The problem with Nigeria is the government receives so much in tax and delievers very little. That is our anger as a people. It's not that they don't do, but their efforts are very minute compared to our expectations from them plus the tithe we give.

If you know how much these Churches rake in nationwide on a Sunday, then you won't even count their scholarships as anything.

Someone receives 1 million and gives you N100 and you're happy.

I bet it with you, if the government had lived up to expectations, we would never have had this argument in the first place.

It all boils down to us looking for someone we can blame.

Why is this argument not taking place in developed countries. And no, it was not the church that developed those countries. The government did.

.Lol.. You mean Covenant and Redeemer's university that are way way way expensive? Please. It's obvious you don't know the meaning if CSR.

There we go! Covenant and Redeemers.

Like i said, get your facts right and you will be surprised at CSRs that some of these churches performs that you and i dont get to hear about. Take a visit to LASUTH and make inquiries about their intensive care unit. Go to UNILAG and ask about the chemical engineering laboratory. Go to Landmark and ask about students on scholarship. You can help yourself with more information.

And by the way, i know what CSR is! grin

When I see stupid statements like this, I can't help but feel sorry for Nigeria. It shows we have a very long way to do.

Maybe you don't know, but most of the old hospitals in Europe and America were built by Churches. They offered free education in their universities. The performed corporate social responsibilities. These things still happen. Don't governments exists?

If the government does its bit, and the church does theirs, we'd move way forward.

I wont dignify you or your response with insults from my end.

That being said, I advise that you do a LITTLE research and you will discover that we have churches in this country that have done all that you listed above. Yes. I mean ALL.
Unfortunately, the media will never allow you to see such.
All these are the CSR's that the church performs.
Get your facts right sir!

Its such a pity that we have gotten to this level as a country.

We now expect the churches to perform the primary role of government.

The primary responsibility of a government is to see to the WELFARE of its citizens.

Lets think with our senses for once without having to allow emotions rile us of the truth at hand. Why should it be the responsibility of a pastor to fix my road, provide scholarships, build hospitals? Why?

You all should continue with the denial(s). One day, bush meat go catch the hunter. Its just a matter of time.

The day cometh when the son of the poor will have a say in this country.

However, let us continue enjoying our N-Power opportunities till then. cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry

Mr man being Good spirited Has nothing to do with religion to start with

but then even after sponsoring her which I'm quite grateful he did, if she refused to practice or train properly I still wonder if Jesus or even her being born into a Christian home would have helped her grin grin grin that's the question don't twist my story to your benefit like most of y'all sheeples do grin grin and I'm still trying to figure out how u being a sheeple has changed my life grin grin grin grin

Bros...... This will definitely be my last reply because I'm not good at this.

But if what I watched on TV is anything to go by, Odunayo Adekuoroye (that's her name) never said she won the medal because she's a Christian. She came to thank God for helping her (through the man of God ) to attend the championship of which she wouldn't have even won anything if she had not been able to participate.

All the same, all mallam with his kettle.

"Iam a female wrestler, I had schorlarship to study in Finland. Came back for African champion in Morocco, but there was no sponship for world event. I wrote Daddy Adeboye and he provided for me to attend. I came eighth. Last week I participated in Gov. Wike Wrestling championship; this is my gold medal to show for it.
I was born into a Muslim family, but since I gave my life to Jesus, he has made me a champion." I WONDER IF JESUS OR BEING BORN INTO A CHRISTIAN HOME WOULD HAVE HELPED YOU IF YOU DIDN'T PRACTICE OR TRAIN grin grin grin congrats anyway grin grin

See your life. Go back and read that testimony again, and you'll discover that the lady was grateful to God and the pastor for sponsoring her to the event as the government did not cater for them. It was the man of God thathelped yet to get to the championship without which she would not have even been celebrated world wide.

To you and your folks, I can never blame you. You all can continue with the attacks on the church. It's none of my business. I'm proud to be a sheeple
