Education / 20 Things Every Woman In Her 20's Should Know by gimbayaro(m): 9:28am On Oct 08, 2017
1. Love and honour your mother. Learn from her mistakes. It will save you a lot of headache in your thirties (30s) and beyond.
2. You are more talented than you’ll ever know. You don’t need to sleep with your Boss/ supervisor to get a promotion at work or better grades at school. Burn late night candles; put extra time to study and practice until you master your skill. Hard work still pays well and does not kill.
3. Women can build a strong support network. Don’t let few ladies with “Pull Her Down” {PHD} syndrome discourage you from cultivating true relationship with your female friends.
4. When a man you meet for the first time babbles about how much he earns working for an oil company and how rich he is, that is a red flag. He is either a married smooth-talker who just wants to sleep with you or he is childish. Walk away from deceit.
5. Make your own money. Start small. Maintain a stable bank account. It will keep you out of trouble.
6. When you meet your Soul mate, don’t forget to wear your most priceless ornament- submission and humility. But while waiting for him, don’t cling to any man to rescue you. Some men these days are also seeking for who will rescue them.
7. Know your body. Look at yourself in front of a full-length mirror at least once a week, naked and after clothed. Know your body and how it works.
8. Life is a gift. But to revel in it, you must be ready to put a lot into nurturing your gifts/talents and skills. Start early.
9. Teenage ended at 19. Clocking 20 means doing away with childish behaviour. But it does not mean you should forget to have fun. You can catch fun and not be dirty.
10. Learn the basic skills and let yourself grow- from how to keep your underwear clean, cook, socialize, and network to how to drive a car.
11. Don’t do drugs. It kills. Read books, it fortifies. Dance as often as you can, it liberates your spirit, soul and body.
12. Learn to laugh at yourself. It is a good way to build a healthy self-esteem.
13. Eat healthy. Learn to cook for yourself. Don’t rely on noodles alone. The cooking skill will be useful in future.
14. Don’t give up when you fail. Try again and again. Don’t give up on education/ learning.
15. Fear of the future. It is a state of mind you must learn to tame. Don’t let fear pull the carpet from under your feet. The Holy Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.
16. Let go of past hurts. You cannot move forward if you keep looking back. Holding on to bitter experiences and regrets will stale your future.
17. Learn to exhale, love deeply and be kind to others, especially those of low estate, and the lowest of low.
18. You are beautiful the way you are. Don’t compare yourself to others.
19. Partnership builds bridges. Don’t ever forget that.
20. Prayer is the master key. Have faith in God and always have the courage to use your voice wisely. Dream big today.
FEAR simply means False Evidence Appearing Real. Enjoy the highs and lows that come with being in your 20s but don’t be afraid to grow older. Live life to the fullest and don’t forget to smile

Politics / Re: "Meet With Nnamdi Kanu" - Obasanjo Tells Buhari by gimbayaro(m): 9:43am On Sep 16, 2017
Nnamdi Manu will be arrested, detained and if possible killed by FG. this guy is nobody to disturb Nigeria.

the igbos don't knw the implications of what they are doing to their self. it was same crises that made foreigners not to come to Kano state and buy goods to their country. I see same thing happening in Aba...

igbos don't knw that 40% of their people have invested their all in the north & the hausas are extremist, when it comes to payback no one does it better than the Hausas.

so if igbos are killing hausas in the east they should remember millions of their people in the north.

if U kill killing Hausas in the east they should know that one Hausa man is equivalent to 100 igbos in the north.

Swiftlee:
The type of course you undertake is not directly proportional to the success of your entrepreneurial endeavours. Secondly, go for your area of interest since you are planning to deviate from been an entrepreneur to finding a job because you will do better in that area. Thirdly, studying in Canada entails high cost. If you had that money to fly and study for two solid years for your masters, why not channel it into a business if you are so passionate.

thanks so much brother,am not trying to deviate from being an entrepreneur, i want to have full business know. that is why i want to go for masters in any business related course. hope you understand.

Kano assembly probes Emir Sanusi
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

Kano State House of Assembly has launched an investigation against the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll, over alleged abuse of office and improper conduct.

The emirate council is already being investigated by the state anti-corruption agency over allegation of financial fraud running into billions of naira.

The House yesterday constituted an 8-man committee to investigate eight offences allegedly committed by the emir.

The committee was constituted following a motion by Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Gama, Nassarawa Constituency.

The 8-man committee was headed by a member representing (Warawa), Alhaji Labaran Abdul.

The allegations are: Accusing the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the state legislators of mismanaging state resources while on an official visit to China.

*Making remarks in Kaduna on the proposed Kano light rail project which had tarnished his (Gama) image, the government and the assembly as well.

*Allegation by the emir that the state governor and his entourage wasted one month in China seeking for loan to construct the light rail in the state.

On this Gama said “First of all, we did not spend one month in China. We only spent four days and our mission was to find out the capability of the company to handle the rail project but not to secure any loan as alleged by the emir.”

He added that the emir’s allegation had caused serious embarrassment to him (the lawmaker), the state government and the House of Assembly within and outside the state.

* Intentionally attacking President Muhammadu Buhari whenever he got an opportunity to speak at a public gathering. He said this had contravened the culture of traditional institution.

*Embezzlement of funds belonging to the emirate council.

*Tarnishing the image of the emirate by assigning his daughter to represent him at a public function, introducing strange religious issues and involvement in politics.

*“Downgrading the honour of the Kano emirate council by assigning his daughter to represent him at a function organised by the #BringBackourGirls# group in Abuja, saying it was against the emirate’s tradition.

On this he said: “There are many responsible members of Kano emirate council members that can represent the emir at the event instead of his daughter. This is the first time we are witnessing this kind of representation in the history of Kano emirate council.

“The mode of dressing of the Emir’s daughter at the event was an embarrassment not only to the emirate council but the entire people of Kano,” he lamented.

Gama, therefore, appealed to the house to investigate the activities of the emirate council with a view to correcting things.

It would also be recalled that the Kano state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission is currently investigating Kano emirate council over alleged embezzlement of over N6bn in three years.

Daily Trust gathered that, three officials of the emirate council were expected to appear before the commission today (Thursday) to answer some questions as a continuation of the ongoing investigation which the commission commenced last month.

However, the Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Agency, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado told Daily Trust that Kano state House of Assembly did not notify the commission on its decision to launch investigation into the activities of the emirate council.

He said, “The commission has suspended its investigation pending the outcome of the Assembly’s. This is because according to the section 16 of the commission’s law, we are prevented from investigating any matter that is before the State Assembly, Executive and or court of law.

“And the law of the commission is a product of Kano State House of Assembly. So, as a mark of respect, we have suspended our investigation into the embezzlement of over N6bn by the Kano State Emirate Council pending the outcome of the House ofAssembly’s investigation.

He said if the House investigation was only focused on the administrative aspect, the commission could have gone ahead with its ongoing investigation.”

But he added that since it borders on allegation of financial fraud, the commission could not go concurrently with the assembly investigating the same issue.

When contacted for comment, Walin Kano, Alhaji Mahe Bashir Wali, said the emirate had not yet received any invitation letter from the State House of Assembly in respect of the probe.

“I only heard about the development on television, but we did not receive any invitation letter from the house in that respect,” he said.

The probe is coming at a time when five northern governors - Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto, Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Kaduna, Kashim Shettima of Borno, Aminu Masari of Katsina and Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger were said to have brokered a truce at a peace meeting in Kaduna penultimate Friday between Governor Ganduje and the Emir.
