Best Computer Training Centre in Aba I have gone to more than 20 computer training centre in Aba, just to be able to write this article. People has always been saying negative things about Aba when it comes to tech. The truth is that Aba is lacking behind when it comes to tech, that's why we need to make sure that the people that are promoting tech are really doing it in the right way. After my research, it was only one computer training centre that is up to standard. Note: this article is not for list of hubs in Aba. Aba has some great hubs that are really doing great things. (IGHUB, RAD5, etc). The computer training centre that is up to standard is WEBDEVES ACADEMY. I visited Webdeves Academy and from the way they are teaching, the environment, in fact everything about them was cool. They didn't follow the normal Aba computer training centre way. JAMB to Reschedule Exam for 2017 UTME Candidates With Technical Issues The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has disclosed that candidates who experienced technical issues while sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination would be rescheduled to resit the examination. He said candidates to resit the exams include those that were logged out by the systems and could not answer the questions. He further stated that the resit examination would not clash with the National Examination Council examination scheduled to start on Monday. According to him, the hitches were caused by faulty cables. He said, “When they talk about network problem, what they mean is cable. When they had problem in Dutse, I sent somebody there and we spent only N8,000 on cables. It does not cost money. It is because they put it on the floor and people will step and damage them. And on the day of the examination, that what was accounted for the hitches and questions not being found. So if you are among the people that had that issue don't cry again!! Share with your friends. Before your exams or when your exams is approaching, you should be thinking about how to get better at time management and organize your days so you can strike the right balance between home, work and university life. By taking the time to arrange your priorities, you can give yourself the best chance of staying on track and organized during the exam period, which in turn can help reduce stress levels, something that can be the difference between success and failure at university. Take a look at our top seven time management tips, so that you can do your best at university and also find moments to relax and even earn some money on the side. 1) What do you have to do? The first stage of improving your time management is to list absolutely everything that you have to do. This may sound obvious, but speaking from experience, most students tend to leave important tasks until the last minute, which can impact on the quality of their work and their overall grade. Include any university deadlines as well as any shifts you work on the list, and make a note of how much time each priority will take out of your schedule. 2) Create a life schedule Whether it’s a pin-up planner, a timetable or a calendar on your phone, find an organizing tool that works well for you and add your list of priorities to it. Also, think about when you are most alert, so that you can plan your study periods around these times. Find time for socializing, but also make sure that you get enough sleep. Most people need between 7 to 8 hours sleep every night to remain focused and alert during study periods. 3) Be flexible but realistic Typically, allow around 8-10 hours a day for working, studying, socializing and anything else practical you need to do. As a full-time student, you’re expected to dedicate 35 hours a week to university studies, including the time you spend in seminars and lectures. If you only spend 15 hours a week attending tutor-led learning, you should use the extra 20 hours for independent study. It’s also important to remember that things often take longer than expected. So, allow a little extra time in case you spend longer on a task than you thought you would. 4) Allow time for planning to avoid repetition Taking the time to research, plan and think about your work is crucial for good time management. Allow yourself the time to process new information and plan how you are going to use it, as this can help you to avoid having to re-read and repeat any research. One way of effectively planning before researching is to make a list of everything you want to find out, so that you can make notes below each subheading as you go. 5) Avoid procrastination and distraction One way to avoid procrastination is to think about the different places you have been when studying – where were you the most focused? Where were you most distracted? Remember, what works for one person might not necessarily work for you. For some, studying with friends can limit their productivity. But for others, studying in groups can help to increase motivation and avoid procrastination. 6) Exercise to clear your head in between study sessions Believe it or not, exercise works in the same way sleep does. It can focus your state of mind, helping you to clear your head in between study sessions. If you’re new to exercise, aim to fit in a 10-minute run here and there, steadily increasing the amount you do as you go on. 7) Has your organization been effective? Constantly reviewing and reassessing your schedule can help you to recognize whether you need to make any changes in order to help you complete any university tasks and also have time to relax and spend time with friends and family. 5 Best & tested Ways To Make Money As A Student In Any Country Best way to make money while still a student. Many students have been having this problem of not having money to solve little problems in school. Many students even join Ponzi site but end up losing the little the have. What is the reason? In every institution there are three (3) types of students: Students that try their best to find a means to get money while they are still in school but only depend on the little they get from it. Students that believe that is only when they finish school that they will start looking for money Students that want to make money while in school but don’t know how. These are the 3 categories of students in every institution. We the Giststudents team have call it a duty to opine on this matter. Student that try their best to get money but depend on the little, should know that depending on the little you get will still make you to be in need because when big problem comes, you won’t be able to solve it and that will make you start looking for where to get money. This then mean you have to find more means on how to make more money. Students who thinks that is only when they finish school that they need job should have this in mind that “70% of Graduates are jobless”. By having something doing when you are still in school will help you build something before you finish school and this will make you to be independent after school or you can be doing it until you get a job that pay more than that one. Students who want to start making money in school but don’t know how to start or things to do. Don’t worry this post is for you!!!. We are going to show you the most best 5 ways to make money while still in school. Now let get started. 5 Best & tested Ways To Make Money As A Student In Any Country 1 Apply for new scholarship and Internship. This is the first thing to do as a student when you enter into any institution. Applying for a scholarship will help to lower some of the payment you have to make, like your school fees. If you can get a scholarship that will pay your school fees, you can then use the money your parent gave you for school fees and do another thing. A lot of students think that they are only eligible for funding when they initially apply for admission. This is a mistake! There are often new scholarship opportunities for upper level students, though they aren’t always widely advertised. You may also be able to apply for external scholarships, which are offered from groups outside of your school. So begin by scoping out bulletin boards on your campus and paying careful attention to any information you get in your department group or any society you may belong. You can check list of Scholarship available by clicking here 2 Offer your services as a tutor and sell materials. One of the best way to learn a subject is to teach it. By becoming a tutor, you can hone your own knowledge of your field of study, perform a valuable service to others, and earn some needed cash. It’s a win-win scenario for everyone involved! You can pick a subject you think you know a bit about it and start teaching it to other students. Remember you don’t need to know everything in that subject to start, the more you teach the more you understand. You can write materials on that subject for students to buy. Students who sell materials in any institution make up to #100,000 gain in all the materials they sell per semester. 3 Open a salon in your hostel/lodge (or make house calls). This one is mostly for girls but also boys that engage in this make much money than girls. If you are talented at doing nails, hair, or make-up, consider advertising your services to your friends and course mates, especially before big events like fresher’s night or Valentine’s Day. Students who are into this biz make much money from it. Click on page 2 below to read the rest 4 Use your own creativity. When I said creativity, I mean many things. There is no joy than the joy you get when you get money from the things you know. If you are a fast and accurate typist, if you are great at creating interesting presentations with sophicated graphics, or if you excel at creating tables and graphs to represent data, are you good in developing App, can you create a website, can you use the internet to register courses and other online form. If yes to any of this, then count yourself as someone with a potential. You will get money by helping other students with the assignment that relate to the one you know. Also can create a website for company, your department (if they don’t have one). Even create an App that will get you much money. 5 Have your own blog or website. Blogging is one of the best way to make money as a student. Many people said that blogging don’t pay but I tell you today that blogging still pay, it all depend on you. Blogging is one of the ways to express your knowledge to the world. If you want to know how to create a blog click here. There are so many ways to make money in blogging, you can check them out here. If you’ve ever seen the film The Social Network then you’ve most likely had your brain spinning as to what website you can start-up to make you billions. And of course there are lots of stories out there about successful students who have started a site while at university, or even bought a domain name and later sold it for 1000s. In fact, Save the Student is one such example of a website started at university by Owen Burek in his first year, which has since grown into a full-time and successful enterprise. Read Debug’s 4-step guide to setting up a website if you’re interested in finding out more. It’s really not that difficult to get started and there are plenty of opportunities to make money online. With the five steps above, you are sure of making cool cash. http://www.giststudents.com/2017/04/18/5-best-tested-ways-to-make-money-as-a-student-in-any-country/

Many people use the two terms “web design” and “web development” interchangeably, but they really do have two very different meanings. If you’re looking for a new job in the web design industry, or if you are someone looking to hire a web professional to build a website for you or your company, you need to know the difference between these two terms and the skillset that come with them. Web Design Web Design is the most common term used for professionals in this industry. Oftentimes, when someone says they are a “web designer” that are referring to a very broad set of skills, one of which is visual design. The “design” part of this equation deals with the customer-facing or “front end” part of the website. A web designer is concerned with how a site looks and how the customers interact with it (they are sometimes also referred to as “experience designers”). Good web designers know use the principles to create a site that looks great and beautiful. They also understand about web usability and how to create a site’s that are user friendly that customers want to navigate around in because it’s so easy and intuitive to do so. Web Development Web Development comes in two flavors – front-end development and back-end development. Some of the skills in these two flavor overlap, but they do have very different purposes in the web design profession. A front-end developer takes the visual design of a website (whether they created that design or it was handed to them by a visual designer) and builds it in code. A front-end developer will use HTML for the structure of the site, CSS to dictate the visual styles and layout, and perhaps even some Javascript. For some small sites, front-end development may be the only kind of development that is needed for that project. For more complex projects, “back-end” development will come into play. Back-end development deals with the more advanced programming and interactions on the pages. A back-end web developer focuses on how a site works and how the customers get things done on it using certainly functionality. This could include working with code that interfaces with database or creating features like Ecommerce shopping cart that connect to online payment processors and more. Excellent web developers may know how to program CGI and scripts like PHP. They will also understand about how web forms work and how different software packages and API (application programming interfaces) can be used to connect those different packages. Many People Blur the Lines While some web professionals specialize or focus on certain areas, many of them blur the lines between different disciplines. They may be most comfortable working with visual designs using programs like Adobe Photoshop, but they may also know something about HTML and CSS and may be able to code some basic pages. Having this cross-knowledge is actually very helpful as it can make you much more marketable in the industry and better at what you do overall. A visual designer who understands how webpages are built will be better equipped to design those pages and experiences. Similarly, a web developer who has a grasp of the basics of design and visual communication can make smart choices as they code up pages and interactions for their project. Ultimately, whether you have this cross knowledge or not, when you apply for a job or look for someone to work on your site, you need to know what you’re looking for —web design or web development The skills you hire for will play an major role in the cost of what you will have to spend to get that work done. In many cases, design and front-end development for smaller, more straightforward sites will be much less (on an hourly basis) than hiring an advanced back-end coder. For larger sites and projects, you will actually be hiring teams that contain web professionals who cover all of these different disciplines. The Federal Government recently directed that the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) by the nation’s polytechnics be abolished. This directive by the FG has however attracted mixed reactions. While some are in support of this development going by the fact it will help resolve the HND-B.Sc discrimination, some lecturers and stake holders are of the opinion that this move will result in the mass sack of polytechnic lecturers as many of them may not have the qualifications to fit into the new system and many may not be able to improve their qualifications immediately due to constraints of time, age , finance and even unfavourable structures. According to the Acting Head, Mass Communication Department, UNILAG, Dr. Oluruntola Sunday, said that: the move by Federal Ministry of Education will not augur well as certain machineries ought to have been put in place before declaring the outright scrapping of HND by polytechnics. Another senior lecturer, Dr. Tayo Poopola lamented that the constant change of policies without getting people’s opinions has been the bane in the education sector. " Nigeria, who operate a democratic rule, ought to set agenda for public discussion before declaring a new policy. " He stated. It was garnered that a commercial bus carrying students of Federal University of Technology, Owerri was involved in a ghastly car accident today June 29, 2016 as they were heading to school from Owerri. The incident occurred along Port-harcout/Owerri Express way as the driver of the vehicle who obviously was driving at high speed was unfortunately hit by an oncoming heavy duty truck. An eye witness who spoke with our correspondent confirmed the incident and also gave an account of what happened. He said, "I was rushing to catch up with a meeting I fixed in school by 3pm. In fact if it was possible I would have flown. I entered a bus going to FUTO. Approaching a round about, I beckoned on the driver to slow down. As if I knew, a trailer was coming on the other lane, and before we knew what was happening the trailer pushed our vehicle one side, hitting my side(front of the bus). At first scenes, observing the way cultists (THIS
REFERS TO BOTH MALE & FEMALE CULT
GROUPS) operates by acts of terrorism,
burglary, kidnapping/embarrassing/abusing/
humiliating(e.t.c) people both in and off
campus without anyone daring to challenge
them or even help one who is challenged by
them could sometimes become a source of
temptation to belong (i.e. Join cultism). As a
result i have taken time to list this reasons why
you should NEVER EVER join any cult group
especially as a student. Keep in mind that once
you join any cult group it is almost impossible
to LEAVE and this always come with a lot of
consequences with most cases ending with
DEATH. So Here are some reasons why one
must REALLY THINK CAREFULLY before joining
any cult group.
1) YOUR FREEDOM RESTRICTED.
As a Jew (non-cultist) you can roam both in
and around school. You can visit any territory,
yes you can go anywhere you want to. At a
good time you can storm even the most
dreaded places around school like EKOSIDIN @
UNIBEN e.t.c. You only need to be valiant and
alert when going to such places. However as a
cultist certain areas are NO-GO, NO-TRESPASS.
Even in groups, they dare not visit such areas
openly without being coded(in order). Just see!
Even areas that's always lively and booming
with activities might be a NO-GO-AREA.
2) ACADEMIC DECLINE.
The sole aim of furthering one's education is to
attain knowledge that will be useful not just to
the student but to the whole community at
large. After gaining admission, many a student
anticipate for good results most likely a first
class or a strong 2.1 which can get them a
good job. Every responsible student dream and
look forward to a successful life after school
but involvement in cultism have and in most
times jeopardized such goals. Here's how.
Many a cultist spend large reasonable amount
of time smoking, drinking, partying and all sort
of wasteful lifestyle. As a result they have little
or no time to concentrate and read their books
(that's if they even have any). Even during
examination period they may not for once open
any book to read due to their many many
inconvenient activities. It's saddening because
most of them have sponsors who struggle to
pay their tuition fees. Little wonder many of
them end up as drop-outs and with bad results
at the end of the day. Then if they can't get a
job with their trash result, they go into robbery,
kidnapping (e.t.c). Then when caught, they
blame it on unemployment... click the link below to read more

If you are still confused about this Jamb new policy and implementation, please don’t be because everything has been explained in details Question 1 Please what did they mean by scrapping of POST-UTME and pegging the cutoff mark as 180? Answer What this policy actually means is that the FG have remove anything like University POST-UTME exam, so no school would be allowed to conduct any form of written examination except if there is a reverse of the statement by the FG. Question 2 I scored 180 in Jamb, what will I do? Answer If your score is 180 and you make two different choices when registering for Jamb, then you may be admitted. Your second choice may take you if and only if their cutoff mark is 180. So you need to pray for that. Question 3 I scored 200 and above, do I have the chance of getting admission?
