@ Harakari It doesn't matter your Christian background: that does not mean anything when it comes to encountering God. God speaks to me in different ways: 1. The Bible 2. People 3. Dreams and Visions 4. Revelation 5. Truance 6. Audible Voice and 7. Word of Knowledge. There are few events of the past that God has said to me which have happened. I knew you were going to say you do not believe that was why I didn't want to bother with you in the first place. Like I said before: it's your own 'cup of tea' if you were brought up in the 'way' by your parents and you have derailed from it: it's your own problem. You have God to answer to. |
@ Harakiri Here is your reply: I apologise if I mis-understood your motives for asking me. It's just that I'm only here to share my experiences with those who are truly curious to know if it's true or not. I have quite a few to share. Most of my encounters have been angelic visits. They happen through dreams and visions. God sends His angels to His children (Christians) for specific purposes: to minister to them and give them specific messages either for themselves or for other people. Heberews 1 vs 14 tells us: "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation". In my own case God has sent His angels to me (different angels ) to tell me about my calling as a minister of God and also to give me specific messages for the church I attend in particular and also for people I know (family members and friends). One of the encounters I've had: this one was a scary one because of the magnitude of the power of the encounter. I knew this was Jesus because of the power and glory of God surrounding Him. In this vision (night time while asleep) I found myself in a room ( not my room where I sleep in my house here in London) it was actually the house where I lived as a child in Nigeria. While I was sleeping in this vision. Suddenly a man appeared in the room: the whole room was filled with a cloud of smoke and there was the power and glory of God emanating from around His presence. I opened my eyes and as I turned to see what was going on in the room: my whole body became so weak that I could not even move or speak: this was because the power and glory of God paralysed me. I really feel sorry for those who joke with God. This experience I had showed me how powerful God is. As I was lying there unable to move, suddenly my body began to lift up in the air, all by itself just right in front of the Him, I was lifted by the power of God up to about 5 feet in the air as I turned to looked at the being (Jesus) who was standing in front of me; I could not see His face because it was so bright and there was power and glory emanating from Him. Then my body began to go back down slowly until it reached my bed where I was lying: then I woke up. It was the most awesome experience I have had in my life. This particular type of encounter happened to Daniel in the bible, in the book of Daniel chapter 10! I'll advise you to read the whole chapter to get additional understanding! God bless! |
@ Bece, Thanks for your request: I have quite a few to share. Most of my encounters have been angelic visits. They happen through dreams and visions as you'll see in the list I posted before. God sends His angels to His children (Christians) for specific purposes: to minister to them and give them specific messages either for themselves or for other people. Heberews 1 vs 14 tells us: "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation". I opened my eyes and as I turned to see what was going on in the room: my whole body became so weak that I could not even move or speak: this was because the power and glory of God paralysed me. I tell you dear sister, I really feel sorry for those who joke with God. This experience I had showed me how powerful God is. As I was lying there unable to move, suddenly my body began to lift up in the air, all by itself just right in front of Him, I was lifted by the power of God up to about 5 feet in the air as I turned to looked at the being (Jesus) who was standing in front of me; I could not see His face because it was so bright and there was power and glory emanating from Him. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about hearing from God or if you want to hear more about my encounters let me know. God bless! |
@ Harakiri You are ready for an arguement! I'll post up one of my encounters for you in a few minutes. Whether you choose to believe it or not it's your own 'cup of tea' I'm not even sure you are a Christian: so I can't really spend time arguing with you. |
Dear brother: It's very easy to hear from God. What you need to do is spend time in His Presence: by this I mean spend time reading the bible and praying. Have a set time you do this every day. Morning and night, you can do so sometimes in the afternoons if you wish. Matthew 6 vs 33 tells us to seek the kingdom of God above all else and all will be added to us. God speaks through different ways and I'll list them for you below: 1. His word 2. Audible voice 3. People 4. Dreams and Visions 5. Truance 6. Revelation 7. Word of knowledge. If you want me to share my encounters of God with you please let me know and I will be willing to do so. |
@ Harakiri, Please what exactly do you really want to know? I am willing to share them if you have specific questions. I do not have time for arguements! My encounters with God are real and they are unique to me: just as one would read about Prothets and Apostles of God in the bible. Hope you understand! Thanks. |
God speaks to His children in different ways and at different times as we see all through the bible. I have had several experiences with God which I am willing to share with those Christians out there who truly want to walk with God like the men and women whom we see in the bible did. Please feel free to ask any questions as I would be willing to answer. Note: this thread/topic are only for those who are seriously seeking to have a deeper relationship with God. God bless |
@ EvilBrain You do not know me or haven't met me before. However you cannot stand in front of me and say the things you are saying here on NL. I know people who have encountered God more than I have. I have met them: they tell me their experiences and it is tested and proven to be true as it's aligns with scriptures (The bible). You may claim to believe in God: however you have limited Him to what you think He is in your mind. I still maintained that God is very real, more real than you can ever think or imagine. The events I mentioned in my recent posts were proven true by friends and family who know me as I told them these things in advance. When they happened: they knew straightaway that I am a true prophet (man) of God. Let me explain one of those events in detail. I live and work in the UK, and last year during the 2010 UK general elections: I was rooting for the Labour Party under Gordon Brown to win. I supported them, persuaded friends friends on reasons why I thought Gordon Brown should remain in power. Three days to the election: God gave me a dream, and in this dream I was upstairs in my room at home where I live in London. The news came on air (Sky News) if you know about it in the UK: I heard the song of the news programme starting from the TV downstairs and they were about to announce the results of the elections. I quickly ran downstairs and saw my younger sister in the sitting room. I stopped at the stairs (you can see our sitting room from the staircase) and called my sister to ask her who won the election as they had announced it. She turned to me, and before she said anything, I saw a look on her face which gave me the answer. I knew Gordon Brown had lost the election because in our house (family) we all wanted Gordon Brown who was still the Prime Minister then to win. Then as I got to the living to see the TV for myself, I saw David Cameron being unveiled as the new Prime Minister, he was waving to the public and there were so many journalists and camera men around him. I woke up from that dream knowing that whatever happened in the elections, David Cameron was going to be the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom which turned out to be true. I told friends and family about this dream that God gave me and when it came to pass, they all came to me to acknowledge that God had truly spoken to me. God also told me about Yaradua's demise months before it happened. In this vision God took me to a room wherein I saw the wife of the late President: Tura'i and other close relatives of President Yaradua weeping and mourning. It was a very large room and at the centre of the room, there was a table in the which had a human body lying on it covered from head to toe. By the spirit of God I knew that was our late president. That vision was very strange as their was a very morbid presence in the room. I woke up knowing that our president's days were numbered. I put up a message on Facebook calling on all Nigerian Christians to pray for our president to accept Christ into his life |
@ Jayriginal, There is really no point arguing with you! You quote scripture out of context saying because I refer to the bible reference that calls atheists fools that I'm in danger of going to hell. I can give you several examples of things God has said to me in the past and every one of them have happened to the letter. My point to you is that I believe in God beacuse the bible makes His existence very clear, however I have also encountered Him several times: which makes me believe that stories in the bible about men of God such as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Elisha, David, Jeremiah, John the Baptist and the Apostles are true. You are entitled to your opinions: however my prayer for you is that God will make you understand what I am talking about by revealing Himself to you if you allow Him in to your life. God is so tangible and more real than this physical world you see around you. You are free to ask me about my encounters and I would be willing to answer them. Some examples of the things God has revealed to me in the past about future occurences which have happened are as follows: 1. David Cameron would be the next Prime Minister of Britian, before the UK elections 2. Spain would win the Fifa World Cup in 2010 overcoming strong oppositions such as Germany, and Holland who beat Brazil in the Quater Finals: considered to be one of the favourites . 3. Yohan Blake would win the 100metres Gold medal in the the World Athletics Championship in Daegu, South Korea rather than Usain Bolts 4. This is one for the future: if you are Nigerian, or you know about Nigerian current affairs, you must have heard of the terrorist group; Boko Haram. God has told me that their days as an organisation are numbered. They shall cease to exist very soon, as God would fish out those who are behind the evil group and expose them. His judgement would fall upon the group and disband them. 5. God also told me a day before about the bomb blast that would happen at the UN building in Abuja. He gave me a vision of how the event unfolded a night before the day it happened There are more encounters that are personal to me. I am willing to share them with any one who is interested. God bless! |
@Globexl I have no obsession for atheists like Wole Soyinka or Richard Dawkins who clearly have issues with God and need help. The reason why God is truly sovereign and supreme is the fact that you cannot fathom Him. You cannot tell of His beginning: it's all a mystery. There are so many mysteries around us which science has no answer to, for example: look at how small the human brain is: Yet it is so complex and has so much intelligible abilities than any computer ever made. You claim my encounters with God are just in my head: you do not know me and haven't met me before. You say when I have my next encounter I should record it in a tape as evidence. What a stupid suggestion. When you encounter God, the last thing on your mind will be to get a tape to record Him: because of the awe of His presence: you cannot even speak,. God have said things to me before: things of the future that will happen and they happen. I have had dreams and visions where God sends His angels to give me specific messages for someone or for myself. Whether you belive it or not: God is real and my experiences of Him remains with me forever. You know when you die: there is a place called hell for people like you who choose to ignore God all their lives. I'm gonna tell you straight-up as it is. People like yourself, Wole Soyinka, Richard Dawkins are gonna regret not acknowledging the living God in eternity if you carry on ignoring His call. |
God bless you strides for your contribution. With God-fearing women like you around, the future of Nigerian society is very bright! |
@ Jayriginal, You are the one who is deluded by saying God does not exist. In the bible: it is written that it's only a fool that says in his heart that there is no God. There is nothing you will say that will change the experiences/encounters of God that I have heard: even if you put a gun to my head and ask me to deny it. Who created you? where did you come from? when you die where are you going? why is the earth the only place where life is found in the entire universe as tiny as it is? There is no point arguing with you because you do not understand what I am saying. You cannot understand unless God helps you to do so. You are the one who needs help: because life without Christ is empty and pointless. You know deep down that you need God, so stop pretending and answer his call before it is too late! |
It is so sad these days that women who truly value themselves and respect their bodies are seen as extreme or alien (strange). Really the poster should have given the guy a 'dirty slap' for attempting to touch her. Please all you girls out there who say no to sex before marriage should keep what you are doing. @ poster, you should not be confused, even if all the men in the world are like the guy you told us about, do not give your body away. Real men have self-control and do not allow their sexual organs think for them. Speaking as a Christian, I do not belong to the category of 'men' who cannot respect a woman's body by demanding for sex during courtship. Ladies if he cannot value/respect your body in this regard then he is not worth marrying. |
@ bittertruth You have spoken well. The girl in question needs to consider the type of people she calls friends. There are many challenges in marriage and being a virgin before saying your vows doesn't make one immune to them. However there's a reason why God reserves sex for marriage alone. Both on this side of life and for eternity The earlier we learn thisthe better |
@Mazaje: I can tell you for a fact that there is a God. You may ask me: how do I know? I have had several encounters of Him, I have encountered several angels. God speaks to me just as a man speaks to his friend. These things I am telling you are what you read in the bible: however they are happening to myself and many other people across the whole world today. Let me tell you something: you are saying God does not exist because you do not know him, and from the way you have replied in your post, you don't seem to care to want to know Him, so why would He force Himself on you. When you are faced with a helpless situation: e.g your life or that of a loved one is threatened by a terminal illness that has no cure: then you will see that a hope inside of you begins to pray that God should be real and that he should be able to heal you or whoever is involved in the predicament. To encounter God is possible: Open your heart to Him and He will meet with you. |
@ Hisfavoryt, Those so-called friends who are advising this girl to compromise her faith and morals by sleeping with a potential suitor are totally wrong. As a God-fearing man, I would never ask to sleep with a lady I'm in relationship with before marriage. I share the same principle with your friend and please encourage her to wait and be patient for her right man to come: who would respect her body and would treat her for the queen that she is. Just like your friend: I can only marry a God-fearing lady, so sex is out of the question until after marriage. The bible teaches self-control: so all these guys who cannot court a woman without sex go on to encounter problems in their marital life in the future. Sex is 'sacred' and should only be embarked upon in union of holy matrimony (marriage) that's the way God sees it. It's Gods' precious gift to mankind however it must be enjoyed in the confines of marriage as it is sacred in the eyes of God Glad to be of help! |
There is the popular saying that goes: 'there is no place like home'. I have lived in the UK now for over 8 years and even though I am a British citizen by naturalization, my heart is always with Nigeria. It was an emotional return for me when I visited home 2 years ago after about 6 years living abroad. My feelings were mixed: I was happy to come home to see family and friends, to step foot on Nigerian soil (my country of birth). However certain things still remained the same or even grew worse since I travelled out in 2003 when I was 16. As I follow Nigerian news regularly: it breaks my heart to see the state of our nation both at Federal, State and Local Government level. Jesus famously said in the scriptures that "you will always have the poor amongst you": however I do not think he had the nation of Nigeria in mind when he made that statement. Let me explain what I mean. With the amount of wealth God has blessed Nigeria with: no Nigerian citizen should live in poverty. Take the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) as an example, their citizens are so well taken care of by the government that those who do not work are even paid by the government and they live comfortable lives than even people who live in the affluent West (e.g. U.S.A and the U.K). God has a plan for Nigeria: and contrary to what a lot of so-called prophets (men of God) have been saying: Nigeria will never divide because it is a nation at the heart of God. As far as God is concerned, Nigeria in Africa is what Israel is in the Middle East. Please listen to true men of God like Pastor W.F. Kumuyi and Pastor E.A Adeboye who prophesied greatness for Nigeria in the years to come. I saw them say this live at the celebration of Nigeria's Golden Jubilee, last year here in the UK when they visited and I know what they said is genuine because as a man of God myself, God has also said the same things to me too. Here are some key changes that needs to be made as God transforms Nigeria into one of the greatest nations on earth: these are both political and prophetic: 1. Only a God-fearing man can take Nigeria to the promised land that God intends for it. Our President Goodluck Jonathan is trying his best in this regard. However let me warn: gone are the days when government personnel will steal from Nigeria's wealth and go scott free. No Government official: whether at Federal, State or Local government level should ever take more than what his salary allows him. The wealth Nigeria has is given by God and it is meant for the whole country( for the good of the common people). Stealing from Nigeria's wealth is like stealing God's money and God will not take it likely with whosoever does so. 2. The days of Boko Haram are numbered: those sponsoring them to make life hell for Nigerians will have themselves to blame when they face the wrath of God. 3. The idea of the 'Godfather' in Nigerian politics must be totally eradicated. No body (no matter who they are or what role they have played in Nigerian Politics) has the right to install any leader on the Nigerian people. I don't want to mention names, however those who I am talking about know themselves. Two of them were fighting themselves recently and there are more of them. No one is bigger than the nation of Nigeria: every man is equal in God's eyes so these so-called Godfathers of Nigerian politics better be warned. 4. Every politician that has stolen from Nigeria's wealth must return it immediately to the Nigerian government or face the wrath of God. 5. Corruption must be totally eradicated form Nigeria: from the government, civil service, police, military, all sectors of the economy (both private and public) 6. Government appointments must be based on merits and not on 'who knows who' as we have seen in Nigeria in the past. The same goes for every other sector in the country. Admissions into University, employment at work places, police and military promotions e.t.c 7. Worship of idols, cultism, kidnappings, ritual killings must stop as God wants Nigeria to be dedicated to Him as a nation. Scripture says: 'Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to the people'. 8. No man of God must condone any corrupt or wicked politician by accepting tithe from them when they have stolen from the government or keep quiet when they see such politician in the wrong: oppressing the people God gave them to lead. 9. All so-called ministers of God in Nigeria who go on deceiving people: taking money from them and telling them lies should desist from such act immediately before God decides to judge them. 10. God is calling on men and women of the entertainment industry to turn to Him so He can use them to become good role models for young Nigerian boys and girls (even adults too). Nollywood and the Nigerian music industry must beware that God will no longer condone any form of immorality or obscenity in the execution of their work. God expects these people to show good examples to the viewing public: thereby glorifying Him in the process. Every entertainment star you see today is what they are because God allowed them and they must know that He can easily pull them down just as He raised them up from nothing to becoming somebody prominent in society God bless our great nation: Nigeria! He/she who has an ear, let him/her hear what God is saying! |
Well I believe a girl up to the age of going to University should have been taught how to cook by her mum regardless of how rich they are. She can still learn from her friends while at university or each time she visits home. Cooking on a womans part is vital to a successful married life. |
In as much as I believe that your man is hiding something from you: the most important thing for you to do is to hear what God is saying concerning this man. Marriage and relationship/courtship is not the same. Your boyfriend/fiance is displaying signs for you to be truly concerned about. Take everything to God in prayer and He will surely direct you. This is your future we are talking about remember. God bless! |
God thank you for making me see another wonderful day! You are worthy to be praised. Thank you daddy. |
