DomPerignon:
Ndigbo collective mass delusions are a coping mechanism deployed since the failed January ibo coup to massage their bruised egos.

Coping mechanisms like "we fought not only Nigeria but the mighty British , Soviet empire and Egypt". Another quip is to sing their usual dull ballad like our Chinese character Ah Q mentioned above such as " we rose up back after the war and Awo's €20 policy heist our wealth" forgetting that it was Nigeria that nurtured them back to their feet ad not their war torn homeland which they all fled from after the final whistle was blown.

Ndigbo self deciet complex has made celebration of their tragrdies and defea as a sign of strenght which defeat encapsulates Ah Q’s entire existence – a blend of farce and tragedy, where self-deception persist.
Your write up is riddled with inaccuracies, generalisations, and senselessly offensive stereotypes. You trivialized the complexities of the 1967-1970 civil war which was supported militarily by Britain and soviet union as well as other powers. Your take on the aftermath of the civil war is indicative of your addled mind. Your reference to Ah Q is both laughable and shows a lack of understanding, which you've managed to decieve yourself as smartness. It is no news that the Igbos rebuilt after the war and are celebrated for community resilience.
Also, your claims lack evidence and relies on emotionally charged rhetoric. And all your quack references do not compensate for your lack of substantive argument. You've just managed to show your poorly constructed and biased screed that misrepresent history, and stereotypes an entire ethnic group with provocative rhetoric. Your entire posts on this thread lacks evidence, nuance or intellectual rigor and your derogatory tone undermines any potential for constructive dialogue.

DomPerignon:
There was a famous character called Ah Q in an early 20th century literature work in China. Ah Q is a loser but cannot accept his lowly station in life. So he goes around telling himself he is better than the other people around him, often saying “I was beaten by my bastard son” after losing a fight. In the end, he was framed for a robbery and sentenced to death. When he was signing his death warrant by drawing a circle (since he couldn’t write), he was more upset about the circle not drawn perfectly than the death sentence.
You aptly described a yoruba man

Yorubas probably form 20%. Igbos form 80%. In fact, most Nigerians arrested for drug trafficking offenses are Igbo now. It's fact that figures on nairaland will confirm. 9 out of every 10 na Igbo. Wetin you dey talk?

I am not happy with the later, but I pray that God will bring healing to his people and destroy the work of Satan trying to impact these people with negativity despite their vibrance. Devil will be put to shame on them, we don't need to mock, but to pray for them. It is not what they want. Those finding themselves in the drug pushers from among them can't even explain why they are there.

Yorubas don't brag they have bought the entire London and are "enslaving" the "lazy and unambitious Brits' in their own nation merely because they are enjoying success courtesy of a meritocratic society that regards hardwork and talent.

Yorubas don't dedicate their entire lives and focus to fighting those they met on ground in the UK. They join with them to contribute their bit to societal progress.

They are not nauseating supremacist always bragging they are better than all and forever insulting and putting others down.

That's the big difference between them and the 'developer' people.
But you're here Bragging

If it is crime-related.... we know our Southern brethren that dominate.

God bless the good people of Southsouth and southwest
Keep deceiving yourself with your fake SW affinity with SS. The SS has a more natural affinity to SE because there are more than 9 million ethnic igbos who are indigenous to the SS.
Also, it is obvious that your fake love for SS is motivated by oil, and I can tell you for free that you're on your own.
Also, Igbo people make their money through hardwork and grit, not the so-called fetish things. And as far as money r*tuals go, SW is the skull mining capital of Nigeria.

SE votes in irrelevant in national politics.

Maybe in state governorship. Senate and Rep

Presidential Una votes no mean anything
The SE constitutes 18-21% of the population. It is the SW votes that is actually irrelevant without the northern votes. As it stands the SW is on their own.

Tinubu does not need igbo vote to win again. His political strategy to get south south support is to counter south east. Nobody can fool tinubu cos he is ahead of every single living politicians in Nigeria currently politically.
His SS strategy is in and of itself a swing in the miss. Many SS people will not vote Tinubu regardless of their governor's political affiliation. They know that Tinubu just needs them for numbers and would shun them after elections without anything tangible.
The SW votes (and if by any miracle the SS align with Tinubu) will not win Tinubu the election without either the northern votes or the SE votes (based on sheer numbers of both voting blocs).
Be pragmatic in your reasoning.

Alliswell248:
But you know the Yoruba man is far better than your kinsman.

Data and achievement don't lie
There is no verifiable data in this world where the yorubas supercede the Igbos in anything.

Is it education? MICS study conducted by UNICEF shows that the SE has the highest literacy rate in the country.

Is it wealth distribution and poverty? The NBS data shows that the SE has the lowest prevalence of multidimensional poverty in the country.

Is it HDI? The SE states have higher HDI than all the SW states except lagos (for obvious reasons). And if you account for ethnic groups in the Lagos HDI, the Igbos contribute a major share.

Is it Economic mobility? An average Igbo is more likely to move up the economic ladder than the average yoruba.

The Igbos are the most educated black race in diaspora and have a higher global foot print in STEM fields than yoruba.

Otherwise..

They will eat soaked bread in tea as Tinubu once said.

Baba didn't even bother going there to campaign. He remembered Buhari described them as 5 % dot in circle. grin
The SE constitutes 18-21% of the Nigerian population and by extension they constitute a major voting bloc. Also, the dot in a circle description is as s*nseless as the man Buhari.
Soaked bread? Oh please! Enjoy your agbado, cassava and garri.

I just dey pity you, be like say you no know how toxic these people are, they will come for your head, we Nigerians have learnt how to deal with them, they will just use the excuse that you are non Nigerian to tell you to mind your own business

But don't worry, of the 3 big tribes , they are the smallest and the most inconsequential.....the only thing they are good at is trading, not even making money as you erroneously claimed.
Besides the so called bouncing back is only possible because other Nigerians patronized them, so it wasn't as if They performed any magic.
Mr Oodua republican, the Igbos are larger, more educated, wealthier, more prosperous, and have higher HDI than the Yorubas. Every statistic proves this.

Pardon my english where you will find errors, its not my main language

I was interested to know more about Nigeria ever since i was fond of Nigerian movies in Late 90s to 2000s, by that time i thought all Nigerians wear red caps, greet by saying igwe, and other stuff but it was later when i knew it was just one tribe.

Any way to cut the story short, with the rise of internet i digged deeper and knew about the Biafra war which i wouldn't like to talk more of it but i was just surprised how the Igbos bounced back fast, That's when i realized they are good in making money.

BUT ! i heard Igbos complaining Tribalism, at first i had pitty on them but as i dug deeper i somehow see the problem is also in IGBOS.

Being Loud at your neighbour homes is a big problem for Igbos, Its okay to be loud when you are successful at your home or far away in foreign lands, example Igbos can be loud in South East or in other countries outside Nigeria, The same to Yoruba can also be Loud in South west of other countries.

Problem with Igbos, Being Loud at neighbours example Lagos, and the loud i am speaking of also includes being provocative to natives, Just imagine your neighbour coming to the place you live and even ancestors lived a long time and they start to say it is no mans land, Chai !

The little small small success you have you start rubbing it on the natives, this is why uts very easy to shift a blame in Igbos, people already have a grudge it takes a little spark to make them burn the Igbo shops, destroy houses, etc. How dare you go to a neighbour house and start flexing as if you own it, the land their grand fathers resided, NOT IN MY HOUSE !!

I don't know much about the northern parts but for the little i know those places its more about religion, the places are filled with Muslims and even worse headed by these traditional rich leaders who wear like Arab sultans, i think those places play no games,

So Nigeria has 3 main Tribes Hausa, Yoruba's and Igbos but only 2 will be in charge, bad enough from what i have seen from the power game. the Igbos are left so behind, left to follow not to make decisions for a long time.

The only way Igbo can have power is getting on the same pace with Yoruba's, i will even praise Yoruba's they are some how with open arms, ready to be good neighbours if the Igbos are willing to change.

I see no Biafra, those are pipe dreams, with any possible means try to co exist with others
The op is definitely an oodua republican. They have gone to sophisticate and civilize Tanzania.
