i've been there and i've done that
word of advice: run run run and scream hell no

When that heat hits your face once u step out of baggage claim
there are touts or tout-looking people evrywhere
people are staring at you like u're a different colour
and everyone other than those you step out of the plane with seem darker than usual
random people are cursing each other
something like:
madam, respect yourself oo ,
and madam goes: abeg go and sit down, do u know who i am?
am still trying to get through immigration and blurt out welcum to Nigeria
and fellow travellers double up in laughter?

From experience:
I'm Igbo and my then boyfriend was Ishan (Edo State)
he was so so so insecure about the fact that our tribal backgrounds are different
and seemed to think that I would rather be with and Igbo guy,
I had to constantly reassure him that I wasnt going out with him because
there was a shortage of igbo guys to choose from,
it got irritating, he wouldn't introduce me to his Igbo friends
because they might want to 'get to know me'
and acts funny when i get calls from Igbo guys,

just a quick question:
why would anyone want to go and live in china of all places?
don't they like have enough people there already?

this line that mothers use about carrying that child for 9 months and going through labour is getting monotonous to be honest
and quite frankly should be classed as manipulation and emotional blackmail
yes, i am a woman and i think the entire process of child birth from shag to push is a miracle
a wonderful thing even to bring a life into the earth that i cannot wait to have mine
now while both parents do their best to raise that child and give it a life they deem best
that child is an individual and not a posession, it (he/she) is not owned!!! by anyone , period.
