Religion / Re: Pastor Chris 'Heals' Nine People On Stretchers (Video) by Geovanni412(m): 11:03am On Mar 29 |
Truthfullone19: The blindness in following is truly astounding I attended CE for a few months but stopped after one Sunday... In Church, the Pastor said their healing stream service was watched by 6 billion people. My mind froze. I asked my neighbour, " Did she say 6 billion?" The man answered yes, boldly. I felt maybe both of us are mistaken. The pastor repeated the message again in her call for us to donate towards the healing stream. I got up and left to nearby fastfood joint, that was the last time I ever went there. What surprised me was I was the only one who stood up to leave. Also, I was surprised that till date, they still have these numbers up on their website. It's amazing that a Christian TV service with less members than the catholic church can claim that it's program was watched more than the fifa world cup, yet people are blind to the truth. To avoid arguments these days, I try not to argue with people over their 'church' beliefs. If you believe in tithe, 'daddy in the lord's etc, I don't even bother discussing anything religion with you. 14 Likes 1 Share |

headboyprince: Your knowledge of the Nigerian situation is too poor How many Nigerians are sure of their next meal? There are over 71 million Nigerians in poverty These people are not sure of their next meal, so what business do they have with a bag of rice? Their business is with one or half cup of rice. The fact that you are living well does not mean that many Nigerians are. 1 Like |

headboyprince: I agree that Feeding is expensive But using bag of rice as a metric is a poor measure It would be better to use a cup of rice Use a unit that people consume per day and not sth that stretches out over months. .Many people in Nigeria have never bought a bag of rice in their lifetime..make we dey tell ourselves the truth |
Business / Re: Earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than £2000 In UK - Allen Onyema by Geovanni412(m): 12:03pm On Mar 28 |
VeeVeeMyLuv: Chief, don't mention shoes and clothes in this equation. If you have 200k, go to second hand shop. That's common sense. Only spend on necessities like children food, school fees, house rent etc. Salary and wage can never change just like that. If they do that, they will sink the country in heavy inflation What will be the new minimum wage? 1million naira? In my opinion, minimum wage should be scrapped Let them pay people per hour instead. I think the minimum wage experiment in Nigeria has failed woefully. Very hardworking people get paid the same as ghost workers. In school, I knew two guys from Taraba that collected salary even before the govt workers because their pops dem dey house of assembly. 1 Like |

martolux: How many bags of rice does one buy in a year? That is the question to answer On average, a family of four eating three cups of rice in a day no go finish one bag of rice in six months. If you know this maths, solution is to buy food in bulk and store once you got the money to do so. |

Astra101: Like I said earlier, 95% of all torture after arrest is unwarranted. We've seen this too many times in Nigeria This case, however, from your description, falls within the 5% outliers Since they were captured on video doing the act, it makes sense for the authorities to press them, even if by torture to know the other members of their organisation |

decatalyst: Don't talk like that How are we sure they are even the ones who committed the bombing? Authorities make mistakes too The Guildford four were falsely imprisoned for 15 years when they were innocent for the bombings in 1974 in Guildford, England. Their story is well captured in the movie, In the Name of The Father starring Daniel Day-Lewis. Torture is never the answer in 95% of interrogations. Business / Re: CBN Raises Benchmark MPR By 200 Basis Points To 24.75% by Geovanni412(m): 3:14pm On Mar 26 |
Inspirer1: Increasing the monetary policy rate (MPR) by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has several implications for the economy: 1. **Tightening of Monetary Policy**: By raising the MPR, the CBN is essentially tightening its monetary policy. This means it is making it more expensive for banks to borrow money from the central bank. When borrowing becomes more expensive, banks are likely to lend less, which can reduce the amount of money circulating in the economy. 2. **Impact on Borrowing and Spending**: Higher interest rates typically discourage borrowing and spending by both consumers and businesses. Consumers may be less likely to take out loans for purchases such as homes or cars, while businesses may scale back on investments and expansion plans due to increased borrowing costs. This can lead to a decrease in economic activity and slower growth. 3. **Control of Inflation**: One of the primary reasons for raising the MPR is to control inflation. Inflation occurs when the prices of goods and services rise over time, eroding purchasing power. By increasing interest rates, the CBN aims to reduce consumer spending and investment, which can help curb inflationary pressures by slowing down demand in the economy. 4. **Exchange Rate Stability**: Higher interest rates can also influence the exchange rate. Increased interest rates may attract foreign investors seeking higher returns on their investments, leading to an influx of foreign capital into the country. This can strengthen the local currency and help stabilize the exchange rate. 5. **Potential Impact on Investment**: While higher interest rates can help control inflation, they may also have a dampening effect on investment and economic growth in the short term. Businesses may delay or cancel investment projects due to higher borrowing costs, which can negatively affect job creation and overall economic output. Overall, the decision to raise the MPR indicates that the CBN is prioritizing inflation control and macroeconomic stability. However, the impact on the economy will depend on various factors, including the degree of the interest rate hike, the responsiveness of consumers and businesses to higher borrowing costs, and the effectiveness of other monetary and fiscal policies in supporting economic growth. copied from chatgpt 9 Likes |

EXLOVER: Which stop loss you wan put wey go hold? With that lot size, your stop has to be sth like 10 points maximum and anyone who has traded crash indices before knows that market can move beyond that level and close ard 20 points inevitably doubling your intended risk As for minimum size, volume step when you check properties is 0.01 This means you can open lot size of 0.22 then close 0.20 instantly, Now, you will have a trade running with 0.02 lot size and preserve ya acct |
