leTrizzle:
Redmi note 8T, got it in January though.

Redmi Note 8T was made specifically for the European Market so it must be affected.

williams2600:
Boss if u see watin guys dey take my eyes see cause i never get samsung or huawei Ys (the one with the pop up camera) u go fink say i kill person.

Huawei Y9 Prime? Those guys are jokers.

I am sure none of them have even used a Flagship from any of those two OEMs.

Not even S10+ or P30 Pro, common.

Juicey10:
see the one I downloaded

The one for Redmi Note 8 Pro

olayinkajnr:
Lmao.

First, the person that told you never used Xiaomi before. That person is a concentrated Samsung fan boy and I can easily guess who.

1. Xiaomi have camera. Camera better than what any midrange samsung can offer. Gcam is meant to complement it. If you want to explore more about the camera, gcam will come in handy.

2. Due to EU law, newly launched phones within the EU (including African markets) don't come with call recorder on stock dialers anymore. This affects all brands including the almighty Samsung. Although, Google is looking for a way to implement it on their Google dialer. Xiaomi on the other hand promised to return it. Xiaomi devices launched in 2019 have call recorders on their dialers.

3. An average Xiaomi phone have better resale value than Samsung. Especially when it comes to midrange Xiaomi device.

4. My Xiaomi device gives me prestige. I don't allow the fact that I don't use Samsung or iPhone make me feel lowly. Feeling lowly because of that is on you o.

What else do you wanna know?

The boss himself. You have said it all. Ooin

seunfly:
Thanks for d reply, are they in similar price range?

The K20 Pro Premium edition should be in the same price range but as for the K30 Pro we would know when it is launched later this month or early April

seunfly:

The upcoming Redmi K30 Pro or Redmi K20 Pro Premium edition

Teresh:
Which is the better phone among this 3 pls...

Redmi note 8 pro, xiaomi 9 lite, and Samsung M30S?

@genius43

Why not go for Mi 9T

KAM3KAZI:
Okay but the space taken was very large also the 19.8 gigabytes of storage is also has system files on it

System files is different from your OS/UI, don't mix them up

KAM3KAZI:
I bought my RN8 3/32gig on in February but when I plug it into my laptop it shows me 19.8 gigs of storage, can anyone explain why this is so

Your system uses part of your memory and those parts aren't accessible, it has been that way from time immemorial

gidieberry:
DSP is Digital Signal Processing; it is not related to AI capability at all. It revolves around photography

Very correct. That is why some SoCs handle some sensors better than others

atheistandproud:
Where's Tai.ocol and Festwiz sef?

The latter dey, he needs a change of device though.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Redmi Note 9 Pro
Check out the comparison : https://techfashy.com/redmi-note-8-pro-vs-redmi-note-9-pro/
Is there any reason to upgrade ?

You still have a long learning process before you can make valid comparisons.

Apart from what others have pointed out here is another scenario from your post

"Software
The Redmi Note 9 Pro runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10 while the Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9."

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is currently on MIUI 11 and it is going to have Android 10 (Some regions are already getting it in form of pilot testing).

If you had said the RN9 Pro is more likely to get Android 11 whilst the RN8 Pro might not then you score a point. But software comparison is deeper than just MIUI Version and Android Version, other things like optimization, fluidity etc are there and can't be judged without handling both phones.

Angeboten:
just bought a new rn8 and the battery is draining fast help plss

Disable WiFi and Bluetooth scanning search for them from settings, change the SIM you are not using to browse to 2G.

Also bad network contribute to battery life

Gptech:

Las las, na lei Jun go personally come withdraw that RN4X from your hand

suregalluv:

mhaki:
I'll like to hear personal opinions on Redmi 7 vs Redmi Note 7.

One is a junior brother and the second one is a senior brother. I hope that clears things up

Ziyech:
Redmi didn't reveal the camera sensor types for the 9 pro max.. I'm guessing it is that Samsung GW1, I'm sure its not Sony imx 686

It is unknown and even Kimovil haven't added the sensor type on the specs list, they should update it when it goes on sale

I play loads of games, store loads of files, use several apps, use my fone as TV when not at home like champions league using DSTV now or Mobdro, download heavy excel files for work to mention a few

What do you need most in a phone?

Redmi Note 8 Pro or Mi 9T

muyibabs:
Pls what is the difference between punch-hole and cut-out cameras? I used to think that they are referring to the same thing.

Like I said earlier cut-out is an iteration of the punch-hole. While punch-holes are placed at the corners, cut-outs are made at the center of the display

Olonisakinibile:
Good evening.

Experts in the house, please help me with this decision Making as regards phone, which should i go for in terms of cost effectiveness, efficiency and Value for money-

Note 7 pro, Note 8, Note 8 pro or Note 8T at least 4/64gb or 6/64gb

What do you need most in a phone?

gsparks01:
every time a new phone is released, they increase display size. Redmi Note 12 is on course to be 7". Wetin sef! At least give us a 6" phone. Satisfy all markets.

Mi A3 says Hi

BoluwajiPieters:
Any advanced settings to apply on this version of GCAM? Cos it seems my former version shoots better pictures than this one.

Then switch to your former version

Bahddo:
hmmm... folks at redmi must have a hard time choosing what upgrade to add to the next Redmi Note series without letting the price spike.

It is not easy to be honest.

Damritoh:
'You're talking in the rubbish, you're talking in the nonsense, you're talking in the thing that dinnur have a good experience'

RN9 pro is surely an upgrade...Bigger battery, Corning gorilla glass 5 for the camera lens, catchy design,Side fingerprint (I personally love that),Better proccessor et al

I don't think RN9 pro comes with 5G and even if it does, how does being unable to use it inconvenient somebody?

Abi o, when i got S4 in 2019 the Exynos model, a friend got the SD(USA) model which had 4G, the phone was not useless and wasn't a waste when 4G finally came to Nigeria.

Some statements are baffling.

E.g there is no difference between SD 720G and SD 665. No be by force to talk.

dasanchez1:
sent you a pm

Replied

Bahddo:
wide-angle camera in video mode, at any resolution. I missed out that bit in my post. Redmi note 8 pro has it on its main camera (only). It's also better with pics than videos.

The macro lens now supports video and auto-focus
