Sorry about this the great farmer. This is what all of us is going through especially for us farming rice. The rice will grow back again if it has not started producing seeds but my fear now is that the fertilizer you've used plus rain is going. So sorry.
It's already late, God knows I won't near anything called farm again, I will rather buy from the market, moreover I will be leaving the state soon, may God help farmers all over the country, I know one day monkey go go market, e no go return. You can't leave grass and be feeding on people's sweat and you think they will continue clapping for you, that's wickedness now.

Intruders in your farmland and you did as if you didn't see anybody?
Why so?
That's the best thing to do, as far as I am concerned, safety first, I can't confront someone with a weapon, once there is life there is hope.

I just returned from my farm now heart broken.
What is the way forward in this country my people? How can someone use his own cow business to spoil another one's source of income.

After my NYSC in Bauchi, I decided to do small business and farming at the same time before going back to my state, so I paid for a farmland, paid for the land tilling and extra hands that assisted me through out the process.
The land is big though, I divided it into two, one part for rice and the other part for maize and soya beans.
After a month of cultivation, I discovered that fulani herdsmen are a menace in that area, I hurriedly barricaded the maize and soya bean part with sticks and thorns that I was able to get within the farm but I was unable to cover all the entire farm space because of the size. So today I decided to check my farm and see if my maize is due for harvest, that was how I saw two fulani boys grazing on the farm, the eldest upon sighting me on bike, quietly left the farm, leaving only his younger accomplice on the crime scene, as you can see from the picture below, well I did as if I didn't see anybody, I covered the farm with my phone camera before heading to the maize side to plug some maize.
It's unfortunate that they cleared the whole rice farm, like there is nothing left for me on the land now, my allowee savings gone, my efforts and transport to and fro also gone, is this what farmers are going through in Nigeria, this is actually my first time farming, first time investing in Agriculture. Who will compensate me now, nobody. I just have to count my loss and move on. Bauchi state governor please call this herders to order, our leaders need to sit up. Farmers can not continue to toil in vain in this nation. It is well.

I went to the market to buy food stuff, so I decided to make 10,650 naira withdrawal before I start buying things, lo and behold, I was debited on my opay account but declined on the moniepoint terminal, the pos lady initiated a reversal request, this happened yesterday morning, till now, the money has not been reversed, I ended up going back home without buying anything heart broken. I have sent countless messages to moniepoint via WhatsApp no response, even sent mail, nothing yet, pls any moniepoint agent here to assist me.

Padipadi:
Godwins4 this a good idea above. As for business to do with N60K. It has to be very small scale. Like selling airtime or POS business. Economy is so bad that N60K is used for daily food by sine people. If na lie go to eatery if you don't eat N20K worth food at once.
Yeah, you are right, all hands are not equal, some can even spend it in one hour sef, lol. Same 60k is still someone's prayer point, people like me currently. Thanks for your advice, I already have pos, I will add airtime and data to the business.
