but someone is asking for a good phone of which non is available. So I suggested.
He knows they are not available in the Nigeria market that was why he asked here. Someone who used a Pocophone when Xiaomi was not officially in the Nigerian market wouldn't know where to look when he needs something?

I wanted to make a long and controversial post here on various points i raised in that comment. But its too early on a Monday morning for that. Nevertheless my last point i made in that comment

Were i said its not advisable to complain on their thread

Then this

Then this

Theres more but....

I have never said anything apart from the popular views shared on this thread by users of the RN7

To all those who i quoted i am sorry. I was called upon to substantiate my claims. I hope this issue ends here.

God bless us all
Very laughable. So few complains is what you call popular opinion.

English, how have thee suffered.

Will never update my while other people are receiving 10.3.10 version still in
You are not using Redmi Note 7 are you?

I have stressed it severally that you should not worry about version number as long as you get upto date android security and features present in other phone's ROMs as long as it is compatible with your device.

My elder brother has never been a phone person, he always felt that buying an expensive phone does not make sense (after all you go still make an receive calls on any phone) but after seeing and handling my RN7. Without telling me we went and bought the mi a3 4/128 for about 78k. He visited me and was showing off the on-screen fingerprint scanner, I just cut his excitement short by showing him the price of the screen on aliexpress (42-47k). Knowing that he doesn't like using his phone with a case and having broken and changed the screen of the last 4 phones he had used he became disturbed luckily for us he was given the 4/64 varient which we took advantage of cos they would not have considered changing it, Since they didn't have the 4/128 varient I advised him to go for the RN7 4/128. Help me Welcome the 3rd member of my family to the xiaomi family.
But a tempered glass would have added a layer of security to the phone. Well since he is the unlucky type not a totally bad move.

Guy it's very clear someone very close to you is making use of ur data while sleeping since data and hotspot can be switched on without unlocking ur device. Change ur hotspot password and also unlock password cos if the person can unlock ur phone, he or she can equally go to Settings and see ur new hotspot password. Do this and observe the outcome
Also disable show on lock screen from settings>Notification and status bar.

That way if your phone is locked no one can access your quick settings

The person who commented after you Sir. Had more valid counter points which i decided to address as a whole.

We are all fanboys, if i decide to switch to Xiaomi gang i will automatically become a like you guys. That is a hardcore fanboy of the Xiaomi brand.

I have never insulted nor put up hate speech against anyone. I have always been against using insults. Because i believe we can all be of help to each other. And i am not one known for creating different monikers. Till i decide to leave Nairaland this will be my moniker.

I was able to place myself in the guys shoes. Because this is something i can do. And stop others from raining insults on the guy. It has happened a solution is to be given and nothing more.
1. Before you commented solutions had been proferred.

2. Only one person insulted and he was chastised.

3. You didn't profer or suggested anything but attacked the device with so much hate but fail to realise that the user was solely responsible for what happened.

You said you have never had over 1Gb of update and it have not exceeded 30mins. My Redmi Note 5 did a 1.6Gb update to MIUI 10 and Android 9 under 20mins in both cases.

Before defending the user he never stated how many minutes the update process was when he decided to take the high road.

4. I don't care about your moniker, never even checked it out so leave that out of it. Alot of us uses a single account. Have had mine for over 8years no biggy.

5. Learn to be objective and not subjective. It have been proven time after time from your posts on this thread and it have been pointed out severally. Everyone can't be wrong and you the only right person.

Bye.

As in, he made it seems as though Xiaomi no be phone. Like other manufacturers don't push updates and don't give same warnings while updating.

The guy is very good at nit-picking comments here.

We call am Samsung fan boy, he no wan gree.
I was expecting him to respond to me. I don't have a problem about him been a fanboy but not been able to know when to display the fanboyism

Its not good to create such a toxic environment.

His phone, his money and his business

I keep telling peeps that if you are not A Very Good Gadget freak then RN7 is not for you. I absolutely love the Design and The intricasies of the RN7.

But to those who have dont have the mind to patiently develop their device. Then RN7 is not for them.

It is important to note that at one time or the other MOST PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN TEMPTED TO HAVE END THE UPDATE. Because coming from phones like Iphone , Samsung even Tecno and Infinix. These phones require no update before you can use them. You can as well do without updating them( transission).
An update of close to 2gig taking close to an hour will surely get an Old Person Scared and a Young Person who has no knowledge of Gadgets petrified.

Btw im seriously eying this Miband4 and Airdots lol
This typical New age bullshiiit crap.

My dad currently use Redmi Note 7 with Chinese ROM. He figured out how to install GAPPs by himself by a simple Google search. Even when his playstore misbehaves he sort it out himself. He has updated his phone severally without issues So using a Redmi Note 7 or any Xiaomi device is not Rocket science.

Even you wouldn't dare restart your phone while your phone is doing a firmware upgrade. So how you shifted the blame to Xiaomi is what baffles me.

No one will or is forcing you to use any xiaomi device be it Phone, or accessories.

Be guided when making statements

Go to additional settings and see if they added a toggle in their last update like they did on the R7

Why did you restart it while still installing...
I wonder o. The update should be as large as 1.7Gb and when you are using a phone for the first time it requires alot of patience. People just start panicking for no reasons. Am sure he got to a percentage and it stopped moving and he taught something was wrong not knowing it is still going and the next movement of the progress bar might be to 97-99%.
