General Employment Permit Application. Hello everyone. Please my enquiry is in relation to the general Employment Permit Application process. Please has anyone done it here and received the permit? Please share your experience and also the requirements. Please can you also specify if you applied by yourself and what the process was like? Did you apply before you began the job or whilst on the job? How long did it take to be issued? Thanks for your assistance. 1 Like |

ENQUIRY ABOUT VISAS/STAMPS FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS Hello guys, Please I have some enquiries. From what I have read, once a student finishes from a masters program (stamp 2 during masters), the student is eligible to secure 2 years visa extension after this to work, usually on a stamp 1G. My enquiry is as regards getting a stamp 1 once the student finishes a masters. I want to understand all the options, I read about the critical skills route and the general employment permit route. 1. Can a graduating masters student upon getting results/confirmation from the school that he/she has graduated apply directly to get a stamp 1? If yes, what entails? I ask this because I want to know if a graduating student can apply for a stamp 1 without having secured a job yet as most full time jobs would require at least a stamp 1G before granting employment. 2. What added qualifications/certifications can increase chances of being granted a stamp 1 upon graduating from a masters? Please can those who have taken the stamp 1 route please clarify and provide useful information to guide some of us who are about to graduate this month/next month so we know what to do immediately we receive our graduation confirmation from the school. 3. As regards health insurance, what is the best approach to getting the cheapest health insurance before the expiry of the health insurance given when we secured admission/1st year masters period? I heard that if one applies early it remains the same as what was paid in the first year. Please can those who have information about this also clarify. Thanks guys for providing some feedback. I hope this will also be useful for others who are about to graduate. All the best to everyone. |

Hello everyone. Please I have a few enquiries from those who have been in Ireland for a while based on their experience(s). I got to Ireland in November,2020. I have been able to settle in school, secure accommodation, get my bank account opened, get PPS and GNIB cards. I have 2 broad categories of enquiries. 1. Job search: Please I would like to ask how it is going for us and ways one can get a fast part time job. since I got here in November I am online every night applying all over the various sites, indeed, joogle, jobsie and the rest. but i have not been able to secure any job and the bills monthly are becoming very scary. Please what is the way? Does any one have any legit connect? Please help a brother. 2. Certified courses: I would like to know if anyone has information about certified bodies that one can get finance sector certifications to boost ones CV to work in the financial sector. My fear is registering on any SCAM site which is not accredited because I need to be sure I will be issued a genuine certification for the course I want to take. Looking forward to a reply. 1 Like |

Hello everyone. Please for those in Ireland can you share your experience getting your GNIB done. I have just been able to get an appointment online. I have seen the requirements. But my concern is the payment of the 300eur. I am yet to open a bank account so I do not have an Irish bank atm card yet. Can I use another person's atm? Is that adviceable? Can I use my First bank Visa debit dom account atm card? I have been able to use it to withdraw euro here in Ireland. Please share your experience and advice. |

Yemigal: Sorry that's a typo. Passenger locator form. You are to fill it online to show where u will be staying for the 14 days quarantine. When you get to dublin they have it also printed which you will fill and submit at immigration. In my case they didnt ask for any school documents but please get all your school documents handy. They can ask for anything. Also of you require a point of entry letter from your school to show you are required to be in dublin please get it. All the best. 1 Like |

Hello everyone. Thanks for info shared so far. I am now in ireland. I came with Emirates. I had do a covid test which was checked at Lagos airport. I took 2 bags each 23kg and I took food stuff. No one asked at all throughout the journey. They also asked if I had filled the locator form so I had to do it online and show them. It takes about 2 mins to fill, not complex at all. We stopped in dubai for about 3 hours then straight to dublin. On arrival in Dublin immigration, the lady asked for my passport indicator form only. They have a manual one I also fill. She didnt even ask for the one I did online. They didn't even ask me for anything concerning my school. That's my own story. Please I want to ask, I was able to use my first bank domicillary visa card here in the atm Dublin but the charges no he here o. What's the way around it because I loaded fx in my card to prevent me from travelling with more than 10k euro. How can I avoid these charges here? |

Yungstev007: My parcel has been in transit from Abuja since 19th. I am unable to reach UPS on their customer service lines. It's so frustrating. This is the message they sent me when I sent an email. .. Please be informed that your shipment got stocked in transit to its destination due to the civil demonstration. You will be updated once there is progress in your shipment. .. I did not see my name on the last list released by Abuja and none was released on monday this week. It's now 5 weeks plus since I submitted my appeal. . Please is anyone experiencing this too? We sincerely apologies for any inconvenience this might have caused. |
