For me get the Redmi Note 14. There are way more people using the device without issues than those using with issues. The Redmi Note 13 is another option. I would have said Redmi Note 14 5G or Poco M7 pro 5G but that is 100k above your budget.

Good day fellow Xiaomites,

I'm currently using Umidigi A9 Pro, a phone I've had for over four years, and I'm eager to upgrade to a new device. I'm looking to join the Xiaomi community and am researching which Xiaomi phone best fits my budget of ₦220,000 - ₦250,000.

My attention has been drawn to the Redmi Note series, particularly the Redmi Note 14 4G. However, after extensively reviewing this thread (more than 20 pages of posts, posts of since January 2025), I've come across some negative reviews for the RN14, which has made me hesitant as I want to avoid any regrets.

I initially considered the Samsung Galaxy A16 4G variant, but a friend advised against it. I also watched several YouTube comparisons between the A16 and RN14, where the RN14 consistently outperformed the A16. I noted that the RN14 4G was ranked 109th in the AnTuTu performance ranking, which seems decent. The promise of four years of major Android updates and six years of security updates for the Redmi Note 14 4G is also a significant draw for me.

I'm not very familiar with the Poco series, as no one in my area currently uses one. In my region, Xiaomi series, which is flagship brand, is out of my budget.

Given my budget and current considerations, am I making a good choice with the Redmi Note 14 4G, or can you recommend any other Xiaomi device within this price range? Just performance and battery is what I needed as I am currently using a cheap p-mtk device. Your insights are greatly appreciated!

Just two accounts, my friend account and mine . My friend used the first card (GTBank) and make 79USD transaction last week. I will try the AE account verification using PC. Thank You Bro for the help.

the sc card comes diabled for online payment by default. you need to log into your app and toggle it on...someone has posted the steps b4, i cant remember it exactly, but go to security --- cards....

Here are the steps to a activate the card for online payment.
You need to activate the card for international transactions through the SC Mobile App by 3 lines Option located at the top Left Corner >>>Service Requests >>> Service Request By Category >>> Card Management >>> Manage Debit Card Security >>> Input the OTP send to you via registered mobile number & then select your card >>> Select Overseas Transactions which is international transactions >>> Enter another OTP send to you via the registered phone number & turn on the Overseas Transactions Feature.
That's All. Enjoy your international transactions using Standard Chartered Bank.

Yes. The one in gold colour that 'VISA GOLD' was written in the front face. All their cards (Visa's) do international transactions. So I've been reached out to by one of my sellers saying my payment is still marked as "unpaid." I thought maybe this would be resolved after my bank transaction completed, but now that the transaction is no longer pending, and the money HAS left my account for the items, Aliexpress still marked the items as unpaid. And the 15.6USD equivalent to 7,650Naira have already been deducted from my GTBank Account.
What will I do to get my money back.

@all how do i fix this error? I've tried to upload the pix of my Mastercard and my voter's card but it didn't upload.

Even if it upload successfully, the appeal is always denied like it happens to me. I upload my Debit Card ending with that number they indicated, National ID, NIN Slip, My Debit Card Statement collected from the bank, Voters Card but still the appeal is denied, I try using another card but the same thing, apply for another appeal with the card still denied, I was only by them to use another payment method.

So I try using the web i.e Chrome Browser and login to my AliExpress account because before am using the AliExpress app downloaded from playstore, I try paying for the same order with the same card am using in the app that got denied and with surprised, the payment goes through. I tried paying for another order, and it goes through.
So I would advice you to try and use the web with Google Chrome and login with your AliExpress account, try paying for the order and see if it goes through. One of the major problem that got our card payment method got blockage in AliExpress is using different IP all the time, try to use single IP when making order in AliExpress.
Waiting for your feedback.

You spoke what I exactly have in mind. Even if the seller won't want to send a whole wristwatch as replacement (which is the ideal thing the buyer must insist on), the least he could do was to send him a replacement glass on his own tab, not the buyer's.

He probably packed the wrist watch shoddily. If it was well packaged with styrofoam, then placed inside a cardboard box and then the box further wrapped with more foam materials, it wouldn't have broken that easy.

I just checked this morning and saw that the seller agreed to refund the money. Thanks for the help friends.

Open a dispute first, let the seller refund the money. It broke in transit. That is no fault of yours.
Get a refund, check if the stress of getting the new glass will be worth it. What if it comes broken too. I'll advise, with the refund, buy from another store. Chat up the seller telling him ur previous experience. That if it breaks you will open a dispute. That will encourage them to package it well.

Thank You for the advice. Without this thread many of us will keep loosing their money to this sellers.

I'll advice you to open dispute ASAP and request for a full or partial refund ,whichever Aliexpress would grand you. The seller should have opted to send you another watch in place of the broken one ,yet he doesn't want to take responsibility for that. That's why he's asking you to buy the replacement glass from another store. Aliexpress sellers can be tricky sometimes . So, don't be fooled. Open dispute right away and attach the pictures of the watch together with the broken glass as evidence ,and then request for a refund of your money.
