A chief judge on Friday at a provincial court in southern Thailand shot himself in the chest but survived.

Khanakorn Phianchana, the chief judge at Yala Provincial Court, was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital after he shot himself with his own handgun in a courtroom.

After having delivered a verdict on a minor case, the judge mumbled to attendees in the courtroom, saying he was so tired of living his life overwhelmed by work.

Barely a week after a-week-old baby was recovered from an illegal trade syndicate in Isheri-Osun, a Lagos community, the police have rescued 19 pregnant women at another baby factory.

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly abducted fourteen passengers at Ajeoku junction, along Otan-ile-Okemesi road in Obokun LGA of Osun State.

An eyewitness, Chief Saka Adelu told Daily Post that some of the kidnappers, who pretended as passengers boarded an Abuja-bound bus from Osogbo before striking at the said location around 5pm Sunday evening.

According to Adelu, 14 of the passengers were taken away, while others were left behind.
