Israel like most countries, depends on a heavy tax regime every working adult MUST pay.

Besides that, Even though Israel is an economically sound country, its per capita income is just slightly better than that of Cyprus and far less than Germany, The Netherlands or even Italy.

The totality of ENTERPRISE of a country determines the standard of living of such a country, which would impact and relate with every sub reference - Safety, medicare, welfare, infrastructure, well-being etc.

Nigerians have yet to tell themselves the truth about living life.

Yesterday, a woman was burnt to death, allegedly on the basis of being the storekeeper of firearms for a nefarious group. Nobody cared about the rule of law, evidence based inference, commensurate punishment or the adverse effect not only on the victim but even innocent bystanders - children, those with psychological issues etc.

Same Yesterday, a police post was torched by an irate mob because a bike rider was allegedly shot and killed by a police man.
Same issue, nobody cares about the consequences of their actions, a group of people, easily over a hundred and all they could think about was was to burn thinking this would yield the solution.

It's a shame we as Nigerians have not advanced beyond our primitive instincts and values.

It is easy to admire other nations, people for their advancement and values whist we ourselves are not only unable to but far worse, unwilling to put in the work whether it be in our philosophy, work ethics, patriotism, dedication, ingenuity for the common good of us all.

The shame is on the common Nigerian because the common Nigerian eventually translates into a Nigerian with power at some point.
