TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by glam12:
Hello house,

Good day every one!

I intend to apply to a UK Visa, I HAVE BEEN REFUSED UK VISA IN 2014
So i want to be on spot with this application.

But i have a situation i believe your experienced advise will help clarify

I want to travel to the UK in July for two reasons:
1.) A training that will be sponsored by my office (holding in bristol, UK)
2.) My brothers university graduation ceremony (holding in London, UK)

For no 1.) I would have the following documents to support my application:

-Letter of admission
-Invoice
-Letter of introduction from office stating sole sponsorship or the trip
-Employment letter
-Contract Agreement
-Payslip

For no 2.) I would have the following documents to support my application:

-Invitation letter from the university
-British passport data page
-Cover Letter from my brother sating he would be responsible for feeding and accomodation
-Bank Statement (proof of address and income)

I am married (Marriage certificate will be attached), but my husband does not intend to apply with me
earn a considerable income monthly (payslip),
I have travel history to only china and dubai (will attach photocopy of expired visa page)
I have been refused canada (twice), US (once), UK (once)

Please my Questions are :
1.) What class of visa should i apply for?
2.)Which of the reasons above is most appropriate to state as my reason of travel?
or do i state both plus supporting documents?
3.)What other documents or information should be added or removed to increase my chances of being granted visa?
4.)Also, i am yet to do a change of name since i am married, does it affect anytin?
5.)I will be attaching bank statement of about 800k balance, is it sufficient?
6.)what duration of visa should i apply for? cos I would be willing and able to afford application fee for as much as two years
7.)Also, i remember that in my uk visa application in 2014 i did not state that i had a brother or relative there (the agent advised me not to as he was not a citizen then), will this affect anything? or how do i address this in this application?

Any kind useful advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Time line
Submission 14/03/18
Collection 11/04/18
Decision: Refusal
Reason : (1) Not satisfied I would leave Canada @ the end of my stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
(2)Not satisfied I would leave Canada @ the end of my stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements.

Purpose of travel : Training/seminar for 2 weeks in montreal
Documents submitted were: Statement of account (salary account) with a bal of about 300k in the statement, payslip, hotel reservation, flight reservation, letter of introduction from my organisation stating that they would incure every financial expense to be incured for the training, letter of invitation and receipt/confirmation of payment from the training institution in montreal.
I have travel experience of dubai on the passport.
I was almost positive it would be granted cos the training fee already paid cost a whooping 5,200 US Dollars
I am married.
I am earn a regular moderate income.

Please house, What could be the reason for my denial?
I await your kind responses.
As i intend to apply again as training is for 28th may. what do you think?

So any idea on why the refusal as I was so sure in would be given.

Do you notice Processed Visas are released in batches?
Denied or Approved!!!
By 5th of April, A large Batch was released, and everyone started coming with their testimonies and Regrets.
So the point is, Many people complain of Delays, and the fact that their application has stayed like 6 years at the embassy.
Your application has not being forgotten, it is on track and will be attended to, The time frame is 35 Working days not 35 days from Mon-SUN.
When you visa Takes 35 working days before you get a mail, you are 76% sure it is Approved, when it Takes More days, It may be that t requires more confirmations, still you are in the 76% positives, when your visa Takes just 2 weeks of processing, or a Month, it is a 45% chance of getting approved, so expect you application to take a while.
I am not saying this is a perfect signature of Canadian Visa, but if you have this at the back of your mind, you will be on a more relaxed mood, still anything can go wrong or go right for you in any case, and there are some people whose visa is withheld until what they want to do has passed, still doesn't mean you will get a Rejection, am sure 70% still gets approved.

Keep the hope alive.
