Crime"Igbos Are Kidnapping Your Children Because You Are Careless" - Emir Sanusi by gistringgers(op): 2:41am On Nov 11, 2019
The Emir of Kano, Muhamad Sanusi has rebuked some parents in the state over their care-free attitude to their children, insisting that the parents of the nine abducted children ought to have been prosecuted for act of negligence.

The monarch spoke at a public lecture on drug abuse, which was organized by the League for Societal Protection Against Drug Abuse at the weekend in the state.

The emir, who categorically condemned the abduction of the children, however, stressed that their abduction would not have been possible if the affected parents had not allowed the children in the streets without a guardian.

“People are talking that Igbo kidnapped our children. Yes, they did. But did they enter your house and steal them or you left your three-year-old child to be roaming the streets?” he asked rhetorically.

The emir observed that they are always in the habit of blaming other people for their problems when they should have also blamed themselves.

He assured his audience that he was in contact with the Obi of Onitsha adding that they had held a lot of useful discussions on the issue.

Sanusi, therefore, enjoined parents to always pay attention to the wellbeing of their children.

In her remarks, the Coordinator of the League, Maryam Hassan, highlighted the challenges facing the girl-child in the region while observing that more women and girls in the region were into drug abuse because of forced marriages and the pressure of an unwelcome marital relationship.

RomanceBrother Walks His Sister Down The Aisle Despite Suffering Horror Accident by gistringgers(op): 6:19am On Nov 10, 2019
A newly wedded bride who has been simply identified as Deborah, has shared a story that once again validates the statement ''Family is everything''.

Growing up, Deborah and her brother had decided that he would walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. They always looked forward to that day.

Sadly, two months to her wedding, her brother was involved in a Ghastly car accident that left him with broken ankles and knees, broken right clavicle and elbow, fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, perforated bowel and perforated stomach.

Her brother developed a cold feet walking her down the aisle as they had discussed. He asked Deborah to pick someone else to do the honors as he would not want to spoil pictures of her walking to meet her husband.

Deborah however insisted on him walking her down the aisle, stating that he would be the perfect in all the pictures.

Read her amazing story as she shared on her IG page below

TESTIMONY TIME

On 23rd June 2019 my brother was in a near fatal car accident. He had to be cut out of the car that had collided with a tree and airlifted to hospital. He suffered major injuries, breaking both of his ankles and knees in multiple places, breaking his right clavicle and elbow, fracturing his ribs, a collapsed lung, perforated bowel and perforated stomach. There is nothing that could have prepared us for this news. I was broken, confused and had moved beyond weary to just completely flat out finished. So the only option left was to hand everything over to God because I had nothing left to give.

The thing is my brother had been in hospital for 2 days and we had no idea, the police nor the hospital had contacted us and so we were none the wiser. But God already had Him covered, God ensured that he had no brain injuries, God ensured that his spine was intact and unharmed, God ensured that authorities would be able to cut him out of the car, God ensured that his surgeons would be able to carry out his preliminary surgery with skill and precision. God was always in control no matter how hopeless or bleak the situation may have seemed. He was by his side, His angels were on specific assignment and there was a battle for his life in the realm of the spirit that our God claimed the victory in.

My brother was meant to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day which was exactly 2 months from the date of the accident. He was already dealing with a pre-existing medical condition and he thought that because of this and the difficulties he already had with walking, that I wouldn’t want him taking me down the aisle anymore. He thought it might spoil my picture perfect vision of my wedding day and he discussed with me early on in the year someone else perhaps stepping in for him. But you see the truth is my idea of picture perfect is exactly this! It has God all over it, it has His victory etched in every tear, in every smile and in every hand raised. That is my picture perfect, that was always my greatest desire that Gods faithfulness, His mercy, His power and His glory would be revealed to believers and unbelievers alike.

There is no situation, no circumstance, no predicament that God cannot use to reveal himself. We spend so much time operating in fear and shame, scared of what people might think of us, our families, our lives if we open ourselves up. But those things we are scared of people knowing about, those things we are scared of people seeing are the very peculiarities that God desires to use!

The enemy didn’t want this day to happen, he didn’t want this wedding to go ahead, he didn’t want my brother to survive. He wanted the wedding cancelled and replaced with a funeral and if not at the very least he wanted it to be a pitiful day. But God had already written this moment, He had already determined who was going to come out as victorious, He had already set out every comeback for every setback the enemy would try to throw at us. The enemy is so crafty, he tries to cripple us with trauma and pain to stop us from operating at the frequency God requires of us.

Elder @simone_olagoke wasn’t aware of any of these details but she sensed and declared victory on this day, she said that the enemy was mad, that we he had been defeated and that God had won the victory!

My charge to you is to use it ALL. Use every battle to grow spiritually, to draw closer to God, to stabilise your foundations. Let God turn every ounce of your circumstance around, let Him transform your mind and the way you see things. Allow Him to take full control and watch Him blow your mind, He is mighty to save.

AutosToyota To Recall 679 Defective Cars In China by gistringgers(op): 7:22pm On Nov 09, 2019
Japanese automaker Toyota will begin recalling 679 imported Lexus cars from November 16, due to defective pneumatic rods, according to China’s market regulator.

Filed by Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., the recall will involve Lexus CT200h models manufactured between Jan. 30 and March 12, 2019, the State Administration of Market Regulation said in a statement.

Due to defective electroplating process by suppliers, the surface of the pneumatic rods on the vehicles might fracture, which will pose safety risks, said the administration.

The company will check the serial number of the pneumatic rods and replace the defective parts free of charge.

CrimeRetired Military Officer Samuel Adagbo Arrested For Selling Babies To Politician by gistringgers(op): 2:46pm On Nov 09, 2019
A retired Nigerian military officer has been caught selling babies to a politician and has been arrested.

According to Punch Meto, the operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team have arrested a retired military officer and nurse, Samuel Adagbo, for allegedly selling babies to a politician in Delta State.

Adagbo, 73, was arrested alongside his accomplices, Faith Desmond, Sunday Chinedu, 33 and Joy Monday 23.

While Monday was said to have sold her baby to Adagbo, Chinedu reportedly facilitated the transactions of three children, two of whom the septuagenarian sold to the politician identified only as Francis.

City Round learnt that Adagbo, who lives in Biri community, Delta State, also operated an unregistered mortuary where four bodies were recovered by the police.

Adagbo said, “I was enlisted into the Nigerian Army in 1968 during the civil war and I retired in May 1982. I was with the Nigerian Army Module Nurse School. In 1984, I registered my maternity home under the then Bendel State Ministry of Health. I was operating a clinic and a maternity and I also have a mortuary where I keep dead bodies within the community. The mortuary was not registered but I didn’t know that it was illegal to operate a mortuary without proper registration.

“About three years ago, one Favour brought Joy (Monday) to my house and she told me she was six months pregnant. She gave birth to a male child who died some hours after birth. Her second child is a female child sold to a woman whose whereabouts I don’t know now.”

Adagbo stated that one Friday introduced Francis to him and he sold two newborns to the politician for N450, 000.

“I collected N300,000 for the first baby from Mr Francis and the mother took N150, 000 and gave me the remaining amount. I gave Friday who brought the deal N50, 000 while I took N100, 000.

“That same day, Mr Francis bought another six month-old-baby from me for N150,000 and I gave the mother of the baby N50,000 while I took N100,000,” he added.

The police said they were on the trail of the politician and Friday.

A double-barrelled gun was also said to have been recovered from Adagbo but the man said the gun was licenced at the Delta State Police Command.

He said, “I bought the gun for N235,000 at Onitsha Market (Anambra State) and I took it to the Delta State Police Command for registration. It was registered by a police officer called Collins. He was attached to the armoury.

“I was ignorant of all the crimes I committed and I want the police to be merciful. I want God to forgive my sins.”

Desmond, 27, from Plateau State, said Monday took him to Adagbo sometime in April 2019 when she (Desmond) was seven months pregnant with a promise that the man would assist her to deliver her baby.

“I was there with them for about two weeks, and later police came to arrest Adagbo and everyone in the compound. We were taken to the police station. I am aware Adagbo is selling babies.

“Joy (Monday) later confessed to us that she sold a baby to Adagbo and that he gave her N50, 000,” she added.

Monday, an indigene of Enugu State, confessed to have sold a child to Adagbo, adding that she initially planned to abort the pregnancy.

On his part, Chinedu said, “A woman by name Christabel came to me and was crying that she came to Umunede (Delta State) to make some money to travel. She agreed to sell her baby for N300, 000. Samuel (Adagbo) collected N50,000. He gave me N30, 000 and he handed over N230,000 to Christabel and she left.

“Christabel came back to me with her pregnant friend and one young man who said he was the husband of the lady. We all went to Samuel Adagbo’s house. When the woman was delivered of a baby girl, we sold the child for N300,000 and shared the money with the same formula. The total children Adagbo bought through me were three.”
