I finished from uniport last year and I can tell you that most of them that are applying don't even know what the course entails..most can't cope with the epic mathematics that accompanies it resulting in most dropping out.

Thank God them dey underate computer science.. The fewer of us, the better..

Graduated last year from uniport, good at over half a dozen programming languages Chief among them being c#, databases and currently self learning web design while waiting for NYSC batch B by November.

There's a reason computer science is being taught in the university for 4-5 years...learning programming on coursera won't put one on equal footing with a computer science graduate because a computer science graduate has supporting knowledge of data structures, automata theory, operating systems , computational methods just to mention a few. A computer science graduate knows when to avoid using 3 nested "IF" loops in logic so as to avoid complexity of algorithm...that is an example of something you won't come across while learning on your own if you don't know what to look for specifically..
So whenever I see computer science related elements being taken as one you can do without a degree, I just laugh.
Make me and a degree-less person go for job with same skills or me slightly below in skill-set see who dem go hire..

Less than N7000 in only printing due to corrections by supervisor. I graduated from comp.sci so I developed/coded my research application myself from scratch.. No much expenses but fine tuning my app to the supervisor's satisfaction was really stressful and challenging, made me a better programmer today.

I'm positively shocked..used to think ebonyi was quite underdeveloped.. I'll choose it as one of my NYSC states for batch B this Nov, though don't know how possible it is..studied in uniport, from IMO state.

Once in a while, it wouldn't be bad to see our reps in such meetings/summit wearing a suit. I'm not against being yourself or portraying your culture but heck... this is corporate summit not a cultural summit. I maybe wrong though, albeit expressing my personal opinion.

Corporate and cultural wears are subject to interpretation here. The suit is a corporate attire to most except the African continent. Osinbanjo is not running afoul of any protocols there.

Let it be scrapped biko..I graduated since last October, my dept wasn't even mobilised for this batch A, which means we have to wait for stream 2 or batch B by November, waste of 1 year before even service for us.

I graduated last year from uniport's computer science department and I concur A.I is just the way forward..as it so happens, in the 4 year duration of degree, you can't be taught every field in computer science ( of which there are so many core fields/majors eg programming, database, web, data security, data structures, algorithms, big data analytics, data mining etc) so to delve into such a field as broad as A.I for a major, you have to do it post grad. Preferrably abroad.
