Vivian Danazumi was born on 9 February 2024. She is a young Nigerian girl of Kuteb ethnic origin, from the Akenten clan.
Vivian is growing up with an appreciation of her cultural heritage and the traditions of the Kuteb people. As a member of the Akenten clan, she is part of a community with a rich cultural history and strong family values.
At a very young age, Vivian began her educational journey. In 2025, she started her first nursery school, marking the beginning of her formal education. Although she was still very young, this important step represented the start of her learning and personal development.

TSU Holds 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Combined Convocation Lecture
Taraba State University, Jalingo, has held its 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Combined Convocation Lecture as part of activities marking the institution’s historic combined convocation ceremony.
The lecture attracted distinguished personalities from the academic and public sectors, including the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako; Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Amb. Idris A. D. Waziri, CON; members of the Governing Council; Management; Senate members; Vice-Chancellors from various universities; Provosts; staff and students; as well as other invited guests.
The event was chaired by Prof. Maxwell M. Gidado, OON, SAN, Professor of Constitutional Law and Chairman/Pro-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed appreciation for their presence at the landmark academic gathering.
He particularly acknowledged the presence of the former Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe, and commended the continued contributions of academics and other stakeholders to the development of the institution.
Prof. Bako described Taraba State University as a fast-growing institution, noting that its expanding academic programmes, infrastructure, institutional development and accreditation achievements continue to attract students from within and outside Taraba State.
Convocation Lecture Focuses on Artificial Intelligence
The lecture focused on the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping the future of universities and society.
The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, was represented at the occasion.
The lecture examined the opportunities presented by emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, while highlighting the need for universities to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation in preparing graduates for the future.
The Convocation Lecture also provided a platform for scholars, university administrators, researchers and students from different institutions to engage in intellectual discourse on the future of higher education and technological advancement.
Among those present at the historic gathering was Genesis Sanda from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria, a graduate of Taraba State University who studied B.Sc. Economics and graduated in 2025. His presence at the convocation further reflected the participation of graduates and members of the university community in the landmark ceremony.
The gathering further highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia, government and technology institutions in promoting innovation and developing solutions to contemporary societal challenges.

Biography of Genesis Sanda
Genesis Sanda was born on 6 July 1997. He is the son of Sanda Danazumi, his father, and Mary Sanda, his mother. He is also the grandson of Danazumi Maigida.
Genesis Sanda began his educational journey in 2002 at Tamiya Primary School, where he completed his primary education in 2008. After completing primary school, he proceeded to Mbiya Combined School for his junior secondary education. He started there in 2009 and completed his junior secondary school education in 2011.
In 2012, Genesis continued his senior secondary education at GDSS Takum, Taraba State, where he studied until 2014. His desire for further education led him to Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai, where he studied Banking and Finance from 2017 to 2019.
Genesis Sanda later continued his academic career at Taraba State University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics. He began his university studies in 2023 and successfully completed them in 2025.
Throughout his educational journey, Genesis Sanda has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and personal development. His academic path—from primary education at Tamiya Primary School, through secondary school and Taraba State Polytechnic, to earning a B.Sc. in Economics from Taraba State University—reflects his determination to advance himself through education.

He then continued his Senior Secondary School education at GDSS Takum, LGA, Taraba State. After he graduated, the school was later turned into a combined school. This became another remarkable experience in his educational journey.
In 2018, Genesis Sanda gained admission into his first higher institution, Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai, where he studied Banking and Finance. He successfully completed his studies, but once again, another unexpected situation occurred. After his graduation, the institution was no longer functioning as it used to.
