[Continued]...I sat on the couch watching Sam move around the house. 'Wow, Sam is all grown now' I thought to myself in pleasant surprise. He was turning 20 this year.
"Here you go..." Sam approached and handed
me a glass of fruit juice and sat beside me as we began chatting; telling eachother about our lives and the fun moments we've experienced these past years. We spent most of the evening gisting, laughing and dancing to some of our favorite songs. And if you ask me, I was having the most fun filled birthday treat.

"Steph, I'll have to leave now, you know I'll be on call this week so you'll have to stay with your cousin this weekend" said my mum as she stood up and adjusted her handbag.

"Awwn, mom thanks for bringing me over today" I said as I stood up to give my mum a hug before walking her to the door. Just few minutes after my mom had left, Sam's dad returned from work and wished me a happy birthday before asking about my mom. And when I told him that she'd gone, he sighed, saying. "I thought I could make it in time to see her" He looked so tired and stressed out.

"Sam, make sure you prepare a room for your cousin to sleep" He said to Sam before turning around. Then he walked away for his bedroom down the corridor. And the next sound that followed was the shut of his room door. He'd retired to bed.

I and Sam were the only once still awake in the whole house. And besides, how could I go to bed early with all the excitement of seeing my best cousin?
We were still in the palour watching a movie when Sam said to me "You might have to sleep in my room throughout your stay here"

"Owk" I wore a smile and my response was brief. Then I teased him, saying. "buh hope u don't snore like u normally do?" playfully hitting
his shoulder.

"Ouch...No, no" He laughed, "I guess it's best if I sleep in the palour instead. The bed might not contain us both" Sam said with a light smile as he rocked his head backwards.

"Awwwn, when did this gentleman attitude start ehn" I mocked, using my fingers to tickle his tummy...

"Steph, y--you making... Steph" his words were incomplete as he giggled hard, trying to restrain my hands from tickling.

"okay, fine I'll think about it. fear fear girl. Just say you're afraid to sleep in a room all by yourself." He mocked playfully and shifted; almost as if protecting himself.

I laughed hard as he called me 'fear fear girl'.
"Ehen, so u think am afraid to sleep by myself" i kept giggling as I gently stood up from the couch.
Sam kept staring at me as I began to walk away. I could notice he was still looking, so I turned around "Sam, the way you're looking at me eh" I said with a soft smile.

"Yeah, uhm.. me?... No no..." He stammered nervously. "Just that you now look so beautiful and grown" he added shyly, clearing his
throat as he spoke.

"Thanks cuz" I blushed. "I want to take a quick shower before i sleep, Goodnight."

I had barely turned to leave when I noticed Sam stood up from the couch and began to approach me. My heart started racing, he looked determined and his gaze purposeful. Suddenly my palms began to sweat.

"Sam, what do..." before I could complete my sentence, Sam had already leaned forward and kissed me so tenderly my eyes went shut. I
was lost in the warmth of his lips as it sent tingling shivers down my spine.
I ran my hands up his bare chest and kissed him so deeply. Then I felt his arms wrap around my waist. And when his hands began moving down my waist did I realize what we were doing...
So I quickly pulled back to break the kiss.
"Sam... we... we shouldn't be doing this" I said faintly as I tried to catch my breath...[To Be Continued]

I knew I was pretty ever since I was a little girl; my mum always reminded me of that each time she made my hair. Now it was my birthday today and I was turning 18.
"Finally you're now an adult Steph" said my mum. She was fond of calling me Steph instead of Stephanie, and I always liked it when she did.

"Yes mum, so how are we celebrating it" i said as I turned around in excitement and fell on the fluffy couch in our palour.

"I was planning on taking you to your uncle's, he said it's been long you saw your cousin Sam" said my mum as she turned to look at me with a wide smile on her face.

My mum chuckled. "In some few hours. I just need to tidy some things before I take you there" Then she turned and walked into the kitchen, leaving me with the smiles beaming on my face. She knew I was excited. And truly I was. Seeing Sam after all these years might just be the best birthday surprise I could ever wish for. We were so close back in childhood; doing literally everything together. But I wonder if he was still the slender looking and play Sam I knew back then.

It was just few minutes past six in the evening when my mum and I arrived at Sam's house. I came out of the car and took out my bag pack since my mom said I might be spending a few days at my cousin's house.

'Ding dong, ding dong' the door bell rang twice. And as we stood outside, I could feel the butterflies in my tummy. How will I react after 6 years without seeing Sam? He must be tall now, or is he still as childish as he was? These thoughts kept running through my mind as we waited for someone to respond. And Just there, as I kept wondering, the door swung open...
"Stephanie!!" screamed Sam in surprise as he rushed forward to give me an unexpected hug. I could feel his broad chest lean so tightly on my bre*st as we hugged.

"It's been so so long Stephanie" he chuckled as he gently loosened the hug; taking a step back to examine me with a wide grin on his face.

"Yeah, it has... Look how big you are now" I teased back as I adjusted to pick up my bag laying beside me.

"oh, stop teasing me" Sam laughed. "you are now a lady o.. look at you" he added and immediately turned to welcome my mom.
"Aunty"

"Sam dear. How are you?" My mom smiled at him.

"I've been good aunty" he replied my mom curtly with a warm smile.
There was something oddly attractive about my cousin that kept my eyes glued on him as he spoke with my mom. It was his masculinity. I mean, there was a lot difference from the way he looked now from six years ago. He'd added in height, handsomeness, and even his voice was a little deepened.

"What about your dad, is he around?" My mom asked.

"No Aunty, it's just me and my mom at home. She's in the kitchen preparing dinner... But dad will be back soon" Sam answered and insisted on carrying my bag before ushering us into the house...[To Be Continued]

And shortly afterwards, my mom appeared in the dining room, holding a large tray of steaming bowl plates. She leveled it on the table and began serving my dad who immediately closed the newspaper and placed it at the far end of the table.

I was hungry for what my mom had just prepared. Plus, I will also need my energy for the chemistry test I was going to be writing this morning. I prepared hard for it, and I felt so ready.

"Thanks mom" I smiled the minute she placed a plate before me. Then I edged my chair closer and, looking down at food in the plates, the smile on my face instantly vanished.
