A man in Hyderabad India has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife at Srinagar colony in the city.

According to the police, the accused, Pradeep Kumar and the victim Manikranti got married in 2015.

Later, they parted ways due to marital disputes.

On Sunday, Pradeep visited Manikranti’s house and beheaded her, after which he dumped her head in a canal, thehansindia.com reported on Monday.

The CCTV footage showed that the accused was running with a sickle in one hand and the severed head in another hand.

Traffic police who saw the accused near a bridge with bloodstains on his shirt informed the police.

The man was then arrested. And for now the police are on a search for the severed head.

Manikranti had filed a case of domestic violence against Pradeep some time ago and he was arrested. Pradeep, who was recently released on bail, resorted to the brutal killing to seek revenge, the police said.

This is not the first time of such an incident in Hyderabad. In July, two men in Telangana murdered a man by beheading him, and then took the severed head to the police station and surrendered.

Award-winning afrobeat singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has said he is yet to accomplish anything, as he still wants more.
Wizkid made this known during an interview with Vanguard, where he described success as the number of lives one has touched in their career.

He said: “Success is making sure that every African child out there has an opportunity to actually get ahead in life. Success, for me, is touching people’s lives.

There are a whole lot of things happening around the world. There’s poverty around the world. I will definitely like to do more. I don’t think I am successful yet, to be frank.”

Asked about the first big money he made as an artiste, he said: “ the first money I ever collected was N250,000; I was so excited, I told my partner at that time; ‘Bro, we started this music hustle with nothing, now we are able to make N250,000.

If we are able to really make this kind of money, I think we can touch a million US Dollars.”

Speaking on his assessment of the music industry, he said “ I never really thought we would make the hits we are making right now. Things have changed immensely in the last couple of years.

The superstar stated that the biggest challenges he faces in the music industry is piracy, adding that much money is not made when their works are being pirated.

He further said “It’s not easy running a record label in this country without government funding and support. It is also okay for more corporate brands to step in and support the artistes.

In the latest Instagram post, Davido disclosed the video has hit 7million views, in one week.

The artist similarly drew the attention of his 12 million Instagram followers to the one million views feat achieved in the first 24 hours of release.

Davido is a sensation on social media and today he also hit a milestone on Instagram with 12 million followers.

Authorities of the 82 division, Nigerian Army have arrested a soldier attached to Forward Operations Base, Ohanze, for the killing of one Mr Chimaobi Nwaogwu at Umuokereke Ngwa Community of Abia state.

Recall that the killing of Mr. Nwaogwu led to a violent protest by Motorcycle transporters (Okada Riders) and other sympathizers who claimed that he was killed by soldiers for refusing to part with bribe money.

However, an investigation conducted, following the directive of the General Officer Commanding 82 division, Major General Maikobi has discovered that a soldier shot the bullet that killed Mr. Nwaogwu.

This is contained in a statement by Col Aliyu Yusuf, Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, titled, ‘Update Report on the Shooting incident that led to the death of Mr Chimaobi Nwaogwu at Umuokereke Ngwa Community of Abia state’

It said, “Reference to our earlier press release on the incident that led to the shooting of an innocent citizen Mr Chimaobi Nwaogu of Umuokereke-Ngwa, in Obingwa LGA Abia State. Headquarters 82 Division Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public that,

Further investigation on the incident revealed that Lance Corporal Ajayi Johnson one of the soldiers deployed at Forward Operations Base, Ohanze for security duty absconded his duty location to an unknown destination and was reported to have been involved in a scuffle that led to the shooting and killing of the Okada rider Mr Chimaobi on Wednesday 7 August 2019.

The soldier was casually dressed in camouflage T-shirt which led to the initial suspected identity of the culprit as a cultist.

The soldier has since been arrested and detained. Disciplinary procedure is in progress.

He will be tried according to extant military law and if found culpable will be dismissed and handed over to the Civil Police for prosecution.

The Nigerian Army deeply regrets this unfortunate incident and pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

We also pray that the almighty God will strengthen his family, loved ones and the entire Abians for this irreparable loss.
