Politics / Re: I Visited BAUCHI, Is Not What I Expected! by Godwins4: 1:47pm On Mar 11
Bauchi is a calm and peaceful place, people here mind there business alot, it's an ideal place for introverts, though money is not here but the tranquility is topnotch, you can engage in inter state trade from here also . If you have digital skill you will enjoy here because of the steady power supply. But house rent here is more expensive than other northern states.

Pls can I get it from the bank and who knows the process, especially the documents required? I can pay it off within 6 months, soybeans, rice, beans and groundnut is very cheap here that's the business I want to go into. I also want to import crayfish and Ogbono here because it is very expensive. I will also appreciate anybody from the south ready to partner with me, I will provide all my details to show how genuine I am, you can also contact anybody that resides in Bauchi to know where I live.

Nairaland / General / This Is What I Did Instead Of Waiting For The Government by Godwins4: 9:45am On Mar 08
It's after NYSC that you will truly understand the meaning behind "So help me God" at the end of our national pledge, especially if you don't have people at the helm of affairs.
As a young graduate with no wealth to fall back or people to ask for help, I decided to take the bull by the horn instead of waiting for white collar job, you can check my previous thread where I solicited for help in securing a job, but since no help came my way, I decided to help my self.
I just sold some few properties I have to relocate to North, paid for my rent, bought pos and banner, paid for shop and about to start business. Now I want to go into food stuff business, hopefully I will be able to export it to other part of the country with time due to how cheap farm produce is here.
My problem now is capital, everything is set just start up capital is a clog in my wheel of progress. Please who knows where and how I can secure a loan of atleast 200k to support the business, I have my original NYSC certificate for collateral. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, please I really need your help.

I have a twelve years old son who is very lanky, he looks d*mn too malnourished for comfort. He was very robust from birth till around the age of 8, when all of a sudden he started depreciating, initially, we thought it was a normal thing, as he was growing taller too, but now, I can't even bring myself to post his pictures on my status. He looks just like 7up's Fido Dido.

Now, this is a boy who eats whatever he wants, he's well fed, and lacks nothing. But with his looks, you will doubt that he's even fed at all. Although he looks far from being healthy, but he rarely falls sick. He's so skiny that whoever sees him, asks us what's wrong with him. Another thing, he always leaves his mouth opened, something that has now affected his teeth. We tried every tricks in the book to stop this, but to no avail, he can hardly keep his lips shut for more than 30 seconds.

Now, he's is a very hyperactive boy and finds it difficult concentrating atimes, but he's well above average in school.

Kindly help with solutions to this problem, it brings tears to my eyes as we have done everything we can think of to reverse this. Recently, a doctor suggested we place him on egg regimen, he now eats 3 eggs daily, but there seems to be no changes whatsoever.
Recommended medications, specialist or hospital we can take him to, preferably in the South West would be highly appreciated.

He's my only child, please help a desperate father!!!🥺
Op try preparing Tom Brown for him and thank me later

That's mean Sis. Even without jobs people have been surviving, 3 months won't kill, people make sacrifices for what they want in life, if I had the means I won't open this thread, I am also glad people are getting offers through the thread, even if I don't get the help I need here, I will be glad if others get, God will make a way for me if my destiny helper is here, he can raise someone, I don't doubt Him.

Oga,
You studied English Language and you're jobless? That's strange. Is it that you don't want to pick up a teaching job or something? Or aren't you aware that English Language teachers are in high demand? If you're in Lagos, you have no business putting up this post, because your field is a cash cow over here.
I am not in Lagos.

I hate it that my parents had 6 kids. For what? Then you stress the older children for no just cause. I repeat ,no do pass yourself. Parents should provide for kids since they chose to have them
No be small thing oo, and this kids are very stubborn, lol. We are just at the receiving end of a sister who chose to be wayward, now that she is no more, the living has to take up responsibilities they never bargained for, we have started work afresh on the kids to train them because their mother spoilt them.

How will you cater to your responsibilities for those three months if you give your pay away?
I will survive. I have been jobless for long, three months won't affect me, it's a sacrifice to get what I want.

so how will you now survive the 3 months without your salary and what if the company come sack you after 3 months.
You sound very desperate and that calls for concern, you might be a thief looking to go and steal someone company or even a kidnapper looking for client, i don't trust you.
Bro even if you can't help, don't accuse me of things that I am not, I am open for background check, and proof of identity for anyone that request it. As for the survival, God will see me through, I had to summon courage to bring it here because you don't know what people are going through.

Family / Re: My Lil Bro Plays With Girls, How Do I Stop It? by Godwins4: 11:45am On Jan 17
Gadafii:
Growing up even before your lil bro age I played ith both boys and girls my age, younger and older

Infact my child hood was full of adventures I was barely at home , went hunting rabbits, rats, birds, fishing, climbed cashew trees, use stones and woods to pluck mangos at some point even hunted agama lizards then with our catapults

I was notorious outside, I collect injuries tired, on one occasion my head was split open with a big stone while I was under a cashew tree.

Roll tyres around the neighborhood with my gangster friends, in school I dey abscond with my friends to go suck cashew or steal corns from some stingy teachers farm who used students as labourers in their farms them, we Dey trek kilometers to go play ball for another community, most time na fight dey end am

I am grateful for the kind of childhood I had while we were not so rich we never lacked the basics, especially food and clothing. Tho I didn’t have lots of toys, but we fabricated many. all of these are are instrumental on the type of person I am today

I was the last born in a polygamous home, boys and girls everywhere, we played togther but I was with the boys the more, why am I sayin these??

The environment one grows up in shapes him/her. Encourage your lil bro to invite his Hommies around, since you already have a gaming console at home, except he doesn’t have male friends outside or at school

It’s not bad for him to play with little girls, but you sister must monitor him closely, I am not saying he will do something silly tho

This was just my life while growing up, the only difference is that I did not steal due to the fear of God in me, but I was adventurous.
