Government or Private citizens?
Private citizens right?
But when it comes to security and actual country economy they insist government must be in charge. The economy is not a business and can't be run as one. |

Righteousness2: Personally, When it comes to Ukraine and Russia and the side I am on,
My side is GOD'S WORD and HIS PLANS. My Bible clearly states in Ezekiel 38 and 39 that in the latter days, Russia will come against ISRAEL. GOD says to their leader, Gog, that HE is against him.
For Gog to be strong enough to make the move against ISRAEL, he needs to win on other fronts and wait patiently for America’s demise.
In other words- nothing that I see today surprises me! SMH |

If it was a POS transaction and the account identity is unclear, involve the police before returning the money to any account provided by the person. This is bad advice. How you go advice person to enter police net just like that. If you go police station, you must drop money. The smart thing to do is to go to your bank and tell them to reserve the transaction. |

Westman001:
You still need more maturity in terms of movies rating then.
Hateful Eight was a top-notch western genre movie. There was no boring moment. Better storyline than Conclave. Got fascinated by it from the beginning and still had a second watch later. You can't compare the two. And I'm sure it has a better rating than Conclave on all rating site.
Just so you know, Westman01 is not an anime watcher. No matter how highly rated it is. Even if it receive Oscar. I just can't see myself watching animation.
That was funny anyways with how you tag movie watchers in respect to the movies they watch. I'd give you that. shey you know say movie rating na subjective something? some people genuinely enjoy dialogue heavy movies, with great atmosphere, acting and cinematography. |

Hijack 93
This movie personifies everything that is wrong with the Nigerian movie industry. It is bland, unimaginative, uninspired, and a complete waste of time.
Set in 1993, Hijack 93 fails to transport you to that time period. Without the title explicitly telling you the year, you'd never guess it. The costumes, the buildings, the overall aesthetic—all of it feels modern. It's as if no effort was made to authentically recreate the era. It’s clear that no care was given to any of the finer details.
The acting ranges from dull to downright atrocious. The performances feel forced, and the film never quite comes together to form a coherent story. Plot points are introduced and then completely abandoned without any resolution. The movie feels like it’s going nowhere, and by the end, you’re left wondering what, exactly, you’ve just watched.
Even more frustrating is the film's portrayal of the Nigerian public’s reaction to the events on the aircraft. The way it’s clumsily shoehorned into the narrative constantly had me rolling my eyes. It’s poorly executed and lacks any real emotional depth.
To make matters worse, this is based on a true story. The fact that we can’t even tell it in an engaging or competent way is disappointing. If Hollywood were to step in and produce this, people would likely complain about the accents. But frankly, I’d prefer the accents to be off if it meant the movie was at least technically competent.

opezi: Good day everyone
I want to learn french from scratch with hopes of writing TCF next year.
Any advice on where to start from, do I necessarily need to go to a training school like alliance francaise.
Any groups I can join as well as resources will be appreciated. I've been learning French on and off with many different methods. I've tried Duolingo, language transfer, French with Michele Tomas, Bussu etc I think I'm still in A1 but I know a bunch of things and my knowledge of them is very disjointed. I decided to take things methodologically. I've paid for an online class and will begin on tomorrow. I've be doing a lot of reading in my own in order to advance quickly. My goal is to get to B2 by January. |

@OP, there is no way to calculate how much you power you use at this point, your best bet is to go get your own meter and register it in your name. This becomes yours and you can replicate it if/when you move out. You don't even need the landlords permission for this Meters don't work like this. You can't remove a meter that has been registered in one residence and put it in another residence. |

I saw a banner sometime ago about a program organized by the International Languages Department of UNIBEN that involved learning French in 3 months. I reached out to the number on the banner, and she told me to register on the UNIBEN website and then come to the department to open a file. However, I've been browsing the UNIBEN website, and I don't see any mention of the program or how to register or make payment. Has anyone here heard about the program? |

NaijaMemes: I'm happy to see that many of my fellow Nairalanders agree that it is not everything Hollywood should adapt. Something so deep and cultural like THINGS FALL APART should be done by someone who understands the culture deeply.
There is always a difference between someone who experienced a culture first hand and someone who experienced it from afar overseas.
Nice Lol. I don't agree with this sentiment 1. Things Fall apart already has a Nigerian adaption. It was a long time ago and I don't remember it very well, but a Nigerian adaption already exist. 2. The job of a actor is to interpret a script and bring it to life. The heavy lifting has already been done by Achebe. A good actor should be able to research and bring a character to life. If he has to live through an experience in order to act it out, then that person is a bad actor. 3. You don't need first hand experience to ''understands the culture deeply''. Most Nigerians are not familiar with pre-colonial Nigeria and anything they know about it, is from what they read or what the heard from a 3rd party. 4. The Nigerian movie industry seems to be mostly disinterested in telling pre-colonial stories or adaption of classic Nigerian literature. If Hollywood has to undertake this task for them, then the will make to to appeal to a a very broad audience. And one of the easiest ways of doing this is by hiring established actors who are households names. There will be people who will see a movie/series because Idris Alba is in it and not because they have any particular interest in the clash of ideologies that the coming of the white man to eastern Nigeria brought. 5. Idris Alba already has a solid repertoire of playing Africans characters. His performance in Beast of No Nation and Sometimes in April were both solid. Yes his accent will be off in the new movie, but I don't think it will ruin the movie. |

So much hypocrisy in being partisan. In this case, it's Nigerians. A lot of Nigerians who don't care about Edo politics or are ambivalent about politics in general are comdemming him too |
