Mrs Mutiatu Olaosebikan, 37, on Friday told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos that her husband, Sunday, usually discharged his sperm on the floor during sexual intercourse (withdrawal method).

Mutiatu, a trader, whose husband sought for dissolution of their seven-year-old marriage, said that the petitioner did not want her to get pregnant again after having a child.

“My husband is in the habit of disposing of his sperm on the floor during intercourse.

“He does not want me to get pregnant; he no longer releases sperm into me when we have sex.

“He started this withdrawal method five years ago; I only have one child who is six years old now.

“My husband can go more than six rounds, but will never release the sperm into me, instead he pours it on the floor.

“Whenever I queried him about the withdrawal method he uses, he failed to give me a satisfactory answer,’’ she said

The respondent said that her estranged husband was an untamed chatterbox.

“My husband is a talkative, he talks too much and he cannot keep the family secrets. He is in the habit of sharing our family issues with his relatives, friends and the public.

“There was a day I was attacked spiritually; blood was gushing out of my eyes, nose and mouth.

“When I was rushed to a prayer house, I was told that my husband caused the sickness because he talks too much about out affair to the public,’’ she said.

The respondent also described her husband as tight-fisted.

“My husband is very stingy; he does not give me money. I have been the one taking care of our baby from birth till now,’’ she said.

The mother of one said that her husband had also turned her into a punching bag.

“I have scars all over my body as proof of his abuse anytime we have misunderstanding, he would beat the hell out of me,’’ she said.

She urged the court to grant petitioner’s request for the dissolution of the marriage.

“I also want the marriage to be dissolved; I’m tired of the marriage,’’ she said.

The Petitioner, Sunday, 42, had approached the court to end the marriage over alleged threat to life.

Sunday, a businessman, said that Mutiatu always threatened to kill him.

“My wife is after my life; she stabs me with dangerous weapons whenever we have misunderstanding.

“She once stabbed me with a broken bottle on my head and I bled heavily which landed me in the hospital.

“Whenever we have disagreement, she brings out knife threatening to stab me.

“She is just aggressive and violent in nature; she may kill me one day if I continue with the marriage,’’ he said.

Sunday said that he was not interested in her having another child from her due to his wife’s violent nature.

“Due to her stubbornness and violent nature, I avoid getting her pregnant by using condom or withdrawal method.

“ I don’t want any baby from her again,’’ he said.

The petitioner begged the court to terminate the union on ground of lack of love.

The president of the court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case to April 25 for further hearing. (NAN)

The Borno Police Command has confirmed three bombers lost their livesin multiple bombing explosions in Maiduguri on Friday.

The Commissioner of Police Borno state, Mr. Damian Chuckwu stated this while addressing newsmen at the scene of the blasts in Maiduguri on Friday, adding that no record of civilian casualties except the bombers.

"We are lucky, today would have been another sad day for us in Maiduguri, at 03hrs, two female bombers and a male bomber attacked petroleum tankers parked near a filling station along Damboa road Maiduguri.

"Two bombers detonated while the third was gun down by a soldier. As a result of an explosion, three petrol tankers were also burnt including two petrol loaded truck while the third was an empty truck."

Meanwhile, the fire fighters has done a good Job by bringing the fire under control while causality evacuation has been concluded." Mr. Chuchwu said.

Former Group Managing Director of the National Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Andrew Yakubu has dragged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over forfeiture order.

It would be recalled that earlier last week, Justice Zainab Bage Abubakar of the federal high court Kano, while ruling on an ex pate application filed before it by the EFCC’s counsel, ordered that the $9.8 million and 74,000 pounds recovered from Mr. Yakubu be forfeited to the federal government.

Mr. Yakubu was dragged before Justice Zainab by the commission after it recovered $9.8 million and 74,000 pounds from his residence in Kaduna state.

However, Mr. Yakubu has also dragged the commission to another federal high court sitting at Court road, Kano seeking redress on the forfeiture order.

Counsel to the former NNPC boss, Mr. Ahmed Raji, who spoke through Barrister Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude said his client had applied for motion on notice seeking the court to vacate the forfeiture order earlier granted by Justice Zainab.

The EFCC’s spokesperson at the Kano Zonal office, Idris Nadabo, while confirming the development, said the case is coming up on the 7th March, 2017 at the Federal High court sitting at Court road, Kano.

The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari's health status is not as terrible as speculated.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, stated this early this morning while featuring on the Daily Sunrise programme of Channels Television, monitored by our correspondent.

President Buhari is currently on an extended vacation in the United Kingdom to complete and receive the results of series of tests recommended by his doctors.

Asked to explain Buhari's current health status, Adesina responded: "The current health status of the president is that it is not as terrible as people make it to seem. In his own communication, he (the president) says no cause for worry."

On when exactly Buhari would return to Nigeria, the presidential spokesman said: "He communicated the National Assembly and that letter of communication is in the public domain. He said I will be away till my doctors rule out certain things."

Adesina maintained that the Tuesday's statement that Buhari needed more rest was misinterpreted by the media.

He said statement was in past tense, talking about Buhari's health condition as of the time he was leaving Nigeria on January 19.

Asked again to disclose when the president would come back, he responded: "Well, we do not know when he will be back, but when he is coming, he will communicate."

Adesina said he did not need to talk directly to Buhari on the telephone before he could authenticate the transmissions from the president.

According to him, President Buhari is an honest man "who does not want anything to be coloured on his behalf."

"It is a matter of my personal decision and style (that I don't talk directly to the president). All those I spoke with, his personal physician, his CD (chief detail), his domestic aide, I can tell them to take the phone to Mr President that I want to speak to him. I know Mr President, he will speak with me. But I've decided not to talk to him because I do not need that telephone conversation to authenticate the health of Mr President.

"There is enough authentication, there is one from the acting president, there is one from the Senate president and there is from the speaker of the House of Representatives and many others. So, I do not need to authenticate the status of the health of Mr President by speaking to him."

Nigeria's Naira firmed 1.1 percent to 510 on the black market on Wednesday, bureau de change (BDC) traders said, after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) started to supply dollars for retail transactions in a bid to narrow the spread with the official exchange rate.

Most BDCs were showing only offers to sell at 510 with no bids, having sourced dollars privately at peak rates of 520 per dollar. The naira was quoted at 305.25 per dollar on the official market.

The CBN stepped up dollar sales on the interbank currency market on Tuesday, a day after it effectively devalued the naira for retail currency sales

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu said some Grade II teachers are better than the holders of the National Certificate of Education (NCE).

Speaking during a budget defence session with the House of Representatives Committee on Basic Education and Services, Adamu said every Nigerian should be ashamed of the country’s falling standard of education.

Responding to a question by a member of the committee on whether he was ashamed of the falling standard, Adamu said: “Not only the minister but every Nigerian, should be ashamed of the falling standard in education.

“Our major problem is lack of funding. The records show that Nigeria has about 13million children out of school, the highest in the world. Even those that are in schools, they’re not getting the best.

“The next thing is teachers’ development. The NCE holders are actually worst than Grade II teachers, because our recent experience has shown that,” he said.
