What you changed it to simply means 4G or 3G. Meaning it will alternate between both. Atleast you would be able to receive calls and sms

It was initially Chinese version which was converted to global version. My sim is 4G and in a 4G environment

I remember stating it on this forum that the Chinese version of Redmi Note 8 don't support any MTN 4G band but some where arguing.

The EU ROM for Note 8 is superb. If you are having the Device not certified problem with Google Play, I suggest you flash the EU ROM, it's Mi 11, bug free and fluid.

The global Version is certified, I thought someone posted his screenshot for confirmation. Some information are sensitive and can be misleading. Even sometimes their own pixel devices show not certified.

Hmmm most real people who are not on Nairaland may not agree with this "fact". And btw someone here did post a video of the n8pro overheating on mild usage.

Posted a video of a review when the phone newly came out which Xiaomi released an update to fix. I have watched several videos after then and the temperature has not been bogus as at earlier.

There are users of that phone here and you don't see them trooping to this place every time to complain of overheating, if you are smart shouldn't that tell you something?
