Making Nigeria work is the responsibility of all of us, be you a prospective or NDDC scholar. The system is what it is today and would continue to get worst because, we are cloth with egocentric and selfish interest as against altruistic and patriotic interest, and this has led to our lack of understanding of what is our right or privilege (no distinction is attempted here). We all have a role to play if we must have a better Nigeria, a better NDDC were things work accordingly, to do this, we must forget our personal interest and sue for altruistic interest.
I may not have read the content of the letter in contest, I see nothing wrong in writing a letter of protest of any kind. In better societies the citizenry are the voice of change, thier actions make the system work. NDDC is not working. It is high time we stand up against every inimical, corrupt and ill way truncating our democracy. The NDDC Scholarship is the right/privilege of every deserving Niger Delta Graduate. We are made to write test because the resources of NDDC cannot serve every qualified Niger Deltan. We must learn to speak and fight for our right and privileges as citizens.

It is high time we stopped being myopic, irrational and non-logical when we address issues of national interest and importance, in the first instance, NDDC is a federal parastal set up to develop the Niger Delta region, which have been long neglected and left to gradually deteriorate to an unprecedented deplorable state, has failed to meet it's mandate, living the people of the region in abject poverty and deprived of their rights both politically and economically. It appears NDDC is an institution created to make the rich and political class richer. Speaking of the Postgraduate Scholarship, it is supposed to take care of the training of Niger Deltans who cannot afford studying abroad and not those who have the resources to do so, but contrary to this, a great chunk of the beneficiaries are of the political and wealthy class.
For those who think NDDC is not supposed to pay for upkeep or didn't advertised upkeep, my question is 'did NDDC advertised that she will only take of tuition fees and not Upkeep? For crying aloud, it's mandate is to build human capacity in the region and in achieving this, NDDC must be prepared to foot the bill like PTDF does. There's enough money for that. How can students learn and come up with innovative ideas and solutions to problems when they are hungry and psychological distabilized or even acquire the intended technical know-how ? We need to stop glorying our leaders and tell them the truth that they have failed us, NDDC have failed the people, she has succeeded in enriching few, living the larger populace in great pain and abject poverty. Our leaders including the president are egocentric and too self centered to make things right. We take our feature into our hands, let us as youth use every democratic weapon at our disposal to fight and exposed them !

Is it true that only those who uploaded their admission letter during the application process are shortlisted ? Godson said so! It is there one who is shortlisted without admission letter ?
