There is no condition that he must pay the entire tuition fee before the visa is approved. Unless there is a condition by the school to pay a non refundable fee, which must be met before submitting your application. You must be able to demonstrate that you have the balance tuition, living expenses and others in your bank balance.

There’s a condition to pay the complete first year tuition for any program whose duration is more than a year.

If you really have the money, why not just pay it? Also IRCC plans to approve only 155,000 new student visas. That includes all countries. They also plan to prioritize students going going to a university. So if you must submit your application, try your best to put together a foolproof application unless the money is lamba

Also the person isn’t being completely open. They have the refusal reason and the ODN.

He should pay complete tuition if he hasn’t yet. No sense in having all this money and not showing enough financial commitment.

Your passport is out. It takes less than 2 weeks to come out when you apply from Benin.

Wow!!!! so this is the new scam now. I was able to confirm and the person said he thought my mother inlaw knew he was an agent. These vfs guys are criminals cos why are they referring people to agents outside.

The Manager is the main culprit. They should arrest him immediately

I reported VFS to IRCC.
The VFS manager called me to apologize

He pretended like he didn’t know anything about it and it was a new staff that just got employed that made the “error” and he will correct her

I’m not a fool, he is in on it.

That’s the way they generate their own personal money in the office

I reported to VFS too. They were asking me the name of the staff, whereas, none of them was wearing ID. The manager and everyone at VFS Lagos is part of the scam.

I wish we could all come together and report this scam/ extortion to IRCC or the Embassy. ALL the staff at Vfs Lagos are hardened criminals.

Hello Everyone. I'm a bit confused cos ive not heard this before. I applied for visitor visa for my mother inlaw. She was denied twice and eventually accepted at the 3rd time. Now my mother inlaw went to submit her passport in lagos which is where she did her biometrics. She told me she was asked if her visa has been denied before which she said yes. She was told she would pay N38,800 because of that. Then again she was told she would pay another N25,500 for visa transmission fee and digital transmission haulage. I was like what is all this Normally what is their business with visa refusal and why are they charging for it? Also why are they asking for transmission fee. I know you pay transmission fee when you submit your passport to a different country than where you did your biometrics. As far as I'm concerned she has been scammed by the vfs guys. She also received a paper for a "dihsxpress" which is supposed to be a courier company that would transfer her passport even though she didn't request courier service. Intried searching for the company but their website is blocked and no other info on them. Any ideas guys.

They did the same thing to me. It’s the Vfs people who liaise with the criminal courier company. Not only do they scam unsuspecting people, they also delay the passport transmission process.

My ward’s study was refused on a quite flimsy ground but good thing that can be easily addressed but of course she will miss a semester. GCMS showed RROC as the primary processing office while Nairobi was secondary. If most study permits are now being processed by RROC that is usually slow, then it’s going to be tough for most applicants going forward.

So sorry to hear that . For RROC, you have to constantly bombard them with emails else, they may take over 10weeks with your application.

I got admission into one of the colleges in Canada. I want to start my study permit application. I'm kinda confused on the documents to upload on my Client information. Secondly, I have my employment letters and confirmation letter of employment. Is there any need for Reference letter? And lastly, my full tuition fee is $18,700cad, Room and Board I filled $12k, Other $12k and funds available for my stay $43k. Hope I'm not making a mistake, can someone please put me through. You need to visit IRCC website and check the living expenses requirement. It is now above 22kcad for a single applicant.

Assuming your course is for one year and tuition is 18,700$, you need to show that you have at least a total of 41,700$ which is less than you have so you’re good. Just enter the correct values

My wife and I submitted our application for a study permit and OWP respectively in May. She completed her biometrics in the last week of May and I did mine first week of June. Since then, we haven’t received any updates from IRCC.

Please , is anyone else experiencing the same delay?

Her school resumes on the 8th of Sept and we already paid one year tuition fees.

Call the help center. The process has been outlined already. Apply for her gcms notes if you haven’t already. I suspect the processing center is RROC as they are known for being slow with study permits.
