Then you are the one that can't read the room properly, what's my take on who win or not?
The argument stems from if America should continue allowing American manufacturing to be inside or outside America, and I have reasons to why America should bring manufacturing back to America.

Not every likes playing second fiddle to the east or the west
Zero.sum game for US.

Certainly for this generation.

Can you even see how its 2 closest neighbours, are presently living with distrust to the US?

You cannot go to war with every country and win.

It is not possible.

Seunmuham:
if this is a question, I'll say it's better the money stays in America than going to china.

Even if the rich gets richer, hope you know the chain reaction it will trigger, the supply chain, insurance, tax. There will be money in the real sector. and still better than when the money stays outside.

Also hope you know that common vehicle manufacturing is very very vital to national security?

Or do as America dominated the ship building sector in the past with up to 300 ship building yards, but now china dominate that sector leaving china with less than 20yards presently.

Hope you know how important ship building is important to national security?

Not every country is like Nigeria that's liking either the west or the Chinese
I think you are simply going round in circles.

Looking for a way that suggests US wins, when they clearly won't.

America has lost an edge, brought about by globalisation and the demystification of American superiority.

Same is happening to Europe.

China has been able to hold a balance by producing for all, being quite wealthy, still creating a sense of mystery by how closely they guide their country, culture government and investments.
Foreign Affairs › Re: China Retaliates With Tariffs On US Goods After Trump’s Move by Golan007: 4:15pm On Feb 04, 2025
SIRTee15:
The guy is right. Even Chinese themselves agree that they are behind the west when it comes to innovation.

Their comparative advantage lies in unrivalled and unparalleled manufacturing scale and a very serious focused government.

Chinese manufacturing scale and prowess is so vast I don't think any other country can compete in another 50 years. China manufacturing value chain is almost 100% for 99% of what they produce.

The only way manufacturing can leave china is if the west or any other country develop a new way of production, like what happened during the industrial revolution when UK took over manufacturing.

The reason why U think china is technological advanced is because whatever is innovated elsewhere, once china gets hold of it, it's game over.
Trust me within few years they will replicate it and produce a cheaper if not a better version.

Look at robotics, electric cars and AI. All were innovated by the west, but right now china is leading in all 3 industry.
China is about to produce more electric cars than all other nations combined. China electric car BYD is set to be the largest car manufacturing company in the world beating even Toyota. They are growing by over 500% every year.

All those tiktok tech application videos doesn't mean innovation.
Showing videos of drones delivering fast food to homes isn't innovation. U can replicate such in Ogbomoso if the demand and resource is available.

Look at driverless cars, despite all the noise on tiktok videos about autonomous cars in china, no Chinese company has achieved any meaningful breakthrough. All they do is some experimental propaganda videos in a very controlled environment.

But let any western company start production of driverless cars, china will take over within few years.

That's their strength. Whether its a good or bad
strength, that's up for debate.
No western nation has mastered driverless cars either.

Which means it is still an open race.

In the modern day, it is difficult to hide information, and China has a policy to seek and use information.

There's a workaround. If American manufacturers bring their companies back to the US and try to automate it as much as possible, cost of production might come down
Then the workman in America would be wealthy?

Those ones have surpassed USA now by so many years.
USA that's not serious again, They stopped being tech leaders, top researchers and starting campaigning worldwide for LGBTQ and all that gender rubbish.

US is actually losing its place due to the awareness of the rest of the world.

If America moves manufacturing to south Korea instead of China,it will shake China as they are Americas major trading partner.

Alot of country's has started renegotiating to avoid the tariffs.
It will be in the interest of both countries to calm down, but America has the upper hand for now.
South Korea has the world's lowest fertility rate, which keeps dropping year on year. In 2023, the birth rate was 0.72 - far behind the 2.1 required to maintain a stable population in the absence of immigration. Estimates suggest that if this trend continues, South Korea's population could halve by the year 2100.

By the way, South Korea has a population of 50 million people.

There's a reason why South Korea isn't the powerhouse it should have been.

And what's the purpose of the environmental university?

Are the undergraduate students supposed to curb the oil spillage as part of their CA or the lecturers write journals about oil spillage and deliver to the oil workers intermittently?

Establishing an environmental university in ogoniland is just a ploy by Tinubu to shut the ogoni people as these does not exactly solve the problem of oil spillage in ogoniland.
Somehow, once it has Tinubu's name on it, it must be wrong.

Nevermind, the Ogoni people requested for it.
