So if you are an investor you goal is the long-term ROI and instric value of the asset you are buying so the dips and side ways movements doesn't bother you as you are focused on the bigger picture and so must have long patience.

But if you are a trader then yes the now is also your concern meaning you can make money now and should make money almost instantly but that will warrant you to have a deeper level of understanding of technical analysis, market structure, technical indicators and price actions, etc

So pick one that best suits your personality type investing and trading is more of a personality type thing once you know your self then you can easily stick with one.

What you have here is what is on my jotter also gotten from research and experience since my trading in 2017.

To add to what you said for those interested to learn, Bitcoin has 1 year of bearish trend and 3 years of bullish trend. Buy at the end of the bearish trend which is the beginning of the bullish trend, then sell at the peak of the bullish trend. To keep it simple 2023 January was the end of the bearish trend for 2022 and the beginning of the bullish trend what I call prebullish rull. So a good trader that knows the fundamentals will buy then.

Then sell at the peak of the bullish trend which comes estimately a year after the halving in our case last quarter of 2025, personally I took 1 Oct 2025 as when I will exit my holdings for profit.

This cycle and fundamentals continues.

For those that enjoy day trading this is a simple and effective ways, I have two strategies one is long term investments which is what I did above and a shorter term investments/trading to pay daily bills.

In the bullish run avoid shorting doesnt mean you won't gain if you short but you are better off and safer to avoid shorting yes during a short period after halving is good time to short but you need to know when to stop that's why I cry you all should study fundamentals.

Use a simple daily price closing cross over against the 30 day moving average, when the daily close price is above the 30 day moving average you bull and when it is below you sell. There are times when you will loose but trust me on the long run you will be profitable

During the bear market you short using daily price below 30 day moving average.

Your first paragraph Is correct and understood, the rest I didn't get the context and what your final conclusion on the overall market sentiment except for that when one finally realize a skill and mastery of it then everything surrounding that skill becomes relatively easy.

While we can't say use the past to predict the future but we can use it as a guide especially when we find patterns. Patterns are found in nature, astrology, science and even human behaviors. Using previous patterns BTC will do it's next ATH by next year most likely between September to November. While we can't get the exact month or percentage increase we are sure this will push ALTs to x20,X80, X200 depending on when you bought, etc. So store you bags and be patient. Personally I feel BTC can do a X2 or X3 but not really much from its previous ATH.

Now for those saying Cryptocurrency is speculation, tell me which business isn't speculation, you buy or get into it because you believe that this will solve people's problem in the near future and create value. Yes it is true, Draft2digital has now banned Nigerians, because i was selling there, I started out this year, I made a few sales. When it was time to pay me, they said i didn't have a payment option set, which i now set up paypal as my payment option. Also did the tax review and submitted my driver's license. Yet the next payout i wasn't still paid. I had to contact support. It was then they mailed me back saying my identity couldn't be verified, WTF! , for all this while i submitted they didn't let me know, they keep selling my book and not paying me eating my money? I said to myself. Their reasons which obviously none suited me were these:
1.Either your account has been terminated before
OR
2. You are using a software identity hider
Or
3. You are from a region we couldn't verify your documents
Now 3 was the only thing that maybe could be the reason, no it is not stated that Nigeria is banned but from this it is indirectly telling you that.
My annoyance was that, i wasn't informed until i mail, they kept selling my book and not paying me. I had to delist my book to stop them. Also the email said since they can't verify me then they will delete my account, which now the account is inactive.
