Mercy Olamide Afolaranmi, a student of Microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has committed suicide.
According to the school’s Chief Security Officer, Babatunde Oyatokun, Miss Afolaranmi, poisoned herself. Students and a neighbour close to the deceased also said she killed herself due to poor grade.

“We got a call that one of our students took poison,” Mr. Oyatokun said. “We got to hospital to realise that she mixed rat poison. She gave us the contact of her parents but before they arrived, she already gave up due to the effect of the poison she took.”

A neighbour, Bimpe Oni, in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES, said Miss Afolaranmi, who lived off-campus at Sabo area of Ile-Ife, died on Thursday, after she took “rat poison mixed with battery extract.”

Mrs. Oni said the late student committed suicide because of “emotional pressure.” A student, Aisha, who was Miss Afolaranmi’s colleague in the Faculty of Science, said the deceased had ‘E’ in CHM101 (Chemistry for first year students), a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.

“Mercy often isolated herself in class and looked depressed,” said Aisha. “She told me she had ‘E’ in CHM101 and has been going around unhappy before this incident.” Another student in the Faculty of Student, Opeyemi, said “she took poison because of result.”

The school’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Isiaka Aransi, also confirmed the news. “Although the reason and cause of her death is yet to be known, the division is aware of the death of Mercy,” she said.

Before her death, on October 10, she posted on Facebook that: “Above all other things, I just wanna see God, see what He looks like, speak with Him face to face. I don’t wanna miss heaven. LORD HELP ME.”

Oh well, maybe because Mompha revealed to the world that Hushpuppi’s dad is a taxi driver, and his mum a bread seller, thus he doesn’t take care of his folks!

Ray Hushpuppi has now responded to Mompha after the latter called him out in an Instagram post and revealing deep secrets.

Recall that Mompha had called out Hushpuppi for living a fake life for Instagram, how he begs for money and spends it all on Gucci and luxury items.

He also went on to reveal that Hushpuppi’s father is a Taxi driver and his mom sells bread.

Daddy Freeze has trolled Singer Timi Dakolo, after a Twitter user stood his ground and claimed he knows Timi’s side chic.

The drama all started after Freeze’s disagreement on Timi’s stand on divorce, where he had stated that divorce was a huge blessings to him and should not be condemned.

According to him, marriage is meant for adults who understand the the depth and import of the marital clause which reads: ‘for better for worse’; stressing that marriage is not for the ‘shallow and impatient generation.’

On his instagram page @timidakolo, he wrote: “The way people are making divorce look like something kool… Like your marriage vow means nothing..

“It makes me wonder what they thought for better for worse meant…If you weren’t sure…Why did you go ahead?

“Don’t give love a bad name…You guys are the problem not that marriage is bad.

“This shallow minded and impatience generation….Fix yourself.

“Marriage is for two complete adults…Don’t enter into it with your incomplete self.

“Marriage will not make an incomplete person complete… You should come into it prepared and complete…But what do i know? Am i not just a Musician?”

His note of course has caused quite some controversy, which of course led to a social media war with OAP, Daddy Freeze.

What’s even more shocking is the revelation a twitter user made.

The user claims he knows Timi Dakolo’s side chic, and with this revelation, Daddy Freeze has decided to troll the singer.

A Nigerian Lady, Hope Etim who lives in Uyo has called out her friend, whom she accomodated for the night, but in returned stabbed her in the back, she stole her phone.

Hope at first called out the certain lady, and gave her 2 hours to return her phone, else she’d expose the lady. She wrote on her Facebook:

“A girl I helped out to stay over at my place last night,made away with my phone. I want to post her picture so you people can tag her to return my phone.That phone is my all. I give her two hours from now or else I’ll post her picture and important Infos.”

The 2-hour deadline elapsed and she shared photos of the said friend who absconded with her phone. She wrote on Facebook;

“#Thief_o Her name on Facebook is Sucre Tushbae she has blocked me on Facebook. She came to my house last night with claims that she can’t go back to her place cause of what she has to do in Uyo, so she needed a place to stay over the night.

I allowed her as a friend that I know. I left my phone at the side of my bed just to wake up in the middle of the night with no sight of her nor my phone. She packed all her bags she came with and made way with my phone. Please if you know her tag her to return my brand new phone.

A Port-Harcourt based Nigerian lady, Identified on Facebook as Zina Leyh, has shared with her followers, and suitors to stay clear off her DM, as she only deals with married men.

In a post she shared on her Facebook, Zina revealed that she’s a bi-sexual, as she only sleeps with married men and women.
