Xiaomi midrange don't get 3 years update. Only one major Android update or 2 MIUI update.

I use RN5. It came with MIUI 9 and now I am on MIUI 12 do the maths.

Like I said Some Midranges from Xiaomi gets 2 android eg Mi Max 3, Mi 8 lite, Mi 9T updates but not the Notes but that seems to be changing with the RN8/Pro.

I got my current phone from here in 2018 and I paid for the phone and logistics and it got to me in record time from Lagos to ABJ and I have done a lot of deals here pay before delivery and no complaints here.

The xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series might end up being a re-skinned xiaomi mi 10i.

More like Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Mi 10i in the Camera department. I seriously doubt they will use the same SOC.

Can't Xiaomi embrace this, if we're not paying for software they can still offer something reasonable.

Most phones apart from budget get 3 years support. I am fine with that. And RN8 and Pro will be the first Note devices globally (Removing the Indian RN5) to get two android upgrades that is laudable.

Samsung is still a bigger company with a larger staff strength so allow Xiaomi to grow at their pace. They are doing exceedingly well for a 10 year old company

You cannot get it for that price in Nigeria. Besides Xiaomi Nigeria didn't launch the 3GB Ram variant in Nigeria

You should know that currently 2GB RAM is small in the current dispensation and MIUI is aggressive in killing processes to improve battery life and as well reduce operational lags.


You can lock few apps to the memory

They get same life support but one receives update faster. China RN8 got stable Android 10 almost 5 months before the Global.

Incremental update is smaller most times and is what you see as an update most times via OTA except for major updates.

Full recovery ROM is your full ROM normally larger but most times safer.
