Chucks13:Young man, whether Obi become president or not, it wouldn't change what God had destined me to be. So swift with your bukum and hate for this nation. But your kind is always quick to brandish increase in macroeconomics and other kinds that favoured your backward policies that are not reflected in the lives of the ordinary citizens. Double faced APC supporter. |
Chucks13:Those that have been ruling this country and even the present one, what has been the results? The world poverty capital. What a result. |
twilliamx:Mr. Man, no single fuel producing country that sells as high as Nigeria. If you've used the same Google well, you would not have been tempted writing this bukum. All this fuel scarcity you're talking boils down on system failure and not because it is normal. Many at times the people that wished to rip the nation of her wealth create the artificial scarcity to recruit money. Just simply kill the corruption in the oil sector and the country will fall to shape. Also know this, fuel primarily drives our economy. Every slight increase in fuel or energy price, there's a corresponding increase in all goods and services. We are oil dependent in everything and that is why a good leader must be conscious in not deepen the problem of the people. This is not a rocket science but application of common sense and economy. |
TopBanter:See the category of people that are praising Tinubu's reforms below: The APC as a political party APC and Tinubu supporters World Bank and IMF because they want him to collect more loans and pluck the country into avoidable debt. Any reform that plucked or plucking citizens to deep of poverty and penury is no reform but anti people reform. Reforms are meant to lift people up and create leverage for them, not the one that take away the little you have. Do you know what it would take to bring those that had already below poverty line out? Too easy to destroy but difficult to build. Thankfully even members of his political family are also crying because of his anti people reforms that have lowered the purchasing power of the people. This is why I laughed when Shettima was saying Obi gives bogus stat without localizing our problem but forgotten that they rely heavily on IMF and World Bank advice and had refused to localize our problem. These foreign advises are they one killing the system and the citizens. The take home for is this. It's easy to destroy than to build. If Tinubu put more than 79% of the citizens below the poverty line, how much is it going to cost to bring them out? Easy to destroy than to build. |
Basic123:You're lying. They should see themselves as someone that can be used for the nation's assignments, as the presidency is a position in trust and not monarchial that you know who is the next. |
Basic123:Mr. Man, personalizing it makes it wrong. Please who did the roll call of those to be president in this country that Tinubu has to come out to say it is his turn. Please after him, whose next turn? Can you give us the name of the person and the list of those on the line for the next 50 years? We take so many things lightly in this country and that is why many leaders will just do whatever they like and get away with it. It is senseless for someone to say it is my turn and people fell for it without asking question, who chose you? Nations give leadership in trust and no one owns it. Tinubu really played on the intelligence of the good people of the nation and he get away with it. |
rossipki:Is fixing having different name? Fixing and turning the country to world poverty state. Is that how you're fixing your own life and career? Any fixing that doesn't lift people is anti people fixing my brother. |
Cherrybae:Any state that earmarked such outrageous amount is wickedness and unreasonable. |
It's outrageous to spend such amount only on billboard and this may overshot the benchmark on the amount a political party should expend on campaign. There is a need to appeal the judgement before it gets out of hand. Yes, it's within the statutory right for the state to make law but should not be done to impend the constitution and right of the citizenry. A billboard that would just last less than 6 months is pegged at 150m, It's outrageous. |
bamayo:Mr. Man, Nigeria is a rich country but our leaders frivolous spending is what is killing the system. There are things we must do without. See the number of aides the president and his vice is parading. See the number of special advisers. All that draining our resources must be eradicated. Frivolous spending must be jettisoned. A serious question must all be asked. Why are our refineries not working till date? OBJ said it less than 2 years ago and the president's parrots attacked him. A nation like Nigeria have no reason not to have functional refineries if truly we have good leaders. All the crop of leaders that we have had are all ojelus that doesn't want the good of this country. They just come empower their cronies and throw crumbs at their supporters and left the country even poorer than they met it. |
Olofofo247ng:Right path to turning the country and her people to gravevard of poverty in the world. What a nonsense path to perdition. The question is, should a reform take more people to early grave and poverty? I think a reform should lift people and not condemn people. The way the leaders in this country are transferring their responsibilities to the citizens, it is out of this world but the blind followers think otherwise. Very funny talk from pro-subsidy people, that returning the subsidy will encourage smuggling. Should the citizens be the one to go and police the borders because some people are smuggling fuel? Is that not an indictment on the leaders and those responsible to police the borders? The problem of this subsidy issue is just corruption, corruption and corruption and nothing more. Kill corruption or reduce it to the minimum and things will fall in place. When each institution do the needful, all the issue will fall in line. |
eazzzy1:Please I beg you, can you reel out what achievements Tinubu had had more than Atiku or you think been the president had made him better achieved than Atiku? Or are you saying Tinubu has more achievement than Dangote, since Dangote is not yet a president? |
3seriez:You got it. Kperogi is missing culture and politics together. He forgot that politics is all about individual interests and each wished to protect them. Throwing banter at your opponents and think it is a cultural thing is out of it. |
I think in this context of politics, Shettima is missing it. In a season of politicking, culturally norm should not mix with politics. We are in a season of politics and not on culturally setting. What you do in your home, if you bring it outside your comfort, it may not augur well. There are things we do that should require just common sense and approach for peace to reign supreme. |
fredoooooo:As you're expressing yourself, please let others express themselves too, everyone cannot be zombies as many of you want. Do your zombie jejely and let others loose themselves. |
favor914:People are waiting for him to create enabling environment the same way other countries of the world are doing. Create good environment for our people and see the wonders of Nigerians. |
favor914:People are not lazy, it is the system that had failed them and still failing them today. Go around see how people are struggling to meet needs legally and you will know that people are resilient to make it but the system they find themselves doesn't help their course. |
favor914:Democracy doesn't failed us but leadership does. We have been having leadership problem from inception and that is what has brought us where we are today. |
MaziObinnaokija:But Ojukwu will not be as bitter as Soludo playing his politics today. Ojukwu is wiser in politics than Soludo. Soludo has missed the opportunity and he will be forgotten in Igboland after his tenure as a governor. Do you see other governor attacking Obi in SE? Even Hope that carry APC in his shoulder doesn't for once attack Obi but unwise professor take it upon himself to be a spoiler. You see Umahi restraining from attacking Obi? He did it once and he was cautioned and he stopped since then but our unwise professor continues in his political perdition. |
Magnumproperty:But do you think people will allow what happened in 2023 to repeat itself. Rivers people are 100% ready, nobody will shortchange them at the polll again. The lesson had been learnt. |
Chucks13:Go and see the results in 2023 and come back to edit your comment. Anyone who promise to deliver Tinubu in SE or SS is just making mouth, especially the SE. They would prefer to waste their votes than to cast it for Tinubu and APC. Take this home. |
opeldavid:Soludo may succeed in killing APGA with his unprofessional politics that he is doing thinking he is undoing Obi. Do you see any governor attacking Tinubu directly in South West? Do you see same in the north attacking Atiku? All are protecting their own but Soludo is playing dirty politics because of scrubs. The unwise professor. The professor of books, unwise in common sense. |
HacheNoire:I pity you and Soludo in Anambra state, the way Peter Obi will beat you guys into stupor. Only a stupid person will show his father's house with left hand and that is what Soludo is trying to do but he will be humbled by his own people including his immediate family. |
favor914:Young man, Nigerians are not lazy. They're the most resilient people in Africa but lacked enabling environment that can make them flourish. See the exploits of those outside the country where the environment allows them to showcase their hidden treasures. Nigeria is a killer of destinies, no two way about that. |
olaadenigeria:This one has conditioned himself to poverty and don't care about good economy. All he is after is for his party and men complete 8 years, as to damage the country beyond repair. Even if you've signed contract with backwardness and underdevelopment, always remember that not everyone does that. |
HallahGeisher:This is the same mindset those in government are carrying about and that is why they don't know what to do. Shame! |
Tinubu has tried. He's truly a master strategist and a builder of Lagos that has refused to replicate such building nationally but dipped many into excruciating poverty and penury. APC and her supporters are curse to this country. They think playing politics is equal to governance. They succeeded in playing kalokalo with Nigerian masses. |
gigabyte13:He doesn't have mad mouth but only uncultured and untrained. Same way he talked less of Atiku, until he was corrected and today he has to chose his words right by calling Atiku baba and even advising them not to diminish him. While the people of the south laughed as he talked down on Peter Obi at every opportunity, forgetting that Obi is like his father too. |
Cyberterror:Lagos has never lacked FG effects or impacts from inception of our independence. Every head of state or President before now had invested heavily in Lagos infrastructure. The military even did the biggest work there. Meanwhile, point of correction Lagos is not the most populated state please. |
OlaMiki:And that was what the writer want. He should come and tell the good people of Kaduna what he has promised them and what he was able to deliver after three and half years. At least, he has promised them some thing before, he should go there and campaign on what he was able to delivered on. |
fredoooooo:This is not about tear but about dividend to their state. I know and many know that some of you, especially the APC's supporters, that you've signed contract with backwardness and poverty. Progress and development of your environment and state is none of a business to you and your ilks. If it is diabolical for you to subject your leaders to account, please let others do and stop spitting about Nairaland forum. |
Mynd44:Young man, where is the lie in what Mr. Obi said? Soludo and his government had not told us or the world that Mr. Obi took any loan in any bank. None has mentioned any bank that Obi and his government enter to take loan. I think it would be great if Soludo and his government can tell us bank(s) that Obi took loan. I think that would save all side talks. If I may presume, the debt may be accumulation of contracts awarded and yet to be paid because Obi had repeatedly said he never entered any bank to take loan or bond during his reign. And he did said, all contracts awarded that had been completed and satisfied were paid to date before he left office. What I expected Soludo and his government to do is to reel out loans obtained by Obi with reference to specific banks and not this roforofo. |
