It is a phrase that has a figurative meaning with the above "boring, nothing interesting or unattractive" being the literal defination of the idiom.

What sienna is emphasising to you and what Iv been advising you for ages is , you should come up with a more attractive and enticing phrase to attract your target audience, instead of your usual boring "lines are opened".

Nevertheless. Wish you the best of luck in your sales, Im sure you have a good and appealing product, but perhaps you need to go back to the drawing board and map out a winning marketing strategy.
