother Naija programme to South Africa.

There may be cases against MNET provided there are laws or requirements of Broadcasting Standards that have been violated due to this business decision.
Which royalty or loyalty should they pay to you? The politicians and lawmakers are they paying you loyalty for not being able to provide basic amenities to run a reality show?? Abeg park well oga. This show is purely business for d producers.

After one month on the Job and you are looking confused.. and they get your ass fired. Who will lose?

Certainly not the employer. So you have all the choice to make!
And then i move on to something else. And the company has to start d process all over. Laying off and recruiting within 2 months. Reduced productivity..wasted effort. .bad image for company if they keep laying off staff intermittently.

Things that could have been avoided if an HR did a responsible job from scratch. Fact is those silly HR questions are mostly asked entry level pple. If its an experienced hire, like say a managing role, do they ask this unnecessary questions??

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Things Nigerian HR's Need To Stop Doing by geekybabe(f): 9:54am On Jan 27, 2017
Asking stupid irrelevant questions..like why do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Or making you feel like they are doing you a favor by granting an interview. Its irritating. If you didnt feel i was competent, you would not invite me.

The focus really should be..can you get the job done? Unfortunately its a difficult issue for Nigerian Hr. In other places, HR pple have specialties for certain jobs and know what to ask for. An Hr that hires for an accounting role would not have to hire for a Tech role. unfortunately just very few companies can afford that luxury.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Please Help Me Prepare For An Interview For A System's Engr Post. by geekybabe(f): 8:20am On Jan 25, 2017
Do you know the job description? Can you defend any questions asked about the job?

Its supposed to be a technical role. Expect something technical and not just focus on this bizarre HR questions.

My advice. IF you dont know much about the job practically, then do a solid research and read. There might be a practical technical interview but most Nigerian companies hardly do that. They are too busy focusing on 'where do you see yourself in the next 5 years'.

Package your research with good confidence and loosen up. Make up your mind to get the job. Be vocal, never show any signs of being timid or weak. Make a very good impression.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 3 Most Sort After ICT Job Portfolios In Nigeria (my Opinion) by geekybabe(f): 8:24am On Jan 23, 2017
I was expecting to see something more intelligent.

3 most sought after ICT Jobs, Really?? Social media expert?
Anyone can effectively combine this 3 'jobs' in one, and still be idle. Even if you wanted to go the digital marketing way, You would have said something smart like 'SEO specialist or SEO expert'. Besides, many coys will rather contract digital marketing to an agency so they can focus on what really matters..

For those who really wanna know what the Top ICT jobs in Nigeria are. Its simple. Search job portals. It will always be Software Developers. Either Web, Mobile, or basic UI/UX designers. The market demand is huge, And yet still the number of good devs are very few.

You really wanna stay around top jobs, then stay around App development. I am talking Business Analysts, Software Developers, Software Test Engineers/Testers, then System Admins With all of the linux and scripting. (Not desktop admin).

And really, not all these jobs requires you to code. Just a solid understanding of how code works and systems are designed.

You wont. Just tell them that you are picking a bus to durban. Luckily Intercity Express buses move from o.r tambo airporr directly to durban. You will b dropped at Durban bus station.

You dont have to stress by going into jburg to book a bus, especially if you have luggage. Check online for to have an idea of the price for d bus and the time it departs from the airport.

I am an IT professional (NQF cool, currently doing Masters in KZN, Should finish this semester. I have been attending interviews here and a couple of HR in coys have requested that I start processing my critical skills permit as it would ease my job applications.

I wanna start this process asap, but I have a couple of questions.
1. how easy it is to switch from study permit to work permit.
2. Do i need to be a registered member of a professional body (IITPSA) to process critical skills visa?
3. Can anyone give an estimate of how much I could be spending for the process?

I really cant tell you what will be enough or not. Plan your trip well. Factor in food, and transportation within town.
Average meals in restaurants range from 50 rands to 120. Like i earlier said, i really cant give exact figures. It depends on you.

Its not fun if you stay indoors all through btw. So much fun to have in Jo'burg. Never lived in pretoria so dont know much about the place.

Hello please, how much rands would be enough for a visitor for 2-3weeks max, would be staying in Jo'burg but would be visiting Pretoria maybe twice or thrice,,no shopping really or going to cinemas, strictly conference.

Seems hotels are cheaper in Jo'burg than in Pretoria.

Pretoria would have been better as the organization I am visiting is in Pretoria but I would be taking care of my expenses myself, soi am thinking of booking an hotel in Jo'burg, but would pay from Nigeria,so anyone with an idea, also considering the transport fare to pretoria for 2-3times.
I may not be able to give u a complete estimate. But

1. Hotels are cheaper in pretoria.
2. You dont have to use an hotel. Go to Airbnb.com. you shiuld get an apartment for d period u wanna stay at a reasonably fair price than an hotel. Compare prices for jburg and pretoria
3. Whatever you decide, there are trains from jburg to pretoria almost evry hour. Just get the train card at d park station(joburg or pretoria). Each trip is not up to 100 rands. Check gautrain fares online.
4. I cant give an estimate of food and all that..but just plan and prepare for your trip well.

I think i have tried.
