Well .. . Your sponsor doesn't fall under the category of a sponsor. Your guardian can't because you are not legally adopted .. . If he doesn't trust you LOL, make him send to your parents na cheesy
Lol it's a long, complicated story jare. Both my parents aren't around and he's being the one acting as my dad since childhood, we just didn't take the formal steps i.e. adoption or legal guardian. He's also afraid of leaving funds sitting "idle" in an account for 30+ days, that's why all this came up and he wanted to use his own account + letter. Guess it's to beg him undecided

There isn't such. The rules are clear and simple and can't be bent. Either your account or your parents .. .
Lol, wasn't talking about "bending" rules. I was hoping maybe I could have the sponsor write a letter authorizing the PoF, similar to the format for official sponsor in this link: www.gov.uk/guidance/financial-evidence-for-student-and-child-student-route-applicants

But thanks

Thanks for this. Please I have another question. If I have a sponsor or guardian that's not related to me, but willing to help with PoF, has the money in his own account and is willing to provide his statement, but doesn't want to transfer to my account, is there a way around it? I know for parent-child, you can write a letter + birth certificate, however this person isn't related to me, so I'm not sure what the procedure is.

Good morning All,

Please I have a few enquiries regarding Proof of Funds, apologies if the questions have been answered previously:

- If my PoF is N15m (for example), can I transfer the entire N15m at once into the account I want to use and just let it sit for 30 days, or is it advisable I transfer the money in bits, like N2m today, N5m tomorrow, N8m the next day until it's complete, then I wait for 30 days after the last transfer.

-Can I still be transacting on the account while waiting for the 30 days, as long as the balance does not fall below N15m?

-If I use N15m as PoF based on that day's exchange rate and before the 30 days is up, something happens with the global economy, and GBP goes up by a lot, meaning the PoF increases to let's say N19m, is there a solution? Or is everything fine since I was using the rate on the day I transferred the money?

Thank you.
