Thanks bro, but I thought one can buy from the secondary market anytime regardless the auction date, this is because I am trying to buy from the secondary market. Pls educate me in this, I am a newbie in thus and it will be my first time of investing..

Please be aware there is another auction next week. Endeavour to submit your instruction asap, preferably on Monday; 19 June. There is no auction on 28 June, but there's one on 21 June. I will upload the Treasury bills timetable again for this quarter. Good luck with your application

Hello sis,

Interest is calculated using this formula: PRT/100 where P is the Principal, R is the Rate and T is the Time.

If you want to invest N5 million for 91 days (3 months) at the rate of 13.4%

Interest will be N5,000,000 * 13.4/100 * 91/364 which will be N167, 500.

However, if you want to go for longer tenor i.e 364 days at the rate of 18.5%, your interest will be N5,000,000 * 18.5/100 *364/364 which will be N925,000.

Good evening house, I was at GTB today to inquire about their rate, they told me 13.0% for 91 days and 16.5% for 182 days, while Stanbic said 17.3% for 182 days, both are for secondary market.. I just opened an account with Stanbic today but they said till June 28th before they sell Tbills again and that I can't buy immediately.. I don't understand all this o..

We dey follow una for back, it is quite sad that I had a poor result in the ielts we did on May 25th..LRWS.. 6.5,6,7.5,7....am still surprised about the reading aspect... I am intending to write another one in July.

This is my questions, I intend to buy Tbills with my proposed POF, that money has been sitting in that account for long, I want to make money from it.. My question is thus..

1) if I buy Tbills with the POF what evident can I use to proof that the POF is mine and not arranged..i understand some banks doesn't give Tbills Cert again. I intend to use Stanbic

2) I transferred the money from Bank A which is my major acc to Bank B because I didn't want to blow the money, now I want to transfer it to Bank C for Tbills purpose because of high interest rate. When the time comes to show POF, will I need to submit all the 3 banks acc statements to show how I got the money

Pls house I need answers to these questions so I can prepare for when I will need to show the POF..

1.) Run from Ecobank.

Am not sure if that bank is good for anything right now. For your information they are in the process of shutting down 74 branches Nationwide. I guess that should explain a lot.

2.) Yes You can use IBTC or FBN. They are on fire right now. GTbank is not bad sha, You need to open account new account, unless you have existing.

3.) I can get FBN secondary Market rate for you tomorrow morning. The last 2 days has been tough for them: Poor network.

Others can help you with IBTC rate.

4.) Remember point 1.

Thanks bro, am learning.. I have been keeping my money in that account for long now, I didn't even do FD sef, they are just paying me 15k interest per month.. I will need to go and open FBN and Stanbic savings account

1) Has anybody here used Ecobank to buy TB, is their rate good like other banks.. I intend to do 91 days Term

2) if I am to use Stanbic because of their good rate, I guess I Will need to open an account with them and move my money there.. Pls am I right on this?

3) what was the last secondary market bid rate of Stanbic for a 91 days term

Ecobank has been flexing with my money and paying me small monthly interest. I wish I have known better.
