It is ignorant people that attribute the defeat of Germany Nazi under Hitler to USSR, it was the US that made the defeat of Germany possible. Without US coming all the way to weaken Germany from the Western front and also dealing a heavy blow on Germany's biggest ally Japan, Germany would have defeated USSR.

When he changed the name department of defense to department of war, you folks thought he was playing. Trump thinks the US military has grown weak and dormant over the years. These steps are deterrence strategies to remind Russia and China of its military and intelligence capabilities.

As he negotiates with Russia over Ukraine, he will continue to engage in military raids across the globe to tell Putin that the US can strike anywhere. More countries should expect forced regime changes. Unless Trump is impeached, Iran's case is a certainty.

The US under Trump is dangerously escalating tension. Seizing an oil tanker in international water is tantamount to piracy. I wonder how Putin still see them as mediator & are willing to negotiate peace & ceasefire agreement with them.

This is what happens when you don't match escalation with escalation and prefer to play the good/humble guy character. Your adversary/enemy/competitor will take you as a full. From the bombing of fishing boats in Venezuelan waters, I expected Moscow & Beijing to show massive naval solidarity to Caracas.

And to add, if i were given a choice between the US or the UK coming in to control Nigerian hydrocarbons exploitation and the sharing of its proceeds, I’d go for the US in a heartbeat! If that happens, come back in just ten years time and the Niger-Delta and other oil producing communities would be unrecognisable! Of course Abuja, Lagos and others that have been coining it in since the late 60s to date would be left a little out of pocket, but who cares!?
