You think Phyna's story is that terrible? Then what will you say about the life experiences of Hermes and Chi-Chi? Hermes and his dad got thrown out of an uncompleted building where they were squatting by vigilantes, that was how his childhood pictures got lost. Of course we all know about his mom.

Chi-Chi must have been faced with poverty, lack of parental guidance and traumatizing sexual and physical abuse from such a young age.

Adekunle has admitted to seeing her wake up from bed suddenly with a wild defensive look, like she's watching out for someone trying to take advantage of her in her sleep. The day she'll actually talk to a therapist it might be a very intense and draining episode.

Life has dealt a hard punch to these 2 people, but they packaged themselves to the best of their abilities and added to the Island vibe of the Level 1 house.

Phyna has it much better, she still has parents that are alive and well, she's even a graduate. She simply just likes to make the sometimes wrong choices and lacks a sense of when and where to do certain things, worsened by her man problems. Why does she battle a compulsive urge to yell out "Who dey?" all the time? Why can't she understand that Groovy isn't her husband and as such other girls can still try their luck with him?


I just feel for her because she admitted that Groovy is the first guy to ever put a duvet on her while sleeping as well as serve her food in breakfast, she is used to being treated harshly by men, she even expects it, so even if it's for a day, she's addicted to the boy. To make things worse, she's actually the most fragile female in that house, to cry no dey hard am. If she wins the money it's all good, she'll definitely be a solid multimillionaire by this time next year win or lose, but she needs to rebrand herself and convince herself that she deserves more. Her fans would do well to help her in this.

Once again, being attractive goes beyond being physically attractive. I do not find Groovy interesting at all- he does not have stimulating conversations, he doesn't seem very intellectually sound either. Everytime I listen to him, I am filled with boredom.

Thinking that someone being physically attractive is all they have to be, is the reason why many physically attractive people don't feel the need to be anything else. It is also why people say, "I can't believe they cheated on this fine boy/girl"

Maybe you WANT to find something wrong with him so you can simply say to yourself - "So he's human and imperfect afterall!"(which we all are anyway) . Or are you doing that reverse psychology thing people do when they see someone they feel slightly incapable of attracting?

Oddly enough, Groovy's female fans mostly wanted him to juggle as many girls as possible. 1, I will like BBN to use their platform to support previous housemates in the little way they can.

A lot of former housemates are into small businesses that BBN can use their platform to support.

Someone like Lucy for example is into confectioneries, nothing stops Biggie from getting a branded small chops from her and give the housemates, this will go a long way in supporting her and giving her business visibility.

Assertion No.2 :- The show still going ahead led to generally poor viewership levels, even showing in the rationing by Biggie (due to fluctuating prices of daily needs) and frequent fighting for food among the housemates (Whitemoney's set fought more over WHO was supposed to cook the food).


Your counter-assertion :- People still attended Obi rallies en masse so BBNaija wasn't a distraction (i didn't argue this,i stated that politics instead distracted from BBNaija viewership) .

I am simply saying that the show was a bad idea because of the current situation in the country, even the escapist value of the show has been dimmed by several issues including embarrassing rationing by Biggie leading to fights among the housemates. Some of the housemates have been obviously itching to talk about politics if not for house rules.

That our minds should be there because BBNaija is a temporary escape, even within the show the effects were felt. Look at how Biggie steadily looks for excuses to limit Pocket Naira uses and validity as well limit wager wins. This set fought the most over food, even the sponsors aren't splurging as much as they used to in past seasons. People are tired, for the first time in BBNaija history Instagram followership has been below 200k for many of the housemates despite their being much more entertaining than SYE. Even endorsements are frankly trickling in , money cakes and maybe shippers' gifts for the first time in BBNaija history being more frequent than signed deals!
