Lol, I won't call that travel history. But, I visited India and Dubai about 14 years ago. I've also been to SA, and the normal Ghana, Togo, etc, West African countries. But again, none of them has been in the last 5 years.

I'm a software engineer with 3+ years of experience
COA is $30k (no funding) - (I tried securing funding, but I didn't get it)
I can sponsor myself, but I would also like to add my mum as a sponsor. So we will be joint sponsors.

What has the experience of people with my kind of profile been?

I've seen fully funded guys denied, but I've not seen much of those that even went without funding. I can actually afford the education because I will only be paying tuition and fees. Accommodation is sort of covered. But again, even with being genuine what do you think I should do ?

Looking to allow apply again but now without my spouse and firming up on my hometies

None of my answers indicated home ties. I think that was the issue.

One of the so called agents on this forum disguising as contributor actually frustrated me. I had to sit myself down what exactly is my problem that I will allow some semi illiterate scam me. I differed my admission and started the process myself, with tips I get here and there on this forum (who is genuine in assisting you will likely not tell you to chat him privately).

I didn't do any Mock or study any potential question and answer (no 2 applications are the same).

At the end of the day, all went well to His glory.

You can always fill a new DS-160 to correlate with your interview location. In my case, I'd selected Lagos when filling my initial DS-160 but I was only able to get a date in Abuja. So I filled a new DS-160 selecting Abuja. Then I created a ticket on AVITS (the visa portal) and asked them to link my new DS-160 to my visa application while attaching my new DS-160 confirmation that shows Abuja. They did and I printed new Visa appointment confirmation.

I was denied a visa for an F1. I have a deficit of $9K. I used a US company in my DS-160, which I think was a red flag.

However, I want to fill out a new DS-160. Should I remove the employer or move the company to a previous employer since I already added them to my DS-160?

Hello.
You are definitely doing something wrong. Those two (2) aforementioned debit/credit cards are always effective except if there is something funny (owners- mismatch info).

** Also, you saying the option of paying with local currency is not working actually affirmed that you' re doing something wrong.

** Go and fill ds-160 completely and submit. Then go back to your profile (avits) and cancel pending appointment. After that you should start afresh and choose bank deposit (physical appearance in the bank) instead of card payment.

** If you are still not getting it then seek the assistance of an experienced person. 👍

Good Evening everyone,
Please I need your opinions.
I got admitted into MTU and IIT
No funding for MTU however I was able to secure a 40k loan with Mpower.
While IIT gave me 25k scholarship.
Someone is suggesting I go with MTU since the loan will cover tuition and living expenses that way I will be able to get some sort of funds for rent and other expenses.
I'll like people who are attending or have attended IIT to help shed more light on prospects of securing jobs to help cushion living expenses.
