You still have not shown any written records of the 100 billion debt obi left.

So the world is waiting for conference center to host events in the east? grin grin grin grin

How many world conferences have taken place in Abuja in 4 years?

Talking about hotels. List 5 best hotels in Awka and post pictures of the roads leading to those hotels.

All your legacy projects are less than $100 million. So the investment obi attracted, will generate more money than the legacy projects.

It would have been better that obiano fixed those funds in a bank, than loot in the name of legacy project. The only thing viable there is the airport and still, it cannot generate enough money to clear the debt it atteacted, because it was an avenue to loot public funds.

Don't forget, the legacy projects were built from Obi's savings.

If peter obi wanted he can decide to build legacy projects. Build airport, conference center etc. Use them as an opportunity to loot the state dry, then hand over huge debt and legacy projects to obiano. Then we will know where obinao will get money to loot.

But obi invested in more stable instruments, yielding interested in foreign currency.

Attracted sure investments with regular demand. Made Anambra the single highest share holder in AB Inbev.

Thats what investment is all about. Not rubbish legacy projects, used for looting.
Please which politician campaigns with saving money in the bank, politicians campaign with building projects. If the role of govts were to save money then we dont really need Govs when we also have accountant general. If projects were not important, peter obi wont hurriedly build his next mall in abuja with out money while he couldn't complete the ones in Anambra.
Obiano understood the assignment thats why he will be talked about even 100 years from now, while everyone has forgotten the audio 75 billion except people like you.
Who will remind your kids obi left audio 75 billion? No one, but your kids will use Anambra Airport, ICC and when they ask who built the fantastic airport they will be told its Gov obiano. Thats legacy.
We never asked Obi to invest our money in his family beer business, not everyone drinks beer, he should have been impeached for that alone. Again look at the billions he left behind without a single project

All those legacy projects cant generate 10% of income from sabmiller and other dollar investments.

I will like to see records of the 100 billion debt you claim obi left.

I dont recall when the world had a conference in Eastern state. So the state will end up spending more to maintain a center that might never be used.

Substandard flyover that cant carry heavy trucks.

Lets see how much awka stadium generates.

Even obiano admitted he used obi's savings for infrastructure. Obi that had less IGR, did more roads, and saved more.
You have refused to learn, Obi left over 100 billion debt without a single legacy and asset yielding project for Obiano, Obiano still left over 100 billion debt with assets like Anambra Airport that will still be yielding income for even many governors after Soludo. While obi claim he left audio 75 billion for Obiano, Obiano left visible assets for Anambra not just Soludo.
The world never had a conference in eastern state because there was no state of the art conference center to host them after landing in an airport with the longest runway in Nigeria. Obiano has fixed that so expect conferences soon.
As for Awka city stadium, it is already home to rangers FC and you should know they will pay Anambra Govt to use the facility, they will lodge in hotels, officials will lodge, even fans, hotels will boom, thats how economies are stimulated not saving money in the bank

Anambra Finances: Soludo has taken a bold step
For every trend, situation and development, we all have our personal opinions and we are all entitled to them.
Thus, this is just my opinion, my entitlement and it is a long note!
Yesterday, the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo said (as reposted by my dear brother, Mazi Ejimofor Opara);
"The audited account of Anambra State as at 31st December, 2021 is published, anybody can access it. You can get it, you see our assets, liabilities and so on. And then, of course, as at the last date. What you now have to do is between the audited account as of the end of the year and as at the day of handover. You know if there were further liabilities and all of that.
"But, in terms of the audited account certified and published already, yea, everybody knows that the State's finances are not quite robust to put it mildly. The debt probably is in the range of hundred and something billion. In terms of debt. And then, cash, from what I saw in the end of it, a few hundred millions. Say 300 to 400 million Naira.
"That's what the state has, I mean that's the base. But we are still going to have the reconciliations and all the accounts from January to the date that we took over and would put it out there"
End of quote!
Without minding the sensations, misinformation and cruise-calls & subs that emanated from these clearly stated words of our dear Governor which were obviously used by mischievous many to mock the State Government especially Chief Willie Obiano and his family, to trend or simply to join the cruise;
I want to point out 5 major takeaways in the revelation made by Prof Soludo:
1. Anambra State Government Cash at hand is 300 to 400 million;
2. Anambra State debt is hundred and something billion... less than 200bn;
3. Anambra State finances is not robust;
4. The Anambra State audited account is published and anyone can access and assess it;
5. Reconciliation of accounts will still be done to actuate the state of accounts as at March 17, 2022 and that will be published;
If you understand any other thing aside these 5 pointers, then you either misconstrue the lucid words of Prof Soludo or deliberately using the moment to throw punches and catch cruise.
As Onye Anambra, who is a bit aware of how Obiano started and some of the challenges faced, I tell you this:
Obiano has written his name on gold, no matter what anyone thinks about it and no amount of insults or bickering can alter that unerasable fact.
He is a man who governed Anambra State in a time our dear country faced recession twice and he refused taking bailout funds from the Federal Government;
Yet, he was able to meet all the obligations of running the government, met major needs of the people, paid workers salaries, brought back night life, catalysed lots of new ventures, opened up many villages, lit up Anambra State, gave youths the platform to excel, made Anambra the safest State (before the recent dip in security), gave us identity to pride with, etc;
And aside all these, Obiano will ever be remembered for the following legacies:
He has at least one Infrastructural project bearing his name in all the 181 communities in Anambra State (grassroots legacy projects through the Community Choose-Your-Project Initiative);
He built the International Airport which is already generating revenue;
He built the International Convention Center which is expected to stimulate a chain of revenue generating activities;
He built the Awka City Stadium which is already hosting National League games with Rangers of Enugu presently using it as their home soil;
He built the 3 flyovers in Awka which changed the skyline of the State's Capital in addition to 13 other bridges including the longest bridge in South East Nigeria;
He opened up the agro-value chain making ndi Anambra major food producers and wealth creators as farmers, off takers, marketers, etc;
He nurtured and expanded Digital Entrepreneurship making a lot of ndi Anambra especially the youths appreciate and gainfully utilise the treasures in the Digital Space;
Amongst many others!
The only crime Obiano committed is not doing all that we wished for especially in areas of road construction & touts menace... He didn't construct or maintain as much as we wished!
You see this very crime? It will be committed by all as no leader will ever do all!
That said, no human is perfect... So, Obiano had his flaws, too!
But we are sober and some feeling pathetic because we'd prefer to dwel only on that area he "failed" without thanking God for the many areas he did amazingly well;
Some are even using this opportunity to once again tag their fellow Social Media Players as "erats"; isn't that very low?
The interesting thing about name-calling is that, when a player repeatedly calls another player an idiot, the audience will begin to believe that players are also known as idiots including the player that thinks his colleague is an idiot.
Bikonu brethren, it's time to face the challenges of today:
Chief Willie Obiano has come and gone, he has done his best and has moved on;
If for nothing, he believed in Prof Soludo and against all odds, stood by him to be his successor, fully convinced that Mr Governor will take Anambra to a greater height.
It's Obiano's call to clear himself with EFCC and many of us believe that he will do so and come out stronger, just as required by law; that's why you see #IStandWithWillie or #IStandWithObiano, here and there.
But if you are too disturbed that you must dwel on what Prof Soludo said yesterday, then continue but show decorum and exhibit intelligence by noting that:
5. A reconciled account will be published later to confirm the actual status of the State's Account as at March 17, 2022 that our dear governor took over;
By then, we will know all the accessible funds and not only cash available, we will know the actual debt figure as well as the liabilities owed the contractors for projects already awarded.
This is normal, just like Obiano inherited N75bn in cash and investment with only N9bn as accessible funds as at then and with over N108bn in liabilities owed the contractors for projects already awarded.
Then we will also know if the investments that Obiano inherited are no longer there, both the bonds and companies.
4. You can look for the audited account of Anambra State to be rightly informed before casting aspersions on the State Government and its leadership, both former and present;
3. Due to the National cum global economic crisis, no State in Nigeria has a robust financial... In fact, Anambra State is one of the healthiest. 4th best economy in Nigeria and the number in South East;
2. Anambra State Debt is less than N120bn according to the recent release by Debt Management Office and that's when you combine but the domestic debt of N55bn and the foreign debt of $110m (@ N560 per Dollar)
Only 5 States are owning less than Anambra out of 36 States in Nigeria plus FCT; and in South East, other States except Ebonyi owe much more than Anambra.
Again, we will know how the debts were incurred and when... Are they all new debts under Obiano are there old debts and unpaid counterpart funds that have been accumulating?
1. The cash at hand of 300 to 400 million could increase or decrease after careful mop up of all MDAs to certify their balances.
It's that simple!
I took time to write this not to defend anyone but to give us direction and encourage healthy and quality engagement by rightly informing many of us;
...That's why I tried using the layman's language!
Personally, I look at the positives in what Prof Soludo said and that's why I reiterate that he has taken a bold step by giving a hint of Anambra Finances.
This revelation of his, will put an end or at least slow down the opposition who are doing everything possible to instigate a rift between him and his predecessor;
Which they will start by causing a cold war amongst APGA Digi-Family and dividing past and present political appointees into "Obiano People and Soludo People";
They do not come with love for anyone or our dear State... They are pained and are doing so much to disintegrate the APGA family even if it means putting the name of our dear State in the mud.
Again, the revelation by Prof Soludo has killed the fake news by the opposition that Anambra has a debt of over N400bn instead of the less than N120bn released by DMO;
This revelation has also made it impossible for us to have years long bitter argument over the state of Anambra Finances like we had during the last regime.
For 8 years that Obiano was the Governor of Anambra State, he faced a coordinated attack on his person, his family, his administration and on anyone who dared to support him;
Those who led the attacks have today claimed to be watchdogs who were only criticising and shouting against bad governance... They're now denigrating those who stood for the State and defending their ill-fated gruesome war; hmmm!
May such people and such attacks not be faced by our dear Governor, may we all unite to support Prof Soludo;
APGA has been a blessing to ndi Anambra through the Obi-Obiano and now Soludo transition... Let's not lose this fact!
Today we have:
First: Obi who handed over Savings;
Second: Obiano handing over less than N120bn debt + revenue generating Airport, ICC, Stadium, etc;
Third: Soludo who will hand over mega legacy projects and a very robust finance!
Gentlemen, let's rejoice... A better future is for a better ndi Anambra!
NB: I have my reservations about Obiano's administration and I have my opinions on why Akpokuedike "failed" in some areas but I don't have to post them here just to appear woke and make you happy... I make use of internal communication to air such views as long as such channel is open and effective!
The bottom line is that;
Soludo Solution Is HERE... Let's Support HIM!
I Am Engr Ifeanyi ANIAGOH... And I'm Proudly Onye Anambra!!

[s]Obiano did nothing.. Obiano left our roads in sorry state..Obiano is very stupid.. Look at Onitsha today..Obiano can not even construct roads..beautify and plant flowers..clean the roads and fight against unnecessary dumping of refuse by people.. Just small touch to make city great and attractive.. Onitsha have been left to be city of Chaos for along. But it may have a new look as soludo promised to do something about it. Obiano must not go scot free...efcc should do the needful. Black people are very far to development. Very Wicked. What will it take a Governor to beautify roads,clean them,reconstruct and mark the roads..create law to tackle reckless dumping of refuse..... both the commissioner for environment and the Governor must be called this name. Fools..is high time they Begin to offer this corrupt politicians eternal life in prison so that they will hv fear for once.[/s].
You idiots should shut up for once, Obiano is not the first Governor of Anambra and yet was expected to fix all Anambra problems Overnight. He has played his part, invested in many revenue generating assets that will boost the state revenue and provide more funds for the state to be able to afford good roads and other quality projects, again nothing will come out from the EFCC witch hunt as he served the state very well. You losers who dont understand governance need to shut up. And Onitsha is not the only city in Anambra

There is no criminal worse than Obi that stole us dry, stole and kept our money in Pandora accounts overseas with his daughters name, stole over 250 million cash, stole LG funds without any grassroot project. A theif deceiving himself with presidency. Anambra will pray to witness many more Obiano not the thief Obi that was stealing our IGR and declaring 500 million

But Willie was arrested the same day he left office.

Obiano wasnt the one that was mentioned in the pandora case stashing Anambra money abroad, he was not the one that his aide was caught with 250 million Anambra money in Lagos about to ship abroad, wasnt the one that built next mall in Abuja. So EFCC is just an election loss witch hunt as we all know. Nothing will come out of it. Obiano has been bailed since anyway

Obiano comfirmed he sold dollars from Obi's investment. And promised to put it back, only to leave an empty treasury with debt.

Both Obiano and victor umeh confirmed his savings . The videos are out there.
Obiano and umeh confirmed Obi left only 9 billion and over 124 billion debt without a single legacy project. Do you know Anambra is now an oil producing state courtsey of Obiano?
Soludo confirmed Obiano left some money even after he left numerous dollar yielding projects scattered across the state. Peter obi was the servant with no talent that buried his money.

Audi that obiano appended his signature to? But employed 6000 and left money for their salary?

Doctors go on strike all over the state, but he built hospital. Upgraded health centers.

Built university and upgraded standard of education.

Obiano and his legacy project, is the first governor that attempted to flee Nigeria the same day he handed over.

Any credit you wish to give obiano, must first go to peter obi. Because obiano achieved it through obi's savings.
Obiano never appended anything, why must you take after Obi in lies. So he left money for 6000 he employed, left money for his abandoned projects, are they part of the audio 75 billion
Oh doctors go on strike for over one year all over the world.. Accept Obi was a failure stop deceiving yourself. he built no univeristy no nothing after 8 years

If you are talking about who stepped on toes its peter obi. Thats why he was able to save.

Obiano had many friends because he was squandering obi's savings.

Today he is there alone.[/s]
obi is walking free because he's a lightweight politician, who is afraid of a politician that cant win his own polling unit. Obiano on the other hand dared the Fed Govt, ruthless malami, arthur eze etc Let EFCC publish his corruption case after 5 days now. Again if Obi is walking free after leaving behind audio 75 billion and over 100 billion debt, pandora loot, 250 million loot, next mall loot then Obiano is a saint that has nothing to worry about

What obiano left only debt with substandard over bloated legacy project that will still cost the state more money to maintain, while waiting for the world to host international conference in Anambra[/s].
hahaha, people are already asking peter obi why claimed to leave audio money while he allowed doctors go on strike for over one year. He never increased workers salaries nor promoted workers for 8 years as governor. But he left audio money behind and billions in debt. Very fraudulent.

[s]The former Managing Director of Diamond Bank, Dr. Alex Otti, has cleared the air of doubts in the minds of cynics who believe that the N75 billion savings the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, left for the State was a hoax.

Otti, in a statement, praised Peter Obi for his financial prudence which enabled him to save up N75 billion in both local and foreign currencies for Anambra State as a governor before leaving office. According to him, the dollar component of the savings is now worth over N95 billion.

Otti explained that it was through a high level of managerial ability that Peter Obi was able to achieve a great financial feat ‘in a state that was reputed to have been owing civil servants and pensioners’, by clearing off all debts inherited from his predecessor and still left behind a fortune for his successor.

COVID 19: Anambra Discovers 4 New Ventilators Procured By Peter Obi’s Govt

Confirming the N75 billion savings, Otti, who was the Chairman of Diamond Bank, one of the banks where the money was domiciled, stated again, as he had done many times before, that Peter Obi left a whopping N75 billion for the future generation of the state.

Speaking on the Dollar component of the savings, he said: “Like yours truly had done in the past, one can attest to the fact that some $155million was invested in the tier two capital of three Nigerian banks with maturities of about 5 years at interest rates of up to 9% per annum to the credit of the State.

As at the time the investments were made, the Naira equivalent of the funds was about N25b. If those funds were rolled over at maturity in 2019, they would be worth about N62b today. If interest is assumed to remain at 9% for the past 6 years, an additional N33.5b would have accrued to bring the present value of the investments to over N95b. This is one of the advantages of prudence and financial literacy”, Otti wrote.

Buhari Warns Governors Over Judiciary & Legislative Order

Otti, who said Peter Obi successfully cut off profligacies in governance, described Peter Obi as ‘one of the few leaders of the country that has his head properly screwed on his neck,’ noting that ‘in truth he is a true example of excellent leadership and accountability in today’s world where such attributes are in very short supply’.

Otti opined that it was the financial imprudence and lack of savings culture experienced at different levels of government that has almost crippled the nation after few months of lockdown. He therefore urged political leaders and public office holders to borrow a leaf from Obi’s prudence, financial responsibility and savings culture in their public and private lives.

It would be recalled that Peter Obi won the award of “Thisday Governor of the Decade.”

How about this from the horses mouth...lmao. Otondo[/s].
And Alex Otti didnt say this until he was refused APGA chairmanship and defected to APC.

[s]Obi left debt and cash and investments that could offset the debt.

Interest from dollar investments can pay off debt without touching capital.

All the things u listed as income generation is not up to $100 million.

Obi attracted over $200 million in investment.

So the income generation and projects u listed can't pay 10% of the debt in 8 years of soludo's tenure.

Lets not forget, 80% of the funds obiano used came from obi's savings. He had to take extra loan after squandering.[/s]
Peter obi also plunged the state into debt without any single legacy project unlike Willie. Obiano worked with his own IGR. 3 billion from Obi's 500 million

He left 50 billion according to you, but soludu said he didn't leave up to half a billion. Go and sleep, your Obaino Is a failure
Anambra has always been in debt, now Obiano left Anambra in debt after leaving several income generating assets, peter obi left anambra in debt without a single asset. He couldnt even complete the malls he was building for the state while he started his own mall in Abuja and completed it as governor

Go and see the debt owed by other oil producing states. Even the revenue that will come from the oil airport etc has already been squandered by debt.

Is Nigeria not an oil producing country? Where are we today?

Doesn't Nigeria have several airports and conference centers? Where r we today as a nation?

80% of our income goes to servicing debt and the 20% can't pay salaries.

Thats the same condition obiano has left Anambra state.
Apart from leaving income generating assets Obiano also left an IGR of over 1000% from what he met it. Governance is about projects not debts ok?

Can you tell us the practical things obiano did to achieve that ?, The fact is that the good road nertworks and trust people have in Peter Obi especially anambrarians made them to start bringing their investments home and since it started under Peter Obi it continued under Willie or can you tell any manufacturing company that came into anambra during Willie that created direct jobs
So now you want to transfer Obiano achievements to Obi and not what you claim are his failures? It doesnt work that way sorry

Legacy project is for gullible ones. A governor loots your treasury dry. Deprives you of basic amenities, then dumps an elephant project and massive debt on you, then call it legacy project.

Obi left 2 billion local debt and about 30 billion foreign debt.

His investment, cash left behind and interest cancels the debt. So it can be said that obi left Anambra state with no debt and a positive balance.

Obiano left over 50 billion local and over 100 million foreign, no investment, no savings and an elephant project for Anambra.

look at how you are deceiving your self, Obiano left Anambra an oil producing state, Airport, ICC that will generate more funds for the state forever. Stop making noise and list the Obi projects. You have gone from saying he left no debt to justifying his debt. You never see anything grin

Oga, you are all alone in your Peter Obi's hate....lol

Replay Soludo's Arise TV interview and you will see the common Anambra praising Peter Obi ,still.

Now ,about Obiano; why did they stopped lorries from plying the fly over ? Is the bridge shaky and unstable? Why is the airport falling apart not a month after completion? Why was the ICC uncompleted before opening for use? Where is Anambra money ? According to Soludo , we have about 300 million left while our former governor tried to run away from the "paradise" he claimed he built.

When Obi left of he left behind an investment in the neighborhood of over 75 billion which was verifiable but today we are talking about a balance of a paltry 300 million while our ex governor tried to run off to America, a well organized and enviable society which he couldn't deliver to Ndi Anambra.

Let him stay in efcc custody and give account on how the state funds were depleted. One of his commissioner from Aguleri also acquired a very expensive house in Tennessee, Tx. These people must account for every penny.[/s]
Why didnt the video play out in elections where they refused to vote Obi and his candidates twice? A simple question you and your likes have failed to answer, even with the video, if Peter Obi runs against obiano, Obiano will still defeat him in his own LGA again and again. The other nonsense you said are not even worth responding to.

[s]Dey mumu yourself, go and watch soludu interview with arise news. Obiano left 300m Naira, with 100billion debt. Audio IGR just like that of Ogun state. You must think you are arguing with your village people[/s]
I gave you facts, either you prove them wrong or you shut up. You call the IGR audio but the fake money obi left behind is not audio. Ewu
