It said "REASON WHY NO CATHOLIC HAS ENTERED HEAVEN" My question after reading the antagonistic writeup was "who is chasing the wind" Have you ever asked yourself why the Catholic church never advertises itself or any of her branches or outlets but yet has the highest number of Christians as a denomination? You question the authority of the Catholic church - you called it a "demonic gathering" but there is a backing that Christ Himself set up this Church you now call a 'demonic gathering' Read Matt 16:13 - 20. Not even the gate of hell shall prevail over it. Why has the attention of all churches/ministries turned towards the 'Catholic Church'. Everyone is fighting the Catholic church instead of sin which is the arc enemy to your salvation You say they worship Mary and believe in idols for protection and yet you stick the picture of your pastor to your cars and door post as a sign of what You have believed so much in the power of the enemy of you that your prayer points are always about the enemy. Why carry a handkerchief about in the name of a mantle; thinking you will find more favour? Who ever told you a church sticker will be a saving grace from your enemies You say Mary has no place in heaven; yes I'll agree with you if you answer my question, have you searched through the whole bible and not found her place in creation I bet your answer will be a lopsided yes. But my advice read again. You say that Catholics don't read the bible but I still don't get this point. Is it that they don't read the bible at all or they don't read and preach about 'The Miracle Working God'. There's a difference between reading the bible objective and also reading the bible subjectively. They read every portion of the bible, every nook and cranny of the bible. From the old testament, through the psalms, to the new testament. If you feel they don't read the 'favouritic' parts of the bible, please don't hang yourself, they have chosen what is right by avoiding to hide the truths of human existence in this temporary dwelling place. "The teachings of the Catholic church are too hard" so you go to where you ears will find it easy to take. Well, never forget Luke 20: 45 - 47 and Luke 21: 34 - 36. The catholic church's teachings are the teaching of Jesus Himself. Christ never foretold any enjoyment or pleasure while here on earth. He only promised life eternal and joy everlasting in the kingdom of God. Where then do your preachers get their teachings of favor from Read what Jesus said in Mark 8: 31 - 38 On Sunday the 14th of April 2016, I heard a preacher while in a church service; saying to his members and I quote him: "I want you to unleash your holy anger and pray....". Please read Matt. 5: 21 - 26 and tell me what aspect of anger is holy. Catholics don't pray; oh yes because they have chosen to adopt the bible standard of praying. Once I heard someone say " catholics need to understand the art of praying violently". I laugh. Read what the bible teaches about prayer in Matt. 6: 5 - 15 Finally, I want to advocate that you leave catholics alone. They have never come out to criticize any denomination so I wonder why every denomination is against them. All of these new age shops you call ministries stemmed from the catholic church. If you need to draw people to God, go to where the gospel of Christ Jesus has not reached and evangelize there. Stop feeding on the work of others. If you must judge for God, read what the bible says in Matt. 7: 1 - 6. Whether Catholics have never and will never make it to heaven or not, it is not your business. Focus on 'your' salvation and ensure you make heaven which you claim belongs to non catholics.

Mere mention of the word ‘masturbation’ could be irritating. In some settings, masturbation is considered an evil act. Apparently, not many would want to talk about it either because of their religious backgrounds, morality or it is simply considered absurd. In this part of the world, masturbation is a taboo to discuss but nevertheless remains quite a common and almost natural activity among men and women and even children. By definition, masturbation means touching one’s own body, including sex organs, for sexual pleasure. It has raised a lot of controversy in religious circles. Many individuals wonder if the Bible talks about masturbation. However, while religion does not give thumbs up or thumbs down to it, a study by the Gossard Big M Survey shows that 92 percent of women regularly take time out to masturbate, a huge jump from the findings of previous studies (74 per cent in 1979 and 62 per cent in 1953). While men and women who masturbate live with guilt, shame and fear associated with it, many have also described it as self-abuse. But the other side to it is that, scientifically, studies have shown that masturbating more can dramatically increase individuals’ health and cut the risk of infections. To Miss Bola Oshodi (not real name), who confessed that she started masturbating at the age of 18, it has helped her in so many ways. “I was not influenced by anyone; it started as a result of my menstrual cramps. Each time I do that, it helps to relieve my pains”, she stated. “While I was growing up, I tried to avoid keeping boyfriends. I masturbated just to satisfy my urge for sex. Now that I am married, I do it sometimes. But I can tell you it literally replaced my emotion for males then. Each time I do that, I usually feel like I’m having sex. At the end, I feel good. “I think, there are so many positive effects of masturbating — and it’s fun. It can help you stay in touch with yourself and your sexuality, and is also an extremely satisfying way to pass the time. I also do that each time I am stressed.” Bola’s case is one of the many benefits of masturbation, according to medical experts. According to a study published in European Urology, aside masturbation being a great stress reliever, it has distinct health benefits. Benefits for men The study, which linked masturbation and frequent ejaculation, also found that men who ejaculate regularly have reduced risk of prostate cancer. In the study, which tracked 30,000 men for almost 20 years, scientists found that men in their 20s, who ejaculated at least 21 times a month, were 19 per cent less likely to develop prostate cancer than those who did seven times a month or less. The study – published in European Urology-also found that masturbating a lot when younger decreases health problems in later life. Masturbation is important to medical practice – Dr. Adebayo In an interview with Sunday Vanguard, a consultant obstetric gynaecologist, Dr Samuel Adebayo,, who stated that there are many ways to look at the issue of masturbation, said apart from the benefit of sexual pleasure, it helps people suffering from premature ejaculation to get better. “We have been able to see that people with premature ejaculation tend to get better with masturbation”, Adebayo said. According to him, masturbation also helps in infertility treatment and also in sperm collection for other medical use. The Medical Director, Dayspring Hospital, Lagos explained that there are two indications for masturbation in medical practice. “One of the major indications is that it is a procedure to collect male sperm in the case of infertility. We believe that collecting a sample through masturbation is far better than through sexual intercourse where, most of the times, that of the female would have gotten contaminated with bacteria in the vagina. But if it is by masturbation, you are sure that you will be able to estimate the quantity of the semen and you can accurately estimate the volume, which is one of the parameters we always use when we are estimating the quality of a man’s sperm in relation to infertility. Then if you culture any growth or bacteria, you are sure it is directly from the semen not that it may came from the vagina”. He further stated that masturbation is also used to collect sperm for some gynaecological procedures in Intro-fertilisation, IVF, IUI, among others. On if there is any health implication, Adebayo said he could not say if there are health implications but that masturbation has helped people get better. However, another research also confirmed that masturbation is an important and wonderful way of knowing oneself physically and emotionally. Benefits for women Generally speaking, women often think their sexual desires are less important than their partners. Because of cultural taboos, many women feel that the urge or desire to masturbate is somehow wrong, or the idea of it makes them feel guilty or ashamed. Experts say there is enormous potential for healing, growth and well-being through exploring your sexuality, expressing it, and experiencing it with joy. According to them, women who masturbate experience a wide range of health benefits. They say female masturbation helps prevent cervical infections and relieves urinary tract infections. Studies are showing that female masturbation can provide protection against cervical infections because, when women masturbate, the orgasm “tents” opens the cervix. Many women with urinary tract infections (UTI) report the desire to masturbate when they feel a UTI coming on, and, for a good reason, masturbating helps relieve pain, lubricates the vagina, and flushes old, “unfriendly” bacteria from the cervix. Edochie, who spoke to Sunday Vanguard, explained that it is no coincidence as well that these are the two circles where people are often pressured to deny the obvious for fear of a backlash from their constituents. According to him, everybody masturbates. “Humans need masturbation for the very reasons they need sex, food and sleep. Masturbation, like sex, is part of what makes our bodies tick and function. There is a raging and insatiable sexual hunger that humans and animals are born with and masturbation helps feed that hunger. Human beings are sexual beings and sexual beings need sex to function and thrive amongst other things. That is okay. Sex is part of our constitution and we shouldn’t be unnerved by it. I get that we are embarrassed by the crude and animalistic nature of sexual intercourse but that is not enough grounds to deny the obvious. The human need for food is one that goes without saying and the same goes for our need for medicine when we are ill, sleep when we are tired etc.” He queried why people should question the need for sex when all harbour sexual desire. “Such denial is childish, dangerous and makes no sense. Masturbation is simple the very act of pleasuring yourself to meet your sexual needs when the opportunity for actual sex with another human being is absent. Society largely underrates the importance of sex and it is alarming. “We take the life we have for granted when we question our need for sexual gratification. Our daughters, sisters, wives and mothers are able to go out and come home relatively unharmed, thanks to a masturbating populace. Rape, sexual molestation, child sexual abuse, incest and domestic violence are all consequences of sexual deprivation and if you thought the stats are bad now, imagine how horrible it would be if we never had the opportunity to relieve ourselves sexually. The lawmaker representing Rivers South East in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Abe, said on Saturday that the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State failed to hold its congress in the state. This is as the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Chris Finebone, disagreed with Abe, insisting that the APC congress was successfully held across the state. These two positions may have exposed the crisis rocking the state APC within the past three months. Abe explained that recent development in the APC was disturbing, adding that people were said to be filling in result sheets without election. He described the situation as an embarrassment to the country and maintained that it would be difficult to change the country if personal behaviours were not changed. “As you can see, there has been no congress in the state. The so-called stakeholders meeting in the state on Friday ended in a fiasco. The committee from the national level has not come to the party’s secretariat on Forces Avenue since morning, yet people have been here. “Nobody should stay in a hotel and use any list for Rivers people. It is clear there was no congress in the state. Whatever has been done will not stand.” He further said, “We heard that people were filling in the result sheets in a hotel while all party leaders were in the office. This is an embarrassment to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am sure that the whole country is aware of what’s going on here. The APC members led by Abe, House of Representatives member elected on the party’s platform, Mr. Barinada Mpigi, Chidi Wihioka and Tony Okocha, who is a former aide to Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, went to the hotel to ask members of the convention committee to address them there. They alleged that the team was in the state to rig the congress against Abe ahead of the APC national convention. It took the intervention of the state police command, who took the convention committee members and Abe to the command’s headquarters for negotiation, after over four hours of disagreement at the hotel. SUNDAY PUNCH, however, learnt that while the disagreement at the hotel was going on, the pro- Amaechi members of the party were holding the election in the 23 local government areas of the state. Some of the results showed that in Obio/Akpor LGA, Lawrence Chuku, Chikordi Dike and Madame Beatrice Wogunka emerged as delegates, while in Etche LGA, Nnamdi Okere, Golden Chioma and Mrs. Cilecilia Mmeni, emerged as delegates. In Emohua LGA, Sampson Agbaru, Allen Nma, and Mrs. Otonah were among those elected during the congress. Spokesperson for the Rivers APC, Mr. Chris Finebone, said it was wrong for anybody to say that there was no party congress in the state on Saturday. “I know that the party chairman and some officials of the party were engaged and that made them not to go round the way they would have loved to do. The constituents and delegates were there and most importantly, INEC was there. That they were not able to move around does not mean that the congress did not hold. There is no result written anywhere. Congresses held across the state,” Finebone said. Also, the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, lauded the state chapter of the APC for the conduct of a non-elective congress and election of delegates for the party’s forthcoming national convention. Peterside, who commended party leaders and supporters at various levels and congress officials for conducting a hitch-free exercise, noted that the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi,and the state party executives exhibited sound leadership in achieving transparent coordination of the congress.
