But it's a lie. Why should I go to Raya to confirm?

I'm not disputing the fact that her phone got issues. But saying there are about 30 people on queue with Redmi Note 7 having same issue is a big fat lie.
She is the person involved sire.

No body boss, i am a gadget freak and I can tell u all d phones i have used.so i know what i am saying, which phone is more fragile like samsung s8+ and i ve been using it over a year now. B4 Redmi came to Nigeria i don over hype dem, check facebook and see my praises. Pple dat got the RN7 from ali express might not experience dis but d ones sold here in Nigeria hmmm make i no talk. How can u help me?
Let's Leave the AliExpress and Nigeria comparisons out of these when it involves hardware. I have personally helped people order/buy these phones(Redmi 7 and Note 7) from Jumia and no issues for over 2 months now.

When it comes to hardware malfunction it happens, some people have gotten faulty products from AliExpress self.

The way the guy said "suddenly" as if the phone has a mind of it's own.
You know sometimes people try things but when it changes something they don't remember they tinkered with something. That's how my younger brother bricked his 3 months Tecno F6 in 2015, that even Calcare didn't have solution to up till this very moment.

I did not install any thing on that phone, the phone is less dan a phone sef, i mainly use facebook and whatsapp on it. I was still petting it, you know what it means to get a new phone and still treating it like a baby and in a twinkle of an eye the phone started messing up and all they could do is to block me .hmmm
Did anyone handle the phone apart from you?

Good day all. Please I just observed that my Redmi 7 contrast suddenly changed to something like edited photo/background.

Even my wallpaper color changed same applies to the theme.

Please is there anything I can do to revert back? Just bought it 2 days ago and I don't know much about it.

Abeg help me
Go to settings>Display, check contrast and colour. Screenshot and post. Set it to standard and automatic contrast. Also check if you enabled Reading mode.

I am not paid for anything, Nigerians should always learn to fight for each other, and not let other fall into same trap, i have my receipt and the video of how the phone was doing. Check through facebook b4 they came to Nigeria i have been the one promoting them. I got the phone with my hard earned money 75500 naira, and i got it at Raya Ikeja, the phone is less than a month and it started misbehaving i contacted them on facebook and i was told to take it back to Raya that i will get it fixed, after 2 weeks i did not hear from them i went back and the lady showed me list of others that have dropped theirs before me with same issue and yet to be fixed i was so angry and i contacted them again, a sale rep called me that the parts are not in Nigeria yet. I told him my phone screen is not broken and the phone is less than a month, so my warranty should not make me go through all this stress. He said there is nothing they can do i should hold on till they bring the parts to Nigeria. Aftering spending 75500 less than a month and that is all they can tell me, i was blocked from their page not to make further comments and no solution is provided. I will post my screenshot of our conversation here and if i can post the voice recorded with the sales rep i will also do that. If you got your phone from ali express you might not experience this but all the ones sold here in Nigeria are pure scarp
A lot of people using Redmi Note 7 on this thread got it from Nigeria here and not AliExpress as you claimed.

Also remember that there is no OEM with no production flaw, some units are that way wether you buy from AliExpress or your next door neighbour.

Now back to your issue, did you update your phone or did it come in contact with any liquid before the flickering began.

As a new product in the market am not even sure most those people at Raya have the experience or technical know-how some people have here when it comes to Xiaomi devices.

Note: But with the exception of hard drive, Keyboard and USB together will not fry the phone instantly oh. Abi?
No it won't, but I won't make it a habit, cos it will affect your battery in a not too distant time

My questions don dey plenty nowadays oh

I'm having this argument with an electronics retailer that it is possible to hook up a small USB hub to a phone and connect stuff like Flash drives, keyboards, mouse and even printer USB cables as if the phone were a laptop (PS: it's just a theory sha)

He is of the opinion that it'll fry the phone's mother board or at the very least destroy the phone's battery.

So I want to go and prove him wrong today. Is it possible to use a portable (non-powered) USB hub on an android device?

I think the power draw will be too much on the phone. Try plugging a hard drive trough OTG to your device use it for 15mins even if it is just to transfer stuff and see how many percent of battery you will lose and hot it will be. Then imagine plugging an external mouse (0.5 - 2.5W), Keyboard 2.5W above and a hard drive at a maximum of 7.5W.

Your phone can't take it. So the Electronics retailer was right.

So no hope for Glo 4G on RN7?
Like I said Glo are deploying a new LTE band 3 albiet slow deployment. If you are in areas where it is present then Glo 4G is a go. Otherwise buy a universal MIFI, that way you even get more battery backup from your device

But are there truly 30 people with RN7 with the same issue as hers on queue?
That part is a lie, to draw attention. 30 is no small number. If she was as angry as she claimed when did she have time to count and interact with all those (30) she met there. And if at all they had display problems did she do a survey to verify if the cause of the problem is same as hers?

Glo 4G is on 28(700MHz) which pro doesn't have
Don't decieve yourself, it is not present in the Global Version, except you are in areas where Glo have deployed their band 3(1800MHz)

I'm not sure if this can be attributed to dark mode. Power consumption is quite low. Phone on standby all through the night and when I picked it up this morning it was still 92%.
I'm using RN5 ai by the way. Anyone else noticed this?
Dark mode don't matter in standby mode

Was your data on?

She's not lying. She actually has a RN7 but she's not saying the truth about all those pages blocking her. She said her phone has been at Raya for a while and nobody is taking her case seriously. she's just impatient and I'm trying to see if I can help her get a replacement phone
Do see how you can help her, but trying to bring down a brand as a way of getting attention makes no sense.
