Hello house, please i need your assistance. I was directed here by a fellow.
I am a graduate from a University in South West and currently working as a graduate assistance for close to 4yrs now. I finished with 2:2 in the same school and dept and through the help of my aunt who works with the senate, i got the Job. I went for a post graduate diploma and i was to start my masters degree only for my dept to refuse me admission based on the excuse that my diploma is not recognized.you will marvel if i mention the school i got the diploma from. I was so perplexed and told my aunt who also confirm that its a norm of the dept not to accept any diploma holder from outside. I thought she was trying to cover up until recently that i discover that as a staff and with my grade, i can't do any diploma outside and come for masters and still retain my Job same way all the lecturers in the dept are product of the same dept and even almost all the lecturers in the faculty and the exception are those who has their masters and phd from UK and US.

The moment i knew this, the urge to further my education came and i need your assistance.

I had 2.51, i need a diploma course in earth sciences or any related course in Canada.
I work as a graduate assistance and earn up to 800k p.a., im married with kid, got some lands and shares, i am 34yrs.
Please what are my chances.

Thank you as you respond and God bless us all.
You have 100% chance if you can get all the necessary documents, first Google universities and colleges offering your desired course in Canada, apply and get your admission, you can even try to apply with the diploma, there's still possibility of securing admission with it in Canada, once you get the admission, you can then apply for your TRV, sure, if you can get study leave from your institution and a convincing statement of account and good SOP convincing the VO, you are just going to broaden your knowledge and come back to continue with lecturing job, my guy sincerely if you package everything well, it takes only your village juju to stop you if at all such exist, i'll advice you to go to part 4 and 5, at least go through all, I assure you, you'll be feeling like CEO of a travelling agent... all the best.

Yeah that is somehow related to my course, civil engineering but can I proceed to do my masters in CIVIL ENGINEERING with this pgd in construction project management? That is my biggest worry now
Guy, try Humber College, they have PGD in Civil Engineering Technology, with a degree on that, you can proceed to do your masters directly, i.e, MSC Civil Engineering... just hope this helps.

Good day, I thank all the people that are making this forum a successful one, my special thanks goes to Mr. Siga, You are truly a brother to all in this house... I have something bothering me, I passed out from service on 5th of June, but have not been able to secure a job, I intend applying for TRV and am the one sponsoring myself, meaning bulk of the money is in my account about 4million, I only have unregistered salon, is not registered with CAC, but intend telling my friend that's a lawyer to help me prepare a deed of agreement of a land probably in the region of 1.5million... I just want to know how to state about sponsoring myself and also know how the VO can verify the landed property which will serve as my home tie...

my people its like am happy for peoples success on here may we see more testimonies amen... my question on the online application site how can i upload all my supporting document when its online one upload section tagged for each document please explain how i can upload all my scanned document on the site any one who is willing to help should pls explain, thanks one love
you can scan all the documents relating to a particular option, like proof of finance, copy them to words sequentially and in such a way it won't be confusing to the VO, after coping, save it in pdf form, if it's more than 4mb, you can then use smallpdf.com to compress it...

canadian embassy don't postdate visa, the date the visa is approved is on the visa, buh they will issue trv that covers the length of ur study, e.g my trv was issued on the 2nd of sep and I'm to resume on 6th of jan 2015.
your visa was issued on 2nd September, does it mean you can then travel the next week being 13th of Sept, or you have to wait till Jan before you travel....

Please house, I would suggest something, please those granted TRV should please try and tell us what they used as home tie so we can construct ours from their... lol, having a salon can it serve as home tie, probably tell them, you intend coming back after studies if not, would have closed the salon and sell off your equipments...

I believe 95% of peeps here who got their visas didn't include IELTS or TOEFL . I got admission without it and it's not needed when applying for visa
MasterP, the only reason to your denial is that probably from your application, there was no convincing home tie, you didn't convince them you are just going for studies and will return after your studies, looks like your going there to hustle after graduation, your landed property would have served as a strong home tie but probably it was not clearly stated in your SoP... my opinion thought, still stand to be corrected.

Guy, that's too high, is a seal stamp and few words written on the document, U can try another lawyer, probably he has seen the money and the reason stated in the sponsorship letter and decided to hike d price. Nigerians and their mentality, once they hear U r going abroad, is assumed U r rich, try another lawyer, negotiate with him or her per copy of document, at most 1k before bringing out your documents

What I expect the VO will do if your visa is granted months b4 school resumption is to postdate the validity of your visa to a later date...

And in your application form you need to choose the date you intend to arrive Canada (or rather the date ur school is to resume)... this is the date the VO is likely going to work with when deciding ur visa issuance date.

just my opinion tho
OK, Thanks so much

... Ur Post graduate work permit depends on your study duration.... Since ur program is 2 semesters... most likely u will onyl get 8months Post Grad work permit... Then during that period u can secure a Masters program and apply for Study permit few months before your work permit expires....
Oga Siga, please how many months work permit will be given to me, if apply for PGD and go for my 2yrs masters immediately... what's the best province to study and earn more.

... U can only state the duration of your current admission .... dare state u plan to stay longer... u go enter second chance... no try am...Keep in mind once u finish this first one and secure Post graduate work permit... U are no more eligible for it after masters...
Mr. Siga, I hail you, you are really a blessing to this forum... keep it up.. I'm still confused a little, how long is post graduate work permit and is it possible to stay back after the masters, although i'll still come back for few weeks and go back, probably plan towards permanent residence... what's your suggestion?
