Nigeria as a nation has come a long way,to at least be able to provide basic amenities to its citizens. A lot of questions beg for answers, Unfortunately none have been answered.

Sometimes I wonder why we are not making progress as a nation. We go to polls every four years, to elect new president, senators, house of rep members, Governors, state house of assembly members, and every two years to elect our local Government chairman, and So many government parastatals, NGOs, human right activists and so many interest groups.one can unarguably say that we are well structured in "Government systeming"but the question still remain, WHY DO WE LAG BEHIND AS A NATION?

we are blessed with so many mineral resources crude oil, coal, glass sand, Gold, columbite, palm oil, groundnut, to mention but a few.if someone said we are not blessed as a nation, it is not an understatement, but his definition of blessing is from a dry planet like Jupiter.I think by now we should be asking ourselves, what is wrong? what went wrong? Or are we in the darkest part of the earth? Certainly something is wrong.

As a student l always try to know more about other countries of the world, I do check their system of government. Interesting to know, most developed world don't not practice the same system of government, just as ours and theirs are not the same.
you will be happy to know that most of them Have something in common "competition"

As a matter of fact there is no competition in Nigeria system of governmen and, Whose fault is that? "Our Constitution"biology thaught me, there must be a healthy competition for a community to grow.
Our governors are the most most laziest people in the system is not their fault but, of the constitution.

I think is high time our governors took responsibility of that bad road in their states (both federal and state owned roads) Abuja is too far for an okada rider to lay his complaints of bad road, Abuja is also far for a barber to lay his complaints of poor power supply.
I don't think is a bad idea, if our constitution empowered our governors to take full responsibility of protecting their citizens, we are sick and tired of sending our complaints to Abuja, over poor police presence in our communities.

Every state in this nation has so many mineral resources, it won't be a crime for our constitution to empower our governors to tap from those resources and, enrich their states financially, we can't continue to wait endlessly for Abuja to tap from these huge and unquantified resources deposited in our communities.

our constitution must wake up to introduce the honourable "competition"in the system and loosen the centre.
