Kpilo101:It's already late, God knows I won't near anything called farm again, I will rather buy from the market, moreover I will be leaving the state soon, may God help farmers all over the country, I know one day monkey go go market, e no go return. You can't leave grass and be feeding on people's sweat and you think they will continue clapping for you, that's wickedness now. |
Watch video below, I was able to upload the video on youtube so that I can share it here, hopefully seun will introduce direct video sharing here, that would make it a lot easier for us https://youtube.com/shorts/H6X-HCNNrE8?si=rna3qv6V_TsgOZGr |
Zonefree:That's the best thing to do, as far as I am concerned, safety first, I can't confront someone with a weapon, once there is life there is hope. |
Sonnobax15:Seriously, this is not good at all, now I feel the pains of farmers first hand. Our leaders should have mercy on us and put a stop to this injustice |
I just returned from my farm now heart broken. What is the way forward in this country my people? How can someone use his own cow business to spoil another one's source of income. After my NYSC in Bauchi, I decided to do small business and farming at the same time before going back to my state, so I paid for a farmland, paid for the land tilling and extra hands that assisted me through out the process. The land is big though, I divided it into two, one part for rice and the other part for maize and soya beans. After a month of cultivation, I discovered that fulani herdsmen are a menace in that area, I hurriedly barricaded the maize and soya bean part with sticks and thorns that I was able to get within the farm but I was unable to cover all the entire farm space because of the size. So today I decided to check my farm and see if my maize is due for harvest, that was how I saw two fulani boys grazing on the farm, the eldest upon sighting me on bike, quietly left the farm, leaving only his younger accomplice on the crime scene, as you can see from the picture below, well I did as if I didn't see anybody, I covered the farm with my phone camera before heading to the maize side to plug some maize. It's unfortunate that they cleared the whole rice farm, like there is nothing left for me on the land now, my allowee savings gone, my efforts and transport to and fro also gone, is this what farmers are going through in Nigeria, this is actually my first time farming, first time investing in Agriculture. Who will compensate me now, nobody. I just have to count my loss and move on. Bauchi state governor please call this herders to order, our leaders need to sit up. Farmers can not continue to toil in vain in this nation. It is well.
