Good day my experienced guru, you gyz advice did help, I eventually took my Honda acoord 2004 to an experienced Rewire guy who scanned it, though he didn't give me details of what the scan result was he just told me he will service d gear shift sensor and change my car raising switch that does not go above 3000rmp, I gave him go ahead, and he did it well and my gear now shift smoothly. I spent around 11k, I also work on my keystarter too total of 15k was spent.
I change my car ATF to Dw1 earlier but it didn't solve the problem. But the car is fine now, thanks

Hello car experience guru in the house, pls i need ur advice and counsel about my 2004 Honda Accord transmission issues.

Am a low income earner and I need a car for a family purpose as its kind of becoming a shameful thing not to have a car to move one family around esp as my wife is d type that love eaten out and having a family outing once a while.
I eventually bought a Nigerian used Honda accord 2004 model, though I don't really know how to check Nigeria used car before purchase but as a layman I look around it with a mechanic, engine sound well, AC cooling, and he promise to change d gear as he confessed that the gear isn't fine. I was glad.

I have bn driving it fine for like a year, though I have bn spending to fix some stuffs like kick starter, new battery, wiper engine, water pump, steering rack, belt, and still planning to change the shock absorber, broken bumper, car stereo, ignition that seize often, some window engine too, u can understand what a low income earner like me is going through.

I notice the car jerk when it get to 3000rmp or rpm, mechanic said I will change the complete stwich as he tried working on it and could not work, I plan to change it this month of march, Again I observe the gear doesn't shift, I took it to the mechanic he check different things but at the end he said d ATF is short, I bought additional oando ATF to top it and I test drive it, the gear shift but delayed and jerk, on my way home it will stuck suddenly, I have to move the gear front and backward b4 it pick again but still delayed and jerk b4 shifting and then stuck again, it did that thrice before I drove from ikeja to shogunle In lagos about 10mins drive.
I came online to check from ppl that had a similar experience and how they solve it, most ppl suggest changing of ATF oil to Honda Dw1, I did that but the problem is still the same, am afraid I hope am not going to buy another gear box bcs it's really given me a sleepless night. Pls I need your advices pls, thanks.
