The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that more than 5,000 buildings across Israel have been damaged or destroyed as a result of the war with Iran, with the damage recorded since February 28.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Israeli attacks on Lebanon constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, warning that continued attacks would render ongoing ceasefire negotiations meaningless.

Pezeshkian also reaffirmed Iran’s political and moral commitment to Lebanon, stressing that Iran will not abandon the Lebanese people amid continued Israeli escalation.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said on ‌Thursday that Israeli strikes on Lebanon violate the ceasefire agreement ⁠and would render negotiations meaningless.

Pezeshkian said Iran would not abandon the Lebanese people.

His comments come after ‌Israel carried ⁠out its heaviest strikes on Lebanon since the ⁠conflict with Hezbollah broke out last ⁠month, killing more than ⁠250 people on Wednesday.

“We sent guns, a lot of guns; they were supposed to go to the people so they could fight back against these thugs,” Trump told reporters while at a White House Easter event.

“You know what happened? The people that they sent them to kept them,” Trump went on, adding: “So I’m very upset with a certain group of people, and they’re going to pay a big price for that.”


Trump did not give details about who he was accusing of taking the US weapons.

However, on Sunday, Trump was quoted as saying by a Fox News reporter that he blamed Kurdish intermediaries for having taken weapons destined for Iranian dissidents.

An Iranian drone strike on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait overnight injured 15 American personnel, according to a report Monday.

CBS News, citing two US officials, said most of those injured have since returned to duty.

The air base, located roughly 37 kilometers (23 miles) from the Iraqi border, is a key hub for US operations in the region.

Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. It has also restricted the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

Israeli rescue services said Monday that the bodies of four missing people had been recovered from the rubble of a residential building in the city of Haifa, after it was struck by an Iranian missile the previous day.
